Scheduled a return visit to treat for ghost ants. Treated again and is to return to verify problem is corrected. Will use again.

 + -1 moreWe were happy with them. They did a thorough inspection. They were very responsive when we called them. It was Rick Ricker who actually came out and he was very good at explaining exactly what they would do and why they do at the way that they do it, which was a little different from some other people. They treat it once a year. They had a lot of good ratings on Angie's List. They are slightly on the higher side with price. We were satisfied but it was slightly higher than what we had been paying previously with the previous person but we were not happy with the previous person which we did not get off Angie's List.

 + -1 moreGreat experience. I have an old house so I had some ongoing challenges with ants. Initially they treated my house and said it probably wouldn't need any follow up until next year. Unfortunately, they had to come out probably 8 times to treat ants. I will give them credit that they called after the 7th time to say they were going to figure out a solution and fix the problem. The 8th treatment did the trick. They were very professional and customer oriented. The problem was solved. their products are pet friendly too

 + -1 moreI got their name from Angie's List in the first place. I have been using them for three years and I am very happy with them. I never have any bugs in the house in general, which is good. I had sugar ants in my house one time and they sent someone out without charge to get rid of them for me and that worked fine. They are doing the job and I am getting what I wanted. They are always courteous and professional. They always get here on time. I am very happy with them.

Rick seemed to have a better overall knowledge of what we wanted done than any of the others. They preformed their work efficiently and quickly. He carefully explained what we should look out for, exit holes which needed to be sealed, and other areas which he suggested should be sealed in order to add an additional layer of protection. Chris also said the company will send a renewal notice to us in about a year and to call the Company if we had any questions.
Description of Work: Chris Ricker from the Company treated the entire house for dry wood termites. The treatment included Termidor which was sprayed in the attic, on raw wood, and injected into the walls and soffits of known infested areas, Approximately 4 weeks later he came back and performed an inspection of the known infested area.

 + -1 moreThe company performed a termite inspection on the first initial consultation. It was discovered that we had an ant issue and no termites. We had the general pest control service done on the second visit by the pest control techs. They did a complete job. First they sprayed the exterior of the house including doors and windows. Then they spread granules in the planting beds. They added dust behind all the wall outlets in all rooms. They sprayed in all cracks and crevices and around all doors and windows internally. Then they added dust to the attic as a final measure. They added foam in a wall void where we had visible activity and to control mildew in an adjacent wall to the garage that seemed to have excessive moisture due to a nearby water header. They also sprayed the garage. Overall, they did an excellent job.
Description of Work: We had a major issue with ants in our home. Despite using two pest products bought from a local store to manage the ant issue, we found that the issue was getting out of control. Ant activity seemed to be increasing when we realized that there might be a nest inside the house. We decided to call in a pro to inspect the house for termites, ants, and other pests. We were relieved to know that we had no termites but did have an ant issue. The services performed was general pest control service to control ants. The service consisted of commercial sprays and dusts applied both externally and internally to the house. The products were applied to the attic, doors, windows, cracks & crevices, wall voids, exterior foundation, plant beds, and exterior doors and windows. In other words, the services was a whole house treatment for controlling all above ground crawling pests.

 + -1 morei changed my rating from an overall F to a D, but gave Rick's Termite Service an F for professionalism. I received an email on 15 Aug 11, telling me that my report was false and that they had been in contact with my wife. I called my wife and she told me the first contact she had was after I filed the report on Angie's List. In fact, the first email I received from Rick was after i filed the complaint on Angie's List. This is true, i have no reason to lie. If they did try to contact my wife, contact was not made until after I filed the report - and they threatened my wife and told her I better fix my report on Angie's List. This is totally unacceptable. I am in Afghanistan, but there is no reason they could not reply to my emails sooner. I will not use their services - due to their professionalism.

So, they are doing a good job. They are reasonably priced and they are good at their service. We have an annual fee which is about $250.

 + -1 moreRick and Christopher his son, lived up to their reputation. They delivered professional service in a timely manner and at the price quoted.
Description of Work: I received a complimentary termite inspection from my regular pest control provider. Termites had just started to swarm but were localized to a small area of my upstairs shower. A thorough inspection was done and termites were not found in any other area. My regular provider recommended a 5 year treatment costing over $2700 after a 40% discount. After I balked at paying such a hefty price we agreed to a 1 year treatment of over $1700 with annual treatment of approximately $250. It was after that I decided to check Angies List and found Rick Ricker Termite & Pest Control Inc. I was able to set up an appointment within a reasonable time frame. Rick arrived on time as promised. He was very thorough and professional. He inspected inside and outside the house. He confirmed that the termites were confined to a small and gave me 2 options. A spot treatment for $250 with annual treatment or a full house treatment for $809, after the Angies List discount, and annual treatment of $162. He explained thoroughly the chemicals that would be used and the method of treatment. He did not recommend tenting of the house. He assured me that there was no rush as the house was not going to fall down overnight. After discussing the options with my family we called back two weeks later to setup an appointment. Christopher came to do the treatment, going through the upstairs attic, which is a challenge. He arrived a 10.00 AM and was here until 3.00 PM still treating the property. In the process he reconnected an air duct that had been separated from the upstairs air handler, which not have otherwise come to our attention . A followup appointment has been setup a month later to ensure that the treatment was effective. This Company's services are highly recommend.
