The experience was great. The receptionists and Bill are very prompt, courteous, and professional every step of the way. I would not hesitate to call them again or recommend them in the future. I gave them a B for price, because I thought it was a bit expensive, but I had nothing to compare to, so maybe their prices are indeed fair. In the end, you get what you pay for, and they did a superb job. Highly recommend!!
Description of Work: We had work done on two separate days. We had a large slider that was hard to slide, and Bill put new rollers and a new track on it, and lubricated all the tracking. We also needed 5 screens made for windows.

complete sliding doors and windows came out for an estimate. The first workman measured the window incorrect. Instead of 2 separate windows he measured as 1 window. When the second workman came he had the wring size window. he re- measured and called in the mew measurements. When the third workman came he has the correct window measurements but the wrong glass. Instead of tinted he had non tinted glass. he called in the correct glass but meanwhile he took ot my old windows and I could not use the windows for 10 days. On the final install we had the correct glass they also needed to order new beading. The workman put in the new glass and was gluing the old colonial; plates back on the window. I had instructed them not to do this. He then had to take off the adhesives and put in the new glass for the windows and the put t the windows back. He was knocking the windows to get them in He finally succeeded but then broke the spring so NOW I cannot use the left window since it opens and then closes like a guillotine.I would not recommended them . when the final workman left the estimate went up $200. YES that's right from an estimate of $292.20 to $493

Member had us come out for an estimate to repair her (1) broken window on 12/11/12. After reviewing her estimate she called our office and stated that she wanted us to come out yet again and write a new estimate for an additional piece of window glass. We explained that we did not need to come out to re-write it, we could just add the addt'l glass to the estimate - however she insisted. We came out again to her home on 12/31/12 and re-wrote the estimate for a second piece of glass. She then called us on 1/3/13 and said she did not want the handles or lock that she had wanted before and she also wanted to negotiate the price of her repair. We removed the price of the lock and two custom handles and then provided her with a 20% discount. The two handles and one lock cost $125 (which we removed since she did not want them) and brought her balance to $366.50 and then a discount of 20% brought her down to $293.20. When we arrived to do her repair we began to take the glass out her white window beading completely fell apart, as the window was in very poor condition. We explained that we would need to locate matching beading for her window, as there are hundreds of different window manufactures and styles of beading. We finally located the correct match and contacted her to complete the job on 1/10/13. The job was completed on 1/18/13 with the additional beading and glass and Member REFUSED to pay for her beading. The technician tried to explain to Member that the additional $20.00 was for the 30ft of custom beading for her two windows and she still refused to pay for it. Member then called yesterday on 1/21/13 and stated that now her window is not staying up. We explained to her 3x that her windows were over 20 years old and that her balances were shot. She asked for an estimate to now have them repaired - we gave her a price over the phone for the repair and she stated that she wanted to collect estimates from other companies. We explained that that’s fine, but she knew our price for the repair. She then again insisted that we drive out and write her a new quote, we explained AGAIN that it really wasn’t necessary. In the end Member stated " I guess I’m just gonna be that one pain customer that you have this year." I really wasn’t sure where that came from... but it seemed as if she had a lot on her plate. To date Member refuses to pay her outstanding balance on her contract for work we completed.

I thought it was odd that the man working on the door used a regular hammer to put them back together but I assumed he knew what he was doing. After he left I noticed round hammer indentations all around the doors. After a year my double sliding glass door stainless steel wheel was bent from the weight of the door and the door would no longer close. I did not call them to resolve the issue because I didn't trust that they would do a quality repair since the original work was poor. I called another company to come out and they used a much better quality stainless steel wheel. The service man showed me the two wheels and why the other one had failed. He also used a rubber mallet to put my door back together so that it would not leave hammer marks on it. I used FL xtreme Construction the second time and I highly recommend them! Response to Provider: I am the person you met with. I bought the most expensive roller you offered which you said was the single wheel stainless steel. I prefer to do things correctly the first time which is why I use Angie's to look for quality companies. I went back and checked my records and you are correct that I paid 436.72 and so I have updated the price. However that was too much money to pay for the wheels to fail after a year and for the damage the installer did with the hammer. If there was a way for me to attach photos I would so that other customers could see the hammer marks left on my doors. I seriously doubt you would have paid to replace my doors and I didn't want to risk more damage to the doors with your "attempt" to fix them. I figured since your company damaged my doors and the wheels were broken I was better off trying someone else.
Description of Work: Our house is 13 years old and has three sets of sliding doors that were not working properly. We also wanted to install child locks up high to prevent our pre-schoolers from going to the pool. We bought the "best quality" wheels they offered.

