How can a business expect to succeed when that business violated basic trust by FAILING TO RETURN a potential NEW CUSTOMER'S phone calls requesting an estimate???? I left two detailed voice mail messages over 3 days this past week. NO REPLY. What kind of "service, expertise, and dependability" can I expect from a business that CANNOT even return voice messages? (Not to mention respect and common decency). We are only talking "landscaping" here....not brain surgery or rocket science! *****CAVEAT EMPTOR****Let the buyer beware!!!

They were prompt. They were thorough and they came back and fixed one problem that I had.

They did a great job and it looks wonderful, no more letters from the HOA because grass won't grow there.

Current status of my service with the Garden Gnome. I had Christmas Lights installed on 11/1. When they left the lights did not work and the left. They came back the next day and managed to get them working. At that point we turned them off as it was too early. Yesterday we turned on to discover they do not work again. I contacted them and they indicated someone would come fix the next day. I was told in the am that someone would be to my house late afternoon. As late as 6pm I was told someone was in route. I waited all afternoon to be told at 630 that no one was coming. 1100 dollars later and I am a return customer I have lights that do not work and a company that does note care. Last year I had a schedule issue with the owner only to be screamed at by him that I was wrong. Yet I had a text to confirm otherwise. This company cannot be trusted and I will never do business with them again. Beware!!!

Their service is excellent. Good staff and fast. They are willing to always work with you.

We hired The Garden Gnome around the first week of October 2017 to redo the landscaping in the back hard. Specifically, we wanted the perimeter of the pool deck redone with new palms and plants along with new lava rock. In addition, there were 2 corners of the rear yard that had existing palms that we wanted to have plant areas as well with lava rock (instead of grass.) Chip was super polite and came out and provided a quote which detailed the entire project. After a couple months, I contacted Chip to make some modifications to the quote - mainly just removing some drain pipes and sod. Everything else remained the same. The job was completed and looked great. But after a month, I noticed there were a lot of weeds growing up through the lava rock - even more than before it was redone. I went out and started digging through the lava rock and found that there was no landscape fabric. I reviewed security footage of the days the workers were there and found that they had never installed the fabric. I reached out to Chip regarding this and he assured me that they did. I invited him out to see for himself. After a few days, I received a message that he did go out and confirmed that NO landscape fabric was used and that he would send his guys out to fix it. After a few days, the guys arrived and pulled out most of the lava rock and put down landscape fabric. The only problem with this is that they had to cut it up in many pieces due to the fact the plants/trees were already in place. It appeared very sloppy as well, as I could see edges of the landscape cloth sticking up from the lava rock. The crew was sent out again to try to resolve the issue, but if anything was done, it didn't make any difference. Well it's been 7 months now and it looks like I'm going to have to pull all of the lava rock out myself and redo all of the landscape fabric. I have 3x the weeds now as I did prior to the job being completed and my wife and I weed constantly. The landscape cloth barely overlaps (if at all) and is sticking up out of the lava rock in some areas. Weeds are growing between the seams of the cloth and since they dug out all of the rock once already it is very thin in a lot of areas instead of them adding more to cover the cloth back up. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I really wanted to like these guys, but I just can't find a reason right now. I feel ripped off and it was all due to them taking a short cut and not putting down landscape cloth at the beginning of the project and not fixing it correctly when they were found to be in the wrong. I don't expect landscape cloth to be the end of all weeds, but the gaps between the pieces that they threw down have deep-rooted weeds growing up - some as large as the plants. The area around the pool NEVER had this number of weeds and it was several years old. The exiting area in my front yard (original) doesn't have very many weeds either. And if so, they're right on the surface and easily come up. Photo 1: No landscape cloth noticed a few days after project completion due to weeds starting to grow. Photos 2-5: Major weed growth just 2-3 months after the project was completed.

Stray stones ended up in the lawn all around the beds. The plantings and beds looked okay but the materials were not cold-hardy for my area and didn't make it through the winter.

One of Chip's employees came back in December and did some planting, but as of January 11th the job is still not complete. A two day job is now taking at least 3 months and I gave the Garden Gnome full payment after day one. I have given up on this job ever being completed so my grade for Chip is an F. Shame on him for not being honorable and shame on me for paying him in full before the job was completed. I will also be reporting him to the BBB.

She liked their work and I did too. The landscaping and sod I thought they did a wonderful job. I dont think they did a good job on the drain, there is a lot of blockage and I will have to clean that up. My thinking is it does not seem like they installed it for natural drainage almost like an incline. Last year it worked wonderfully but now it seems stopped up. My wife was pleased with people.

I gave this deal to my daughter and son in law and they were thrilled with the quality of the work.

I feel so embarrassed, I actually paid $25 to have somebody come give me an estimate for grass for my yard. I believe estimates are free and that I was taken advantage of from this business. although he was exceptionally nice and knowledgeable it's the point of the matter.

They were on time and did an amazing job. I wanted a low maintenance landscape so Chip, the owner designed one. Love the way it came out

On the first visit a detailed design plan was prepared and presented. The proposal was accepted and the work proceeded in a timely and professional manner. This reviewer was especially impressed that the company promptly brought in additional professionals to repair a leaking pool pipe and a landscape lighting outage that occurred during the installation.

It made a huge difference in the appearance and gave the house much more curb appeal.

I have been using them for about a year and they always do a great job. The trees that they planted last year are very healthy and I was very happy with the landscape design.

They were fine. The service was great. My only concern was the pricing. The interaction was good and the work was good. I would get price quotes to use them again.

Failed to respond to call. Left message, no response.

It was installed in a timely manner and it looks great.

Chip arrived on time and spent a good 30-49 minutes outside in the heat of the day while we waited inside sipping on lemonade. He was quite professional and we certainly got our money's worth. He gave a nice presentation.

I was very pleased with the proposed landscape design and plan to hire them at a later point to execute it.

I got him through Angie's List. There was no charge for the estimate. He drew up his proposal of what plants will go where. It took him an hour and I was impressed with that. They were very responsive. They called immediately to schedule it. She called to remind me. He was here right on time. They are certainly going to come out here and do some work.

It went great. Every man on the crew was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and answered any question I had. They were punctual and left my yard very clean.
