I have lived in this area for 23 years and have had one large home built and many renovated. I would have to say that Guardian has been the smoothest and most efficient project I have ever experienced. This is truly a professional operation with timeliness, politeness, attention to detail, quality and efficiency. They clearly have honed this company into a stellar operation making it as easy on the customer, hassle free with a top quality product and good value. Results where flawless. No shabby work here and no cutting corners. In fact, went beyond expectations by adding a grooved channel track for the front entry making it low-profile, concealed and unobstructed. They are clearly experienced, experts in this industry and know what works. Others could take lessons from this company.

Excellent work. The owner explained my options and gave me a quote, the work was done promptly and professionally, and the quality of the work appears to be high (although we haven't had a hurricane since the shutters were installed). After the work was done, I noticed that it was slightly different than we had discussed, and Guardian came back and fixed the problem (which was required for approval by my HOA). A very positive experience overall.

Andy answered call my questions at the time of the quote and then came back at my request to go over further recommendations for me. The pricing was very reasonable. Everything went like clockwork. The new install involved putting in a new track of shutters to enclose the entire open back porch area, which gave us much more space and did away with the need for indifidual installs on each of the windows and sliding glass doors which face the porch. This saved us money and is much more functional. I was very impressed with Andy Kobosko, the owner, who took care of all details, was very approachable, professional and prompt. The work was very professional, and I am very satisfied. Highest marks!

Workers showed up on time, as schedule, explained everything they were doing, made sure we understood how to operate the shutters and picked up every scrap of debris before they left. No payment asked until the shutters passed inspection - which they did. When we first asked this company out to give us a bid we were especially impressed with a 'no hard sell' attitude. All our questions were answered. We were interested in the shutters meeting Miami-Dade standards - which they do. We couldn't be happier with the shutters. Professional family business with high pride of craftsmanship. Installed total house coverage of doors and windows with top quality accordion shutters. Difficult job to manage due to much rainy weather. Tough conditions on the crew, but they performed like troopers. Andy the owner is the real deal. I highly recoomend them.

Andy came to our house and showed us a sample of his product. He then measured all windows and left an estimate for job. We had 3 other estimates and chose Guardian. The installers showed up early and finished the installation in one day. They cleaned the area completely and showed us how to use them. The office, Shelly, kept us informed of everything. The most amazing factor, is that we did not have to put any money down and paid only after we were satisfied with the work. The installers are not sub contractors and we were very satisfied with the product.

I had several companies come and give me an estimate. He was the most knowledgable and explained everything to me. They don't require a deposit which means they stand behind their product and service. Everyone from the owner to the installers were very professional, punctual and efficient. Very pleasant to deal with and their price was very competitive.

The installation team showed up on time. There were enough people on site to get the work done in a very quick and efficient manner. The removal and installation went very smoothly. After the installation, the crew chief and I inspected every window and I was completely satisfied with the work. He showed me how to operate the shutters before leaving. I hIghly recommend this company.

Guardian Storm Protection owner, Andy Kobosko, personally came to our home and provided us a reasonable price quote for roll-down shutters on 9 windows in our home. His excellent rating on Angie?s List was matched only by his verbal agreement and handshake on the deal; no money down! His workers took only hours to install the shutters which passed county inspection the next working day with flying colors. The county inspector was familiar with Guardian?s work and pointed out to me the improvements Mr. Kobosko insists upon from the shutter manufacturers (i.e., durable PVC where nylon is generally used). We had multiple contractors out to provide bids for our window protection; from impact glass, to accordion shutters, to roll-down shutters. We couldn?t be happier with having selected Guardian Storm Protection for this job.

