Tropical Paver Sealing

We had a reasonable quote but on the day of service they were to arrive at 8am. I finally called at 10am and they were running late and would text me. They finally showed up at 4:15pm (8.25 hours LATE) and said they would do it all before dark. Then 5 mins later they knock on the door and say quote is wrong, we did not estimate pool area. I said I have a FIRM WRITTEN quote that calls for driveway, front entrance and patio to be pressure washed, mildewcide, stain removal and 3 coats of sealer. When he would not honor it I told them to leave my property. I have never seen a more SHADY tactic in all my life. We have since gotten 2 other estimates where they provided an estimate SAME day for equal or better service and have already scheduled one of the companies to perform the work.

I dealt with Amanda via email and phone calls. She was very responsive to all of my questions. The company performed the work as discussed. They were punctual, professional and did a wonderful job. The pavers look great! I would use them again and have recommended them to neighbors.

The whole process was a+ from start to finish. Very prompt in returning our call, came for estimate within 48 hours, and were very knowledgeable in answering all our questions and concerns. Scheduled when we requested and actually came a day early which happened to work out better for us. Technician was very thorough. The pavers look just like I wanted, am very pleased with the whole process!

Our experience with Tropical Paver Sealing from start to finish was excellent. Amanda had our estimate to us very quickly and provided far more information than any of the other companies we received quotes from. They were able to schedule us very quickly and the installers arrived early, finishing the job in just a couple of hours. The driveway looks fantastic! Will definitely be using them again.

Very Responsive! Supplier provided a prompt quote and service appointment. They called to offer an earlier date as they had an opening and came to do the work, finished on time, and did a great job overall. They even took initiative to revise and lower the cost as there was an area covered by the quote which could not be sealed. They came on 5/4/15 and sealed my driveway pavers (and also along the rear perimeter of my home) that were layed a week prior. The gentlemen were informative and professional. They did a great job! My pavers looked glossy and flawless! Unfortunately, its beauty only lasted 3 months. Florida's summer months (weather) is brutal and my brand new pavers began to lose some color (fading), boldness, and richness. They look as dull as they did before being sealed, almost as if they still had the original dust and sand from installation. I contacted Tropical Paver Sealing immediately because they claim to guarantee of their work. When I contacted them, Amanda replied promptly and assured me that she would send their head technician to see what they can do to take care of it. After a month, I contacted Tropical Paver Sealing again to see if we could possibly confirm a date since I still hadn't heard back from them but they will not respond and I do not have the time to continue trying to contact them. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED with this company!! I have spent a lot of money upgrading my home and this is money thrown down the drain if I am not happy with the final outcome. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! THE ONLY TIME MY PAVERS LOOK SEALED IS WHEN IT RAINS! I waited to write my review in order to provide the most accurate details.

It looks great. Came back and reapplied as I was concerned the recent rains might have impacted application. Will use these guys for front drive and future re-applications.

I initially stopped payment on my check to him because it didn't look like he did anything. I gave him another check after he sealed it like two or three more times, but it's just look like I threw $4,000 out the window. There is absolutely no difference. They raved about the product, but I won't use it again. It's water based and not oil based. For the price, I got nothing. They also cancelled a lot and didn't show up. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

The tech showed up on time and was very professional and courteous. He pressure washed and cleaned my paver driveway thoroughly. Before preceding with sealing the driveway he asked if I had any concerns and was satisfied with the cleaning. The pavers looked as new as the day I moved into my home. He then started sealing the driveway and took his time to ensure an evenly coat over all the pavers. My driveway looks amazing. It turned out much better than I had imagined. From the first phone call, to the estimate, to the completion of the job, Tropical Paver Sealing was professional, honest, and performed and excellent job on my driveway. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future.

I called for an estimate and got someone over the same day. Got an estimate via email shortly after. Got a good price and agreed to it. They set it up for Friday. Rain was in forecast so they just did the prep work which was cleaning and power washing. They would have to come later to seal since t looked like rain. It rained the next day , but they returned on Sunday morning to do the sealing. They put three coats of sealant on the pavers. It looks fantastic. The workers were professional and always kept us in the loop of when they would be coming. Highly recommend.

I contacted several companies for this work. All responded quickly and arranged to come see and measure my patio. All EXCEPT Tropical delivered bids within a few days. After over 2 weeks, still nothing from Tropical. Obviously they don't need the work. And more obviously, their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism are severely lacking. Even if they sent a great bid today, I would not trust their ability to deliver on anything.

