We had received several quotes for shutters, but when Andy came out to give us a quote, his professionalism and knowledge (along with competitive price) far exceeded the other individuals that we spoke to. As we recently moved here from the Midwest, Andy took the time to educate us on the various products, pointed out things we hadn't even thought to ask, and addressed all of our questions. During the process, his team handled all of the paperwork for permits and HOA approvals. After the installation was complete, he came back out for the final inspection and walked me through how everything worked. I would highly recommend Andy and his crew. They do excellent work, the shutters are a great product at a competitive price, and Guardian Storm was great to work with.

Andy K., owner of Guardian Storm Protection, came to our house at the appointed time, was patient and answered all of our questions, and took measurments for the accordion hurricane shutters to be installed. He quoted us an excellent price which we could not refuse, and wrote up the contract. (A day prior to his visit, an owner from a different company came to us, quoted us a price, and we rejected his offer which was much higher than GSP and we did not like the design that he had for the garden window and vestibule.) A permit for the shutters installation was sent to the Town of Jupiter and a detailed plan was sent to the Director of our HOA by GSP. Shelly, an assistant at GSP, was efficient, courteous, and prompt in answering the HOA Director's questions resulting in the approval of the installation of the shutters by the HOA Directors. The workers from GSP were prompt, courteous, and did an excellent job in installing the shutters in 5 hours in one day. We were instructed in how to open and close the shutters. The Town of Jupiter inspected the completed job and gave its approval. Andy K. came to inspect the work of his workers, showed us how to use the shutters and take care of them, and was paid the full amount agreed upon. (No deposit was requested at the beginning of the job.) We are very impressed and pleased with the skills and expertise demonstrated by Andy K. and his workers and in the quality, appearance, and operation of the shutters. The design and installation of the accordion shutters over the garden window (bird cage) and vestibule in which the shutters were installed in a recess was especially done well. We would highly recommend Guardian Storm Protection without any hesitation or reservation.

One hears lots of negative stories when it comes to storm shutters. But from purchase to installation this experience was seamless. Guardian is a top notch company selling and installing a first rate product that I would confidently recommend to anyone. As a matter of fact, I already have. Thanks Andy for the great job!

They came when they said they would. They returned my call which I appreciate. The men worked continuously from 11Am to 5 PM. They are not the cheapest but..their shutters are superior, fold up to the smallest bunch. They cleaned up every paper and cleaned up all the debri and hauled away all the old stuff. They wiped down all the shutters. I have not paid them a cent as of yet. Nothing due until the job is approved and completed. Wow! They were a good find for me. I recommend them very highly!

He gave us an estimate in Dec. 2012. We immediately agreed. He returned in late Jan. and finished the job in two days. His employee was very neat and removed all debris (old shutters) . The boss came back within two days to review the work and show us how to use the shutters and was payed the full amount . No deposit was requested. We had problems closing one shutter and have asked to him return and make sure there are no problems . We are still waiting .

They were fantastic and I had interviewed about 8 other companies before I saw an article about them on the tv. Every aspect of the job was wonderful. Its very hard to find a reputable shudder company in south Florida. I would not of bought shudders if I had not foudn them.

We got the name of Guardian Storm Protection from Angie's List magazine and called for an estimate. We asked if they could provide the estimate on a weekend or evening. The owner, Andy Kobosko was nice enough to come on the weekend and give us the estimate as well as a demonstration of the product. We were able to see the actual material used, as well as pictures of work performd in other homes. Andy Kobosko was very patient and answered all our questions. Our neighbor was also interested and agreed to an installation too. When we signed the contract we were given an accurate time line of when the accordions could be install. Guardian Storm Protection took care of dealing with the association paperwork and city permits. They called when the accordions were ready and all the work was done in a day. We are please with the timeliness of the work and the service provided.

This was a new experience for me since I didn't need hurricane shutters in N.Y. I checked with Angie's List and found Guardian. I called and was quickly given a lot of information about shutters. I wanted to know if there was a charge for an estimate and was told that no money was required for an estimate, a deposit for the work. Only after the work is completed and the inspector ok's the work do you have to pay. Andy came to the house and explained the work involved and measured all the windows. The office called when the windows were in and set up a date to do the work. It took a full day. The men were great. They were neat and respectful. It was very noisy but you did not have to stay at home all day. I was very happy with the work. In fact, my neighbor also asked Andy to look at his window and hired him too.

