Description of Work: Fencecrafters came out in a very timely manner to provide a quote but I never received it. It was clear during the quote that they did not want to do my fence. I wanted a wood fence to be installed on top of a low wall. Was actually told that my idea to use lattice for a portion of the fence was "stupid" and "wouldn't look good". Not how I handle my own customers, but that's another story. I think this is a great company if you don't need custom work done. My friend's fence is quite beautiful and she was very happy with the company. I ended up using a carpenter and am very happy with the result.

Description of Work: I am in the process of getting a permit to have the fence installed. To this point, Fence Crafters has been extremely helpful moving forward with the permitting and as far as pricing goes, they have bid very competitively. I will follow up when the work is completed.

Description of Work: I contacted Fence Crafters through Angies List on 4/18 requesting an appointment for an estimate. They finally got around to calling me at 9PM THIS EVENING ( May 6th). When I told him that I already had three estimates and that I called him almost 3 weeks ago his only response was WOW! What kind of company calls you a 9 o'clock at night?????? I would never hire this company…they cannot even respond to a request for a quote in a timely manner.

Description of Work: I called fence crafters today and explained to them that we had a homeowners assoc. that had 20 homes that needed to have some fence and gate repairs, I tried to tell the person who answered the phone that this was not a small job but he still said it was not worth the job or the hassles that would come with such a job. He said that if we are having gate, hinge, latch problems that we probably needed new fencing (I tried to tell him that these fences were not that old) but he just wanted to stop me from talking and basically said "we don't want the business. I could see that if I was asking to just fix one fence or gate, but I make it clear this was for a Homeowners Assoc. and it was to repair 20 or so gates and fence issues.

+ -1 moreFencecrafters was recommended to me by my pool builders as their preferred fence guys. Mike came out himself and did the estimate the same day that I called him. He listened to my queries about matching my neighbors fence and such. He gave me several options in the quote along with his recommendation. I got two other quotes. One company didn't want to both coming to the house and just used Mike's measurements to give me an estimate. The other guy (who had installed my neighbor's fence a few years earliers) eventually did an estimate after missing several appointments and such. I think one of the other quotes was a about $200 cheaper, but I felt like Mike's price was fair and his responsiveness was far superior. When it came time to install the fence (once the pool was at the right stage), Mike put us on the calendar for the following week. It was done in one day because his crew stayed late to finish it. Price was as quoted. I am a fan!