I contacted Tropical Pavers to get an estimate on repairing some pavers on my pool coping and for a cleaning/sealing of the entire pool deck. They came out to take measurements, and provided an estimate that day. Although they do not do the specific repairs I was in need of, they did provide a fair estimate for the cleaning and sealing, and fully explained their service and products. I called Dana (the owner) the next day to schedule service for the following day. The guys came out, earlier than expected, which was great. They worked hard for around 5 hours, to fully pressure wash my entire pool deck. The then applied the 3 layers of sealant. They even helped remove, and replace the pool gate for me. In addition, they offered advice on short term fixes for my repairs until I can get a contractor to come look at the problem. The professionalism and quality of work was outstanding. Both of the guys that came out were great. They clearly explained what they would be doing, and even pointed out areas they may need special attention. The look of the deck is amazing (just completed today, so I'm not sure how the appearance may change after a few hours. I would highly recommend this company to do the work we hired them for. I feel the crew went above and beyond, and complete the whole job within about 5 hours.

I would have no issues with hiring this company again. The communication was excellent, the estimator showed up as scheduled and gave us a very good price. The work was completed as promised and the quality seems good, although it hasn't rained yet! Technicians were pleasant, knowledgeable, patient and thorough.

Excellent, courteous work by Dave and Milton. Arrived as scheduled, explained everything, worked efficiently and hard for 5+ hours. They also threw in additional services such as blowing off pool screen and power washing a brick fireplace/grill. The decks look great. We will call in the future and are happy to give Tropical Paver a top recommendation.

It went better than we could have ever expected.... A+ across the board.

The crew removed and replace all plant pots and pool furniture for us. That would have been impossible for me to handle. They did an excellent job of cleaning some really mold and dirt from all the nooks and grannies of the travertine tile.

My son, whom I help out because he travels extensively, wanted to start preparing his home for sale. There were a few low spots around his pool deck. I called his regular maintenance pool service to ask if they do these type of repairs. They didn't but recommended two different companies. The first company was too busy, the second company came to give an estimate. The second company stated it would be no problem to repair the low spots around the pool deck. The service person also stated that the decking should be pressure washed, re-sanded to prevent week growth, and sealed to give the block a slight wet look. I informed my son, and he agreed. The contractor stated that the cost would be $1,510. I thought the cost was more than fair, in fact a little low but I wasn't going to argue. The contractor started the job. My son paid the contractor and my son left for six weeks. When my son came back his pool deck was all full of weeds, one area of the block that had been repaired had fallen into the soft ground, there was sand all over the top of the pool deck and the sealant was sprayed on top of the sand-gluing the sand to the top of the pool deck. The company was called and left textmessages, they never responded back. I checked Angie's List and found Tropical Paver Sealing. I called and explained the situation to Dana. Dana came out immediately and looked at the pool deck. Dana stated they could restore it but it would be a lot of work and it wouldn't come all the way back to what it was. My son didn't care...he wanted it restored the best it could be because he wanted to put the home up for sale. Dana sent a crew of two guys and expected it to take a full day just to strip it and part of another day to sand it and seal it. After a few hours the two-man crew called Dana and said the stripping was not coming along as they expected. Dana had to put four-men on it and they took two one-half days to do 3 strippings, pressure wash, re-sand the joints, and 3 seals to get it to look back to normal. There are still a few areas that are stained, but it looks so much better. Dana was in contact with me every day to tell the progress. He was also patient when i asked questions. The pavers looked fabulous...like they should've looked when we hired the first contractor. p.s. Dana also gave us the name of a company that could really repair the soft areas around the pool deck and did a great job too.

Dana, the owner, was prompt and very professional and informative when he came to give the estimate. The two guys who came the next day to do the work were over an hour late but it was NOT their fault. Another client had requested a last minute task not on their original work order (help hanging curtains of all things). Being the customer oriented company they are, they did stay longer to help, which consequently made them late at my house. However, there was no negative impact to me. They started work around 9:30 and were through by 2 or 2:30pm. I had no other appointments that day so being a little late was of no consequence to me. The workers were very professional and took their time explaining exactly what they would do, how they would do it, and then after the work was complete explaining what they did. I would definitely recommend them in the future.

This service was last performed 4 years ago, so we were long overdue. Our pavers were so bad that I was worried they would not come clean. When the Tropical Pavers crew got finished the pavers looked as good as new. Dana called me right away and was able to squeeze us into his schedule. we had a short window of time in which the work could be done. Since he did our pavers 3 years ago, he did not have to come out and measure. I was kind of concerned how much the cost of the work would have risen over this period of time. I was shocked to pay what I had paid for this same service 4 years ago. We had a problem with a small area of pavers. All I had to do was call Dana and he arranged for his crew to come back and correct the issue, The crew worked hard with only a short break. THey gave me an envelope with the bill before they started working and all I had to do was write the check and put it in the envelope and seal it. The entire process was streamlined. No complaints. Will hire again. It's little expensive, but they do a great job.