Met with Andy to determine type of shutters, cost and installation timing. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and fair. Installation was on time and smooth. They removed old shutters, disposed of them and installed new ones. What a difference! When we noticed a gap between the shutter housing and building three months later, we called Andy. Within hours he had someone there to fix it. Again, all smooth, professional and easy. Have and will continue to refer Andy and the team at Guardian Storm Protection to friends. The service and installation went great. He was by far one of the best contractors I have dealt with. I am a licensed contractor myself so I really appreciated the hardwork and excellent quality I received. I would highly recommend to anyone.

It went very well. Andy, the owner came to the house to make his pitch. He was willing to negotiate a price, pulled the permit, then his office and I scheduled the install date. The work crew got here on time, worked quickly and very well together. They also did a nice job cleaning up after themselves. I am waiting for the inspector to approve the job and after he does we will pay for the job. I think it's great that Andy doesn't take a dime from you until the job is done and inspected. It's a very honest and trustworthy way to conduct business. His crew is also very good. all but one have been working for the company for 8 years so they know what they are doing.

What a great company to deal with! The owner Andy was wonderful and Shelley in the office was so helpful anytime I called her. I found his company along with two others from Angie's List and received three quotes. Although Andy was not the cheapest, he offered he best quality shutter (you get what you pay for). More importantly, he does not require any deposit or payment until you pass inspection! No other company offered that! Although we placed our order at the beginning of May, he warned us that the earliest we could have it done was end of July/early August. Since we had the older shutters on the house, I was not concerned about going into hurricane season without protection, so I was willing to wait. Then came the horrible rains early this year and I thought for sure we would be delayed. Much to my surprise and pleasure, not only were we on schedule but actually was completed earlier than expected! Andy's crew arrived on the arranged date and in one day, had the old bahama shutters removed and the new shutters installed. Unfortunately, it did not pass inspection the first time, but that was only due to some paperwork errors ( I think on the part of the inspector, not sure) and easily passed on the second inspection. Our contract included that they patch the holes that were created by removing the old shutters and it was not done to my satisfaction the first time, however Andy came back himself and did a beautiful job with patching the holes. We couldn't be happier with their service and quality product and highly recommend them!

They were expensive. They came out right away, but they were more than what I was looking for.

It went very well. The estimator came within a day or two of my calling and did a most thorough job of measuring and estimating. A date was set for installation. The company took care of obtaining permits from the county and provided me with the information I needed for my Homeowners Association permission. I was not present for the installation (I had returned to my northern residence) but my representative informed me that the work was done on schedule and to specifications outlined in the estimate. When I received clearance from my Homeowners Assoc. I paid the full amount by check(I was not required by the company to pay anything in advance) . When I returned to Florida I was very pleased with how the work was done.

I am very happy with the service Andy provided. He truly understands what it means to deliver customer service. The install went smooth and his staff was very courteous. The process went just as Andy promised. He was present for the city inspection which passed with no problems. Even more impressive is Andy does not expect any payments at all until the city passes the inspection. That show me the company is confident in the quality of product and service they provide. Guardian Storm Protection - and Andy Kobosko in particular - are a rare breed of South Florida contractor. They did precisely what they said they would, precisely WHEN they said they would, precisely HOW they said they would, for exactly how much they said they would. Nothing changed from the estimate to the completion. They worked around our schedule to make everything happen before we went away for our vacation, and they did everything in one day. I cannot imagine what else we could ask for from them, and I will definitely be recommending them to everybody who asks. We went through and checked all the shutters, and everything was just exactly so. Thanks Andy!! We appreciate it all so much.

I needed a quote for some hurricane screens of my house. I sent an email and the next day I received a message on my answering machine that they won't be installing any screens within the next 4 months. So I'll have to continue my search for an installer.

Excellent! Everything we read on Angie's list is true. Andy was the most knowledgeable of all contractors we interviewed. And Guardian was the only installer that offered to insert the accordion track outside our patio door (leading to the patio), rather than having a bulky track placed on top of our pavers.