First off I would like to start by saying that Member was not the customer that CSD was dealing with... it was actually another Member..(a very sweet woman that I remember very well.) We talked about our children together, as I have twin 4 year old boys and I understood her concern with their pool and their children. In August of 2011 there were on 2 types of rollers available for their particular sliding glass doors... the 32$ standard roller and a Nylon wheeled $45 roller, the stainless steel tandem rollers were not available in this trade until 2012. Member selected the less expensive roller and presented a coupon for 10% of her parts total. The total after her discount came to $436.72 (not $1000.00 as claimed above) and she wrote me a check for $80.00 on the spot. We came out 5 days later to complete the job and I even sent her out a can of Alumiwax at no charge. On September 2nd our employee Stephanie called to see the outcome of the job and Member claimed she was very satisfied with the repair. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction at Complete Sliding Doors. We offer a complete 1 year warranty on sliding door repair, we would've gladly came out to inspect ANY issue. Also our technicians do NOT use hammers, we ONLY use rubber mallets, as hammers will damage the door frames and are not safe around glass. I am sad to see over a year and a half later that we are just now hearing of any issue, never the less - such a unpleasant review. I (Mandee Rega, owner of Complete Sliding Doors) would have been more than happy to discuss ANY issues you had with the repair - I even provided Member with my personal card, with my cellular number and email address on it. I am sorry that you choose to handle this matter without first contacting us, because I can assure you that I would've personally addressed it myself.

They were an exceptional company. I got their name from a coupon that came in the paper. They were trustworthy and they did a great job. Ryan was the one that did the work for us and he was excellent. Brian, the owner, was more than happy to give me the senior discount that appeared on Angie's List. They were not a disappointment and I would highly recommend them.

I had seen an ad for this company in a home/design magazine (stating they had a BBB rating) and decided to make an appt. to have our sliding glass door repaired as it sticks, comes off the track alot, etc. I made the appt with a very pleasant woman for today (8-13-2012) between the hours of 1 and 5p.m. On Friday they called to confirm the app't. and today at abt. 12:00 Brian (theowner) called and asked if he could come over if 15 minutes. He arrived and got right to work. The whole process went very smoothly.
Description of Work: We just had our sliding door fixed today by this company and were very impressed with their service. I actually just joined Angies List and at the time I joined I already had made an app't. with this company (I had seen an ad they had in a home services magazine). I was happy to see them on Angies List today so I could review them. First off, they call in advance to confirm the app't., call when on their way and actually show up earlier than the estimated time of arrival.Brian, the owner came and assessed the damage, showed me and my husband what was wrong. (We had a bad repair job by an unlicensed handyman years ago). He gave us options as to what kind of rollers we could use and showed us what was causing the problem with the track. He promptly repaired the track, replaced the rollers and had to do alot of "correcting" to the door itself based on the bad repair job we had in the past.He was very professional, pleasant and efficient. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience from the first step of making the appointment to the completion of the work.I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this company!

Complete Sliding Doors and Windows did an excellent job of tuning up our old sliding glass doors and making them work like new. We were originally going to replace them completely, which would have cost well over $10,000 but after getting a few estimates we were told that they were still in pretty good condition and just needed to be cleaned and "tuned up". We were also concerned with the amount of air and debris and bugs getting in through the large openings around the tracks on the floor and they recommended a great new product called Eco Homeguard which was actually invented by one of their in-house employees. My husband works in the building products industry and had never seen or heard of it before, but it was exactly what we were looking for to seal the area around the bottom of the sliding glass doors. It is also unique to their company as they are currently the only manufacturers of this product. We also used the Angie's List discount to buy 4 screen doors at "Buy one get one 1/2 off". The doors are now working beautifully. The workers arrived on time and worked efficiently to get the job done. I had to call them back to adjust the lock on one of the doors , but he came back within the hour to correct the problem. I would highly recommend this company and especially this wonderful new Eco Homeguard product.
Description of Work: We had the rollers replaced on 6 sliding glass doors as well as Eco Homeguards installed on 5 of them. The tracks were all cleaned and the doors were tuned up to slide normally and we also purchased and installed 4 screen doors as well.

Description of Work: We got 3 quotes from 3 different companies. One low, one ridiculously high and Complete Sliding Door came in only slightly higher than the the low bidder. However, the quote was fully detailed and very specific whereas the other two were a nebulous paragraph or two. Viking showed up on time, repaired 8 sliding doors, installed new screens, and J locks, etcetera, and did a great job.

I was first referred to Complete through a friend and I had been meaning to call them to fix my door. However, my son broke one of my windows with a baseball this morning, just in time for my Fourth of July party. I called Complete this morning with my problem and they were able to squeeze me in the sch for today. They were able to fix my window and door on the spot. My door has never opened easier, its amazing. This is a real company with a full office staff that confirms appointments and sends clean well mannered workers.

