Description of Work: An Air Conditioning unit was installed in my condominium by Adams Air. The manufacturer went bankrupt. We needed a part. Adams Air advised us that we would have to get a second new Air Conditioning unit within two years. Adams Air customer service was very unresponsive. Never use Adams Air!

Description of Work: Used them a couple of years ago, and they were great. Recently I needed AC Service (and ended up needing new AC). I called them 3-4 times before I got a call back. When they finally responded, they said they would get back to me with a quote ... and I never heard from them.

Description of Work: Late Sat. evening, we noticed the air temp warming to 82. Oh, no, who is going to come out on a Sunday A.M? As I always do, I checked Angie's list, and Adam's Air had high marks. My husband called and left word. Within 10 seconds, Adam returned our call, and said his tech, John, would call us to schedule a visit. John called shortly thereafter and was on his way to our house within 25 minutes of his call. Within 2 1/2 hrs from our first call, we were up and running, and cool, cool. Seems the capacitor on the condensor unit was defective and was replaced. Included in the above cost was a one year maintenance contract which includes 2 future home maintenance check ups. We can highly recommend Adam's Air. Very professional, courteous and fixed the problem. Thanks again Adam's Air...you saved the day.

Description of Work: After enduring a 8 month renovation I decided to replace 3 zones of AC both air handlers and compressors. I personally interviewed 3 companies and had 2 back for a second round. Price on comparable units was extremely close on Carrier but I chose Trane which has good Florida performance stats. Adams air did a fantastic job as promised on removal of the old systems and installation of the new. The OWNER Adam was here both days for over 12 hours each day with a team of competent and energetic associates. There were surrounded with potential problems being surrounded by all newly painted wall and refinished floors. When they left after a very successful Installation the place was spotless. Probably one of the best experiences I have ever had on a job this big. Remember in the AC business the last time you see the seller is when you give them the job and it's an entirely different group who installs. I don't often write reviews but in this case I couldn't wait to communicate how good these guys were.

Description of Work: I hired Adams Air to do a maintenance check twice a year on our air conditioning system both in our own home and in a rental condo that we own at a price of $150 each. In the rental condo, they also do a maintenance check on the major appliances. On the first check at the rental condo, they found and corrected a wiring problem with the hot water heater that Sears had installed just a couple of months before. In both units, they check the AC system every six months, blow out the lines, clean the coils, etc. On their last visit, they noticed a drop in pressure and not only filled it up but also found and fixed the site of the leak. Since we live in upstate New York in the summer months, They are trustworthy, keep the work area neat, wear disposable booties so they don't leave marks on rugs, and clean up thoroughly before they leave. Since we live out of town for half the year, I am really happy to have them to turn to in case there is a problem with the AC in either unit while we are away. We have been very happy with the service they provide at reasonable rates.

Description of Work: I called Adams Airs because a friend referred him as a good, honest and dependable person to do business with. My ac was not cooling as it should. First he checked my unit and serviced it. The other ac companies I have used did things that were not acceptable and did not do a thorough job. He found a few problems and corrected them. Then he used his IR camera and went thru my house and discovered a cold spot on my ceiling which indicated that ducts were leaking. After opening the ceiling discovered that I had a major leak and more cold air was going into attic than in the house. He sent out a crew that fully repaired the problem and now my house is cool and my electric billed has dropped substantially. I would highly recommend Adam's Air to anyone needs work done.