Our concrete driveway (no pavers) had been plagued by black mildew growing in "micro-fractures" in the concrete which happened every rainy season, causing the structural integrity of the driveway and sidewal to begin to deteriorate, and to become a maintenance nightmare, needing frequent presure washing with bleach, and concern over what would happen when the "micro-fractures" became enlarged (due to moisture, and heating / cooling cycles during the rainy season and cooler nights, etc). Based on Angies List recommendations and those of friend and neighbors, my wife and I decided to call Dana at Tropical Paver Sealing. He and one of his crew members (no subcontractors) came out and evaluated the problem, and recommended using an eco-friendly, water-based concrete sealant on all of the concrete surfaces, after they pressure washed with an anti-mildew additive (also eco-friendly). They showed-up on time, and were able to perform the work within less than a week from the date we first contacted them. Without being asked, they gave us a great discount, and explained everything we needed to know about how the sealant worked, the life expectancy of the sealant, etc. After the pressure washing (also scrubbing with a power scrubber was complete, and the concrete had dried a bit, they applied the sealant. Instead of "taking shortcuts", Tropical Paver Sealing's crew applied THREE coats of sealant, overlapping every time and making sure the surfaces were thoroughly treated. The sealant, while it does not cause water to bead like wax, is designed to penetrate the concrete and make the actual structure of the concrete bond as a whole structure, and the results (after having to stay off it with vehicles for a day or two) was nothing short of amazing! While the sealant had an odor to it, it was more like a "sweet" smell, like strong orange blossoms, rather than the terrible xylene or toluene smell that can make you sick from other concrete stains, etc. The sealant is clear, but leaves a bit of a "sparkle" when the sun hits it, so you can tell it's still on there and doing it's job. Now, because the driveway is concrete and the product is designed to penetrate the concrete, the result is like having one large granite slab, as far as durability goes. The crew was professional and polite at all times, and answered all of our questions without hesitation. They KNOW their products, and while some other pressure washign companies forget the small details, Tropical Paver Sealing watered-down all the grass and plants before the job began, and not one blade of grass was harmed by the mildewcide, or the sealant. The end-result? While the driveway does still get dirt and a small bit of mildew on the SURFACE, there is no penetration of tire marks, mildew, or "grunge" into the concrete itself. The dirt is ON the driveway, not IN the concrete. Plus, all deterioration of the concrete has been halted and actually reversed. I can still see the "micro-fracture" marks, but they have not grown a bit since the sealant was applied. As testimony to Dana (the owner's) dedication to customer satisfaction, when our driveway started showing signs of some mildew re-growth, he sent his crew out WITHOUT CHARGE, to pressure wash it and the other concrete areas. It only took 1/2 hour for the pressure wash, without the need for "scrubbing". The dirt and mildew pretty-much rolled off the driveway, even after the rainiest and most humid summer season we've seen in years. Top marks to Dana and his crew for being the best in the business! if we ever decide to place pavers on the concrete drivewway, the first call that will be made is to Tropical Paver Sealant to make sure they come out to preserve our investment before mother nature can start breaking-down the porous pavers! 100% recommended by a customer who isn't afraid to tell it like it is. Tropical Paver Sealing states in their "About Us" section on their website that they are dedicated to serving the Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, Polk, Manatee, Bradenton, Sarasota, Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Osceola, Seminole, Desoto, Sumter and Lake counties. I live in Lake County (Leesburg). I first attempted to get a quote via their online process on September 19th. After 10 days and no response I tried their Orlando phone number (September 29, 2014, 9:11AM 407-535-3352). There was no answer and it eventually went to voice mail. I left a message stating I needed an estimate and giving them the size and location of the job. In a little over two hours I got a call back (1140AM from 727-786-4011 which another of their numbers for requesting quotes). However, they hadn't listened to my voice mail message - they just called back my number. I explained, for the third time, that I was requesting a quote and described the size and location of the job. I was told that it wasn't worth their time to do my job because it was too far (too much gas they said) and my 832 square feet (a double driveway, front walks, front stoop and back patio) were too small a job. I asked if they were the closest company location to me and it was confirmed that they were. They advertise on their website that they service Lake County and they don't advertise a minimum size job. If they aren't willing to service a geographic area, they need to stop advertising that they do. If they have a minimum job size, they need to advertise that requirement. I only contacted them because they came highly rated on Angie's List.