Included in the above report *****updated review*****10/2/2013 First of all, they never fixed the lock to the door - my handyman fixed it. Second of all, I have no jacuzzi on my patio and never have had --in fact, I don't even have a patio! So where are the pictures they took of the problem doors - of which there was only one, so "doors" should be in the singular? Trust me when I say no one came back and fixed anything. The "F" rating sticks with me even stronger now that I have viewed their untruthful response.
Description of Work: On Jan 24, 2012, 3 weeks after initial measurements and estimates, Mike came out to install new rollers on sliding glass doors and install 5 new window frames and screens. When I called the business on or about Jan 17 to find out what was happening with everything I was informed that it takes awhile because they had to make the window frames. When Mike arrived, he had no paperwork and asked if I had mine. He also said that they were building the frames at that time. They were not done at the place of business as I was told. The work was done and a new lock was installed on the sliding door. The door slides beautifully but the lock did not work. For about a week I was just sliding the door and engaging the lock (or so I thought). Quite by accident I realized the door was not catching or locking and was unlocked the whole time. This would not be a major problem except that this is my back door which makes entering possible to the public. When I called to have someone come out to fix the problem (which to me is major as it is an "opening" to my house) I was told that they would not be able to get back out to my area for about 12 days(Feb. 9). This was not acceptable to me (I am a senior citizen living alone) so I called Mandy, the owner. The best she could do was to send someone out onFeb 3 between 9 and 1 which I had no recourse but to accept. I was on a long-distance phone call to my brother when they called. I ended the call as quickly as possible to take the message I assumed they would leave. No message so I figured -no problem and went about my business. I called about 1:30 to find out where they were and was told they would have to reschedule for Feb 9 as no one was home when they called. Needless to say I was not happy and talked to Mandy, the owner. I was told that it is very expensive with the trucks and gas and they can't be running wasteful trips. I would have to wait till Feb 9. I tried to explain my dilemma with no lock on my back door but to no avail. She asked me who came out to do the work and she would get back to me. In the meantime Ryan called and had the audacity to tell me he was here and quoted a sign I had on my door (to make me think he must have been here). I have dogs that would have been barking like crazy if I somehow did not go to the door. We hung up and he supposedly called Mike. Let me say that when Mike was here he made mention of the signs on my door. So Mike knew what the signs said. I have cats and Mike made mention that he might take a kitten home to his wife. Mike was fine and was a nice young man. This is just prefacing what Ryan said on his return call to me (and our last phone call). When Ryan called back he said,"To be honest with you, when I got to your door I couldn't stand the stench of urine and feces and my allergies went crazy." I am absolutely appalled that a business would stoop so low with such big lies -all to try and cover their inferior and incomplete work. I invite anyone to come to my house and smell the "stench"! This whole ordeal has been such a fiasco to get some basic work done. There is a total lack of customer service and communication.I cannot imagine sending workers out to a job without the paperwork(that should have been a red flag) and not having the screens already done for installation(as I was told). The only good thing out of this is my sliding door slides smoothly. But after watching how they fixed the door with new rollers, I realized that I could have done it myself!

Member: Providing great customer service at a reasonable price is our mission and of the up-most importance to us. We have a full office staff with dedicated employees to handle customer service and to make sure every customer is taken care of. In your case, you called our office to sate that the doors we fixed were not locking properly. Following protocol, our office set you up on another appointment I (the owner) was dispatched to your job. I called you several times to confirm but you didn't answer. I drove to your house anyway. When I arrived, I started to walk up to your front door and forgive me for saying this but I became sick from the ammonia smell due to the 17+ cats you have living in your house and under the rotted Jacuzzi on your patio. I could not physically come any further without being sick. I do apologize for that. I truly am sorry that I was not able to come in your house and I had to leave. You have a sign on your front door that states "welcome to our pig pen" so by your own admission you must recognize the problem. Despite the unsafe working conditions of your house we still sent our technicians back in fact we sent two guys there to fix your problem and they did fix your problem. Please do not claim that we are lying because my technicians took pictures of the problem doors for quality control, and the condition of your house is visible in the background. Additionally you are still under warranty should you have any other problems we will honor and stand by our work. However, I think you should remove the F rating you gave us because it is totally unfair.

This was a fairly small job. Two sliding doors were running roughly because the tracks had become pitted. Complete Sliding Doors has a useful kit that involves installing a steel runner over the top of the existing pitted track. This saved us the cost of having to replace the doors completely. Once installed, and once the wheels had been cleaned and lubricated, the doors ran perfectly. Overall an excellent experience.

I was very pleased with them. They were timely in terms of coming out. As a matter of fact we had a repair issue and they came very quickly to fix the problem. I didn't have a problem with their price but I also didn't get a competitive bid so I can't say if they were higher or low but I got a fair price. I don't want to say they were a great price but I just don't know.
Description of Work: I used Complete Sliding Doors & Windows sometime in June to repair all of the sliding glass doors on the house.

They were excellent. They were very good people. They came on time and they did a very good job. They explained everything they were doing as they were doing it. They told me how to maybe avoid it in the future. They gave me the name of the wax that you can spray on the tracks and he told me where they sell it. They were very, very good. I didn’t think it would cost that much.
