FATHER & SON MOVING

The day of the move Father and Son gave me the agreement for me to sign which stated an approximate moving cost of around $500.- After the movers loaded the truck and arrived to the new location the driver (the boss) gave me a bill for $1249. After arguing on the price he said they would not download my furniture unless I paid the requested amount in cash. He would not take checks. After paying they downloaded the furniture on to my home in which I had brand new wooden floors installed. Once the furniture was close to their new permanent place the movers dragged each piece and badly scratched my wood floors. The "boss" bluntly told me it was my fault because I had "defective furniture".

The estimate they provided was right in line with everyone else, not particulary low or high, but the service they offered was much more extensive than anyone else. They were always extremely responsive, professional, pleasant and returned phone calls very quickly, even within minutes! The job included packing and wrapping for a very reasonable fee, as well as moving blankets at no extra charge, whereas other movers charged for that. The only reason why we didn't finish the job them is because the deal we were moving for ended up falling through, but we were able to get our deposit back very quickly and without any hassle. If I could rate them higher than an "A" I would.

They were terrible. They showed up late. They said it would take about 3 hours and it took about 9. They doubled the price. They didn't break anything but they weren't cordial and they weren't good. They were nasty. The quality of work was all right. I would absolutely not use them again.