It was a fantastic experience. They did a very good job. The gentleman Andy, was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Their installer, Brian, was also fantastic.

Guardian took care of obtaining all permits from the county for the job. Shutter installation performed and completed without any problems passing county inspection with flying colors. Overall a positive experience with this company. I would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

This went perfectly. Andy is a super awesome person! He came out for the estimate and was very nice and professional. I got about 5 estimates for hurricane shutters and Andy was by far the most reasonable. Plus - I didn't have to pay until it passed inspection by my town. (Shelly - who works in the office is also great). No one can really compete with Guardian - Andy is the best at what he does and really has the most competitive prices. They definitely live up to their "ALL A" reputation on Angie's List. The shutters came out great. The doors were also installed and look great. Andy came back today to meet the inspector and everything passed. He also installed a peep hole in my front door! I am so glad I went with Guardian - I couldn't be happier!

When we bought our house a year ago, we did not even have the most minimum idea of how expensive hurricane shutters could actually be. Having so many windows and openings in a two story house (around 26 windows) made us a little scared at first when we were getting ready to start the process of shopping for the best deal. I called around 7 to 8 companies, all of which were from Angie's List, we picked the ones with the best reviews and made appointments to get the estimates. After having estimates anywhere from $12 000 to $15 000 and a little bit of disappointment and frustration, we decided we were not going to do the shutters now and we were going to wait till the end of this coming year to save some money to do it then. At this point we had just one more company that was suppose to come for an estimate, The Guardian Storm Protection, and besides we had taken the decision of not doing the shutters for now, we still wanted to be polite and did not cancel the appointment. I remember Andy showed up on time, with a big smile in his face and very confident about his product. He was the first person that did not have to come inside the house to do his measurements of the openings, he did everything from outside, (not that it would've been a big deal to do so if he decided to) After this, he explained in detail the quality of his products and the differences between all the materials out there, including all the do's and don'ts according to his experience. He was very professional, pleasant to talk to, down to earth, and friendly to say the least. We were signing a contract 5 minutes after he gave me his estimate. We changed our mind right on the spot and did not hesitate for a single moment. Andy took care of all the permits with the home association and the city of Pembroke Pines. The job was finalized this week and we are thrilled about the results. Everything that Andy promised was delivered on time and with the expected quality. We are more than happy with this company and we will definitely recommend them to all our friends and Family.

We called Guardian to get a quote and they were here the next day and provided us a quote which we felt was fair. We were working on repaving our driveway and Guardian had to coordinate with the other contractor to ensure the installation of the storm shutters was done properly. They were very flexible and accomodating and had to wait about a month to complete the job even though we had not paid a penny to them.. I highly recommend them.

Knowing that I needed to upgrade my hurricane shutters to conform with the newer codes, and not knowing about any reliable companies, I conducted my search via Angie's List. Guardian Storm Protection stood out from the rest with over 55 customer ratings. Every single rating and critique highly praised Guardian Storm Protection and its owner, Andy Kobosko. ALL of the ratings were straight A's in every category, and the critiques repeatedly mentioned the high quality of the products and work performed, reliability of the staff, and of the professionalism and dedication of Andy. And so, armed with said knowledge, I decided to contact Guardian to further explore the company. With the first contact I knew that there was merit to the reviews of the previous customers. The phone was answered promptly, and the secretary (I forget her name) was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. After explaining what I wanted we made an appointment for Andy to come to my house the following week and provide a survey and estimate of the cost. On the day of the appointment Andy was right on time. He explained everything about his products and provided a well-documented brochure further detailing them. He exhibited his license, completed his survey, and gave the price for the job in total (including the required permits and giving me the Angie's List discount without my even asking for it). I was very satisfied with everything--the price was very reasonable--and I felt very comfortable that I was dealing with a very reputable company. Just like in the old days, a handshake sealed the deal. Of course the necessary contract was filled out and Andy provided a ballpark time when the job would be done, pending the approval of the permits. The permits were approved and the job was completed right on the money of Andy's estimate. At the risk of being redundant with the other customers, but I don't know how else to rate my experience with the company and personnel, EVERYTHING was accomplished in a timely, professional, and outstanding manner. Not one glitch occurred, and Andy followed up to be certain that I was satisfied. Please add me to the long list of customers of Guardian Storm Protection who rate the company and personnel with straight A's.

