Has been a disaster from the beginning. They shipped the self install kit but set the 'install-by' date to the day before it arrived. So I had to call in to get it re-activated. Then after activating, it turned out they had the wrong address on my account. After many phone calls, and they can to deactivate and create a new account and reactivate. Then, I have two bills, since I am in a HOA with a bulk service, it turns out they had two accounts for me (so now I am up to three different accounts with Comcast for the same address and services). Then I got a bill for one of the 'deactivated' accounts for not returning the equipment. The the Internet modem is a pain to use because you have to call them to make changes to some of the settings (unlike the AT&T modem where you can do it all yourself). Then the service when out 45 days in. I have spent two weeks calling to help to restore service. The problem is outside my house as I have two neighbors with the same problems. The techs come and confirm it is outside, and that someone else needs to fix it. But 'someone else' never comes, and you have to call again, and again a tech visits and says the problem is outside my house and that 'someone else' needs to come fix it. This has gone on for two weeks, with at least four visits from techs. So I gave up and tried to switch back to AT&T but they will not release my home phone number back to AT&T because they say I do not have phone service with them (despite the fact they are sending two bills for phone service and I can actually talk on the phone during the brief periods the service is working). So I need to 'reactive' my phone service with Comcast yet again just so I can deactivate it. I has been two months of constant calls to Comcast and getting the run-around and problem after problem. Even going through my HOA to our Comcast representative he just gave us the standard 1-800 number to call for help (which I have been doing for two months).

We get dinged every so often for extra costs. There is no way to stop this, unless we stop using online backups. I will look to DSL soon.
Description of Work: Provided high-speed internet service. However, all their plans have a cap... then you pay more. If you use an online backup, such as dropbox or sugarsync, you can burn through 250GB pretty quickly.

I have noise on my phone. When I bought the service they told me it was a land line and it's not. When the computer goes out and the modem goes out so does the telephone. They screwed up the other company lines and whenever I'm talking to somebody I ended up with static at least a couple of times weekly. They are good about coming when they give you the window that they advertise on television, but a lot of times they can't fix the problem and say that you don't really have a problem. I pay a small fortune considering my homeowner dues we get cable for free, but in addition to that I'm paying $168 a month and the service is supposed to be worth another $60. For some reason it supposed to be an extra $94, but it rounded up being $168. Some of the cost is mine because I added a few extras, but it's always $40 or $50 that you can't quite explain. If you find something different and call them up they usually take care of the bill, but it's a job to do it. If the homeowners association asked for a vote to try something new I would say yes. Once you can get them on the phone you might be able to get somebody, but even getting them on the phone is often a challenge. It will ring for a half hour before you can get a hold of them, but then you can be on hold for another half hour. Some of the guys are very good and some of them are very bad, but it all depends on who they send.
Description of Work: I have "Triple Play" from Comcast Cable which is cable, internet, and telephone services. I also have an extra phone for my fax machine which is only $15.
