Description of Work: Refrigerator was freezing up they replaced a bunch of parts that I think were not needed. It was as though he was just guessing and really did not do much looking just asked us some questions and ordered parts. We will not know for a while if what he did works

Description of Work: Feel taken advantage of. I spent $85 on a service call for a person to be at my house for less than 5 minutes to pull the model number off of my stove. Apparently parts are no longer made for my stove so the $85 which was supposed to be applied to a repair is lost. The person who can to my house did no analysis at all because I already knew what was wrong. Horrible to spen $85 for a person who spent more time writing up an invoice than looking at my broken appliance. I asked the office staff if this is how they do business, but was told I incurred the $85 because the person was at my house. All of this could have been avoided if they looked for the part I knew I needed before coming out. I understand their position that I should pay because someone was here, but I don't think I should have paid $85 when they did nothing but look for a serial number that I could have gave them over the phone.

Description of Work: I tried to get the Angie's list deal but kept getting a error page. Called the 1-800 number but gave up after waiting on line for 8 and 1/2 minutes. I had to call them directly and had to pay more than the deal.

Description of Work: Repairman arrived on time, looked at the tenant's gas stove that was not heating the oven. Then told me for my $75 I got a diagnosis, and he would fix the igniter for another $200. I was thinking the cost would be closer to $50 per hour + parts, but I said "Go ahead, anyway" to get it done. In less than 1 hour he left me with the part he replaced, which I requested and it only looked dirty, not burned or broken.

Description of Work: Paid $79 for appliance repairman to come out with the 'Big Deal'. I was supposed to at least get an analysis of what was wrong with my washing machine and the gentleman said that he would have to come back with another man to help him un-stack the washer and dryer. There is no reason whatsoever that the dryer had to come down for a diagnosis of the washer. They were just trying to rip me off. I asked for a refund, and did not get it. Luckily I had paid for it with my Discover card and after I initiated the dispute through them, I eventually got my refund. If not for Discover, the appliance company would have ripped me off. Angie's List did NOT have my back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never get suckered into one of the Big Deals again!

It appears your issue is with Angie's List refund policy. We did go to your home and found that the job would have taken 2 men to remove the heavy full-size dryer that was stacked on top of your washer so we could gain access. This is required to remove the top panel of your washer as per factory repair guidelines. We immediately rescheduled your call for the next day and you were unavailable after 3 attempts to recontact you by phone and email. It's too bad you didn't get the opportunity to experience our Super Server award winning service with 35 years of helping families in Palm Beach County with their appliance needs.

Description of Work: They replaced the filter and reservoir in the fridge since the water started tasting bad. Since he came out i have had no issues and the water tastes normal again. They ordered the parts for me, called as soon as they came in and came and fixed. I wasn't there when it was being worked on but my father said the guy was very professional and quick. Would definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: Company had to come out 3 times. The 2 technician and to read from instruction on what to do to fix my refrigerator and the 3rd guy came 7 hours late. Nothing like not having a fridge for a week, but then having people who didn't know what they were doing in the first place. Took 3 people to get it right!

We advised you that the part needed to do so was on a factory back-order and that it may be better to purchase a new appliance due to the cost of parts / labor and the time delay. You demanded a refund of the service charge even though services had been rendered. We overnighted the repair part when it became available, at our cost, to facilitate your repair ASAP. We know we can't make everything perfect for everyone but we tried to satisfy your needs and apparently we didn't meet your goals. Thank you for finally making payment and avoiding a costly lien.