Had several estimates. Guardian was not the cheapest, but the professionalism and general overall competence was decidedly the best. Also the fact that they refused to take a deposit up front and told me I would pay nothing until the installation was complete and had passed inspection gave me all the confidence in the world.

The experience was wonderful. They made the process so easy. I filled out the permit paperwork and they did the rest. No payment was required until city permit was finallized. Use this company and you will not be disappointed.

They never took a deposit, which was very unique. They were excellent in their installation. They were wonderful.

It went fine, and I am an engineer that has built houses, so I can recognize poor workmanship when I see it. They did a good job.

UNBELIEVABLY GREAT. We've lived in South Florida for 17 years and always had a HARD time finding good contractors who would show up when they said they would or complete the job for the estimated price. Until we met Andy of Guardian Storm Protection. He is the owner and he came and gave us the estimate. He went over everything and showed us area that we should improve. I got estimates from 4 companies from Angie's List and he was by far the BEST PRICED. He didn't need money up front to start the job. He didn't WANT to be pay until the job was complete and we were happy. How refreshing it is to work with someone who understands customer service. His men showed up when they said and completed the work as stated on the estimate. They cleaned up after the job was done and I couldn't even tell that they were there. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME LOOKING FOR A SHUTTER COMPANY. TRUST ME THIS COMPANY IS THE BEST. I would call them again in a heart beat. I wish other companies treated they customers like Guardian Storm Protection(Andy) did. They would have ALOT of business. I believe in word of mouth advertising so other people know who to use and who not to use.

It went fantastic! They installed the shutters the exact time he promised me he would install them. The guys who came and did the installation were very prompt and professional and all went smoothly. I did not have to pay a penny until all the work was done and approved by Palm Beach County, which happened the following week. Andy came by and showed me how to work the shutters ( a child could do it!) I think they were great and would highly recommend this company. I feel very happy that I did the work with them.

They were great! Very fair price. Came when they said they would. Installed the shutters within a few hours. Had the inspector come when the job was finished and everything was fine. Did not pay any money until the inspection was approved. A wonderful business man with great employees.

I can tell you without any reservations, if you want to have shutters or windows installed, call Andy at Guardian and don?t waste your time with anyone else. To begin, Guardian does not take a penny until the project passes inspection. This extraordinary business practice says a great deal about Andy and the confidence that he has in the quality of his company?s work. Although Guardian?s payment policies are remarkable, let?s face it, cost is still very important. Before receiving an estimate from Guardian, we received eight other estimates. We were very happy with one estimate that we received from a Miami-based company (which had mixed reviews). After the owner of another highly-rated West Palm beach company advised us to go with that Miami-based company (which he though was reputable) because no one could come close to their price, we had decided to take our chances and hire that company. In fact, when Andy came to our house, I apologized that my wife forgot to cancel our appointment with him, and that he would be wasting his time. However, since Andy was already at my house, I let him prepare an estimate. As it turned out, Guardian beat the estimate of the other company! Better yet, Guardian?s estimate quoted top of the line products - PGT windows and Town and Country shutters ? which the other company did not offer. It was an easy choice for us to hire Guardian ? the least expensive company offering the best products ? and also one of the only shutter and window companies on Angie?s List with all A reviews! Guardian removed windows without making a mess or damaging any curtains or furniture. My wife was very happy that they cleaned up at the end of each day (including sweeping, vacuuming and mopping sections of our floors that got dusty from the window installation work). They were on time and competed the job within the time frame that they promised. In addition, Guardian painted and repaired the stucco when they installed the new windows. In the end, when the Coral Springs inspector came to perform the inspection, he noted the amount of work that had been performed, said that he was going to be there for a very long time and confidently put a blank violation notice on the entry table. However, once he began to inspect the work that was performed he commented that was excellent work and there was not a single violation. I cannot begin to tell you how pleased we are with Andy and Guardian. They do amazing work and are very competitively priced. My only regret is wasting my time with other estimates, but without that, we would not know how lucky we are to have found Guardian. It is analogous to paying for a Toyota and driving home with a Mercedes.