I contacted Andy Kobosko in January 2013, due to all the positive reviews on Angies List. I signed a contract in March, 2013. The positive reviews were correct. Guardian Storm Protection is the best. I called and spoke to Shelly and Andy called me back. We arranged an appointment and Andy came to the house and discussed the project. Andy is a professional, and he fully expailned his product and worked with me on what I need to get done. I had a particular issue with an enclosed sunroom that instead of covering three sets of french doors leading into the house, Andy was able to give me floor to ceiling coverage on three sides, therefore, allowing the room to be enclosed and protected in case of a storm and saving me from moving any furniture into the house. Andy suggested recessed tracks on the front entrance and in the sunroom. Prior to the installation, he arranged for a stone cutting company to come by and perform the cutting work, which they did on time and did an excellent job. On that day Andy also showed up to my house to ensure that the stone cutters had the exact measurements and knew where to do the cuts. I also coordinated with Shelly from his office, who was very cordial and guided me through signing all of the paperwork for the city (Cooper City). Guardian pulled all of the permits and Shelly even came to my house to pick up some paperwork that I had left a signature off of. The day of the installation Shelly contacted me with updates on the ETA of Andy's installation crew. The guys were great and the work was performed timely and accurately and they cleaned up everthing after they finished. The recessed tracks came out perfect preventing any type of tripping hazard. They showed me how the shutter worked and provided me with plenty of keys for the shutter locks. The acordians look superb. I had accordians on another house and Guardian's product is far superior presenting a very low profile when folded up. As part of the project, Andy even installed clear composite panels on an second story mostly inacessible glass block bathroom window, at NO CHARGE to me. Andy arrived on the day of the City Inspection, and in my conversation with the City inspector, the inspector was extremely complimentary of the installation work that was done, saying it was one of the best he had ever seen. The inspection passed without a hitch. Guardian requires no payment of any type until the job is done and the inspection is approved. My communication with this company was excellent. I had Andy's personal cell number and I communicated with Shelly on a number of occasions without any issue. My experience with Guardian Storm Protection was Outstanding from start to finish. Andy takes pride in his work, his product, and is extremely professional and detail oriented. He truly wants to make the customer happy. Hire this company if you want the best in hurricane protection.

Andy (the owner) came out and gave an estimate on installing hurricane shutters on 4 windows for my condo. He was very friendly and was patient explaining how and when it would be done. The cost was a bit more than I expected, but that was explained and justified by the time of year for the project. Spring is the busiest and most expensive time of year for this type of project, so I would recommend having it done in the fall/winter. Although the project was scheduled for mid May, I happily received a call in April that installation would be done a few weeks early. The work crew showed up within the alloted time I was given, and installation was very quick with 2 workers (approximately 1 1 /2 hours). Payment was not expected until after the inspector came by to approve the work. Overall, I am very happy with the work and would definitely use the company again.45

I emailed contractor, no response ... left voice message on 03/18 requesting contact for quote for total home accordion shutters. My message did say I work in an environment (8am - 5pm) where cell phone must be turned off, but could leave a message. No response to either email or voice message, after a week. SHOCKING as this is the Hurricane Shutter contractor with the highest number of reviews - as professional courtesty if not interested a return call or email. I went with another service from WPB, and very satisfied with their customer service, personal sales call, and followup. Sometimes being #1, isn't always the best.

Andy, the owner came out the next day after our call for an estimate on accordion shutters to the pool area. After getting other quotes, we decided to go with Guardian because of the knowledge and the options given to us. Andy also showed us some pictures of their work, which was very impressive especially of the recessed track that was our best option. Guardian contacted us and gave us a date of when the install would be and they were on time and completed the job the same day. They also explained thoroughly how the shutters and panels worked. The quality of the shutters are outstanding. The also left us additional parts to the panels. They also agreed to paint the recessed track the same color of the shutter. I would definitely use Guardian for any additional work to the shutters and would also recommend them to our friends. I was also happy to see them in the Angie's List magazine as one of their featured stories. Guardian gets an A+ from me as well.
