When the second workman came he had the wring size window. he re- measured and called in the mew measurements.
When the third workman came he has the correct window measurements but the wrong glass. Instead of tinted he had non tinted glass. he called in the correct glass but meanwhile he took ot my old windows and I could not use the windows for 10 days.
On the final install we had the correct glass they also needed to order new beading. The workman put in the new glass and was gluing the old colonial; plates back on the window. I had instructed them not to do this. He then had to take off the adhesives and put in the new glass for the windows and the put t the windows back. He was knocking the windows to get them in He finally succeeded but then broke the spring so NOW I cannot use the left window since it opens and then closes like a guillotine.I would not recommended them .
when the final workman left the estimate went up $200. YES that's right from an estimate of $292.20 to $493
"Member had us come out for an estimate to repair her (1) broken window on 12/11/12. After reviewing her estimate she called our office and stated that she wanted us to come out yet again and write a new estimate for an additional piece of window glass. We explained that we did not need to come out to re-write it, we could just add the addt'l glass to the estimate - however she insisted. We came out again to her home on 12/31/12 and re-wrote the estimate for a second piece of glass. She then called us on 1/3/13 and said she did not want the handles or lock that she had wanted before and she also wanted to negotiate the price of her repair. We removed the price of the lock and two custom handles and then provided her with a 20% discount. The two handles and one lock cost $125 (which we removed since she did not want them) and brought her balance to $366.50 and then a discount of 20% brought her down to $293.20. When we arrived to do her repair we began to take the glass out her white window beading completely fell apart, as the window was in very poor condition. We explained that we would need to locate matching beading for her window, as there are hundreds of different window manufactures and styles of beading. We finally located the correct match and contacted her to complete the job on 1/10/13. The job was completed on 1/18/13 with the additional beading and glass and Member REFUSED to pay for her beading. The technician tried to explain to Member that the additional $20.00 was for the 30ft of custom beading for her two windows and she still refused to pay for it. Member then called yesterday on 1/21/13 and stated that now her window is not staying up. We explained to her 3x that her windows were over 20 years old and that her balances were shot. She asked for an estimate to now have them repaired - we gave her a price over the phone for the repair and she stated that she wanted to collect estimates from other companies. We explained that that’s fine, but she knew our price for the repair. She then again insisted that we drive out and write her a new quote, we explained AGAIN that it really wasn’t necessary. In the end Member stated " I guess I’m just gonna be that one pain customer that you have this year." I really wasn’t sure where that came from... but it seemed as if she had a lot on her plate. To date Member refuses to pay her outstanding balance on her contract for work we completed."
Response to Provider: I am the person you met with. I bought the most expensive roller you offered which you said was the single wheel stainless steel. I prefer to do things correctly the first time which is why I use Angie's to look for quality companies. I went back and checked my records and you are correct that I paid 436.72 and so I have updated the price. However that was too much money to pay for the wheels to fail after a year and for the damage the installer did with the hammer. If there was a way for me to attach photos I would so that other customers could see the hammer marks left on my doors. I seriously doubt you would have paid to replace my doors and I didn't want to risk more damage to the doors with your "attempt" to fix them. I figured since your company damaged my doors and the wheels were broken I was better off trying someone else.
"First off I would like to start by saying that Member was not the customer that CSD was dealing with... it was actually another Member..(a very sweet woman that I remember very well.) We talked about our children together, as I have twin 4 year old boys and I understood her concern with their pool and their children. In August of 2011 there were on 2 types of rollers available for their particular sliding glass doors... the 32$ standard roller and a Nylon wheeled $45 roller, the stainless steel tandem rollers were not available in this trade until 2012. Member selected the less expensive roller and presented a coupon for 10% of her parts total. The total after her discount came to $436.72 (not $1000.00 as claimed above) and she wrote me a check for $80.00 on the spot. We came out 5 days later to complete the job and I even sent her out a can of Alumiwax at no charge. On September 2nd our employee Stephanie called to see the outcome of the job and Member claimed she was very satisfied with the repair. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction at Complete Sliding Doors. We offer a complete 1 year warranty on sliding door repair, we would've gladly came out to inspect ANY issue. Also our technicians do NOT use hammers, we ONLY use rubber mallets, as hammers will damage the door frames and are not safe around glass. I am sad to see over a year and a half later that we are just now hearing of any issue, never the less - such a unpleasant review. I (Mandee Rega, owner of Complete Sliding Doors) would have been more than happy to discuss ANY issues you had with the repair - I even provided Member with my personal card, with my cellular number and email address on it. I am sorry that you choose to handle this matter without first contacting us, because I can assure you that I would've personally addressed it myself."

*****updated review*****10/2/2013
First of all, they never fixed the lock to the door - my handyman fixed it. Second of all, I have no jacuzzi on my patio and never have had --in fact, I don't even have a patio! So where are the pictures they took of the problem doors - of which there was only one, so "doors" should be in the singular? Trust me when I say no one came back and fixed anything. The "F" rating sticks with me even stronger now that I have viewed their untruthful response.
"Member: Providing great customer service at a reasonable price is our mission and of the up-most importance to us. We have a full office staff with dedicated employees to handle customer service and to make sure every customer is taken care of. In your case, you called our office to sate that the doors we fixed were not locking properly. Following protocol, our office set you up on another appointment I (the owner) was dispatched to your job. I called you several times to confirm but you didn't answer. I drove to your house anyway. When I arrived, I started to walk up to your front door and forgive me for saying this but I became sick from the ammonia smell due to the 17+ cats you have living in your house and under the rotted Jacuzzi on your patio. I could not physically come any further without being sick. I do apologize for that. I truly am sorry that I was not able to come in your house and I had to leave. You have a sign on your front door that states "welcome to our pig pen" so by your own admission you must recognize the problem. Despite the unsafe working conditions of your house we still sent our technicians back in fact we sent two guys there to fix your problem and they did fix your problem. Please do not claim that we are lying because my technicians took pictures of the problem doors for quality control, and the condition of your house is visible in the background. Additionally you are still under warranty should you have any other problems we will honor and stand by our work. However, I think you should remove the F rating you gave us because it is totally unfair."
"This customer has the wrong company as we do not have two large brutes that work for us we also do not give estimates for new windows. Also we do not advertise in a neighborhood flyer."
Once installed, and once the wheels had been cleaned and lubricated, the doors ran perfectly.
Overall an excellent experience.
