Made appointment to visit shop to explain to Jorge loud rattle coming from transmission area during idling. Jorge put my car up on lift and found several areas of the exhaust system loose. He fixed everything in an hour while I waited. My car again runs smoothly and quietly. A bad transmission was a definite possibility on a 9 year old car. Jorge has a well-deserved reputation for being an honest automobile mechanic and for doing dependable repair work. He was the first mechanic I thought of to bring my car to for a diagnosis because I know I can believe him and trust his estimates. He doesn't mind working on older cars and has voluminous experience figuring them out. Thanks to Jorge I'll get at least another 2 years from my old car because it again runs fine.

Description of Work: Car Clinic is a no-nonsense general service auto mechanic. I have been using them for about three years now, and find them to be fair and honest. By no-nonsense, I mean that you can expect that they will not had you a list of bogus services that your car "needs". They only fix what truly needs fixing. They usually insist on an appointment, so call ahead. Also, they have moved in recent months and are a bit harder to find. But they are worth the effort!
