Folding Shutter Corp

Based on a neighbor's recommendation we contacted Folding Shutters Corp. and ended up having them install shutters on all 8 of our unit openings. A sales representative comes to your home. (They do have a showroom in West Palm Beach you can visit if you want to). They handled getting the necessary county permit and submitting the alteration application to our condo association (the Association approval is what took the longest time in the entire process). Once everything was approved an installation date was set and everything went smoothly. Installation was completed in less than a week. On the first day of installation, we were given our county permit package. The installer, Alfredo, was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and answered any questions we had during the installation procedure. Everyone we dealt with on the phone was also professional and courteous. After completion, a company rep set up an appointment with the county for a final inspection the next day. We passed that, as well as the “close out inspection” by the condo association representative. All in all, we are very satisfied (A+ to Folding Shutters Corp. & their employees). We obviously have not had to use them yet, and hope we never do, but feel more secure now that we have them.

The consultant was professional and showed up on time but they wanted double the money than our cheapest bid, the reasoning was for the company's special proprietary locks.

It appeared that they did a good job on the installation, until it failed the inspection by the City of Stuart. I notified them of this, and a week later, they sent out someone to "take measurements". That was two weeks ago, and I have not heard from them. I am very disappointed in this company.

They did a professional job installing all of the equipment. They made sure everything was working properly. When I has a sticking problem on the shutter roll downs 18 months later, they came out and greased it for no charge

Joe was my first contact and he was the one who walked me through options and spent a lot of time with me to ensure I got what I wanted. Joe was personable and even though I wanted to put all new doors on my patio, he suggested a slightly more cost efficient manner to get the protection I was looking for. I have a weird atrium set up that required some extra phone calls, pictures and communication with engineers, but Joe handled it and made sure I was doing the right thing. Adrian was the engineer who did all the measuring to ensure proper sizes were ordered. I have many arced windows so this was no easy task I'm sure. Sue runs the show in my opinion with scheduling and such. She always called to let me know what was going on and when to expect people to show up. Couldn't be happier with her customer service. Mike and Henry did the install which took several weeks. They were polite, personable and all around good guys. They had the option of calling in another team to help speed the install, but I was grateful that they didn't and feel much better knowing the two of them did all the work. My dogs looked forward to their arrival each day. They did great work and were patient with my nosy father in law. For such an expensive project I feel very lucky to have given them my business. All around great company for hurricane shutters, windows and doors.

Everyone from the salesman, installers and office help were informative, professional and helpful. We placed our order on Dec 10, 2013. The installation for both the shutters and door was scheduled for Feb 10, 2014. The shutters were installed on schedule, however there was an issue with the sliding glass door as it was not the correct size and had to be reordered. The new door was then installed on March 12. The inspector came on March 14 but could not do the inspection as the installers were to have left a ladder and photos. The inspection had to be rescheduled until the ladder and photos were delivered which Folding Shutter Corp took care of right away. The inspector came again on March 19 and noted that a shutter screw was missing. Folding Shutter came the next day to add the screw. Final inspection took place on March 27, 2014. Overall we are very pleased with the final outcome. Folding Shutter Corp were always very responsive, returned our phone calls and took immediate action on the issues. We would highly recommend Folding Shutter Corp.

We spoke with four different companies who came and gave us estimates for replacing our hurricane panels with the much easier and faster folding shutter system. Three of the companies are local and Folding Shutter Corp. is located in West Palm Beach. We went with Folding Shutter Corporation even though their quote was the highest. We felt the components that make up their system were a better quality and they were the only company that brought a scaled-down demo showing how the system operates. After we signed a contract with the sales rep another rep came and did all the measuring. Once the shutters were manufactured two installers installed them (they had to first remove all the components for the existing hurricane panels from each window and door opening) in three days. Even though we don't look forward to having to use them, knowing we can have our house closed up and protected in 30 minutes has given us great peace of mind! We would not hesitate to refer Folding Shutter Corporation.

I've used them before as well. They do excellent work. I've been very satisfied so that's why I had them out again.

The sales person, William Kramer, came out on a Saturday to meet my availability. After seeking other quotes we decided to go with this firm as they offered a small discount for doing the work in their slower period and they had a long business history. BBB rating was good and sales person did not hound us for an answer. We called to place the order and requested that the work be completed by a certain date (within 27 days) which other vendors stated they could not do. Normal delivery is 4-6 weeks. Folding Shutter Corp stated that they built their own bahama shutters and other vendors ordered them from a manufacturer. The case was assigned to a service coordinator, Pam Evans. Another person came out to re-measure prior to construction. They met the deadline, and passed the permit inspection 6 days before our deadline. They cleaned up after themselves. We did need to follow up by telephone, but was quickly directed to the responsible party and our needs were met. They offered a five year warranty on parts and labor and used a city permit.

The job went smooth from start to finish. Trace the account executive was on time, very professional and informative. Eve in customer service was friendly and efficient in scheduling the install and with any questions I had. The installers Lewis and Mike were great. They were on time, very neat and did a professional job.

They came out to give us an estimate but never got back to us. We asked to have the estimate emailed to us. We really liked them when they came out. I was disappointed that we had to track them down for the estimate. In the meantime we got an estimate from another company that was less than half the price. We may have paid more for a quality job if they been more responsive.

We purchased a condominium with hurricane shutters that had been installed by this company. The shutters broke shortly after we purchased the condo. While the employee was punctual for the appointment, he said he had no interest in repairing our shutters and walked out of the condo.

Went Satisfactorily. Day of installation, workman didn't call when they were late for appointed window of time.

They did a professional job.
