That was very good. He took the time to explain questions. He went over a plan if I was interested in annual. He was on time and he called beforehand to confirm appointment which I appreciated.

The Tech was very informative and a pleasure to work with. I like that any issues we have for the next 12 months, we get follow-up services for free.

Five days after the treatment there are dead bugs everywhere. That my friends is a good thing. Hernando (the executioner) said that we would see activity for up to 2 weeks after. The only activity I've seen is dying bugs. This morning my bathroom floor looked like Normandy on D-Day. So far we are very pleased with the results. Now, I just have to figure out where to get a whole ship-load of teensy tiny little body bags. I'll update the review after the two weeks are up.

I contacted this company for an assessment of my home. I had been seeing more bugs in the house since the daily rains here in Miami. Hernando was the representative that came to the home. He was very professional. He also called me prior to confirm the appointment. He checked the house thoroughly including the attic. After assessing my home, he said he did not think I had any infestation. He did not try to sell me anything. I asked him to explain the packages they offered. I decided to take the $300 package which included baiting, spraying some type of powder in the light outlets, the attic and spraying outside. He said someone would call me the next day to schedule the service appointment. As promised, someone from the office contacted me to schedule the appointment. Hernando called me prior to the appt to confirm that he was going to be arriving at the home. As expected, he was very thorough throughout the home. He could not spray outside due to the constant rains. I had to schedule another appointment for that. He was always in contact with me to confirm all the appointments. Finally, we had a break from the rains when we had the last appointment for outside spraying. He sprayed everything outside. There were a total of 3 appointments and all went very smoothly. I was looking for a great company that was not like any of the bigger ones like Orkin for Truly Nolen. Mom had dealt with them at one time and was not pleased with their services nor billing practices. Rick Ricker and company are really great. I would definitely use them again. Thanks to Angie's list, I found another great company that provides great service.

I called and emailed Rick Ricker Termite and Pest Control because I saw what I was sure were termite swarmers. Technician Hernando Castaneda promptly returned my call and we set up an appointment date for inspection. Hernando arrived early and provided both an internal and external inspection of my home, confirming that I did have termite droppings. He provided me with a very reasonable estimate. And, best of all, the treatment could be provided without my home being tented. I did not have to pack up anything. There was no danger associated with my staying in the house. Hernando was very accommodating with regard to setting up a date for treatment. The company placed a reminder call to me to confirm the date and time. Again, Hernando arrived as promised and went right to work. When he left, everything looked like it did when he arrived (i.e. some furniture had to be moved).. I must add that I asked so many questions (I'm sure a few more than once) and Hernando answered every single one, ensuring my understanding. I am extremely happy with the services of Rick Ricker Termite and Pest Control and particularly with their technician Hernando Castaneda.

The company is very thorough and we have not had any ants or bugs in our home for two years.

The tech showed up on time (a little early actually) and explained what he would be doing. I advised him that we were having a german cockroach problem in the kitchen and he did let me know that one spray might not be enough. He also let me know that we might see more bugs at first because of the treatment, but then that would subside a few days after the treatment. He also put down some roach gel in the kitchen and put dust in some of the electrical outlets to get the bugs that might be in the wall. He sprayed all over the outside of the house and inside. He made sure the get all of the windows and our screened patio. He was very friendly and professional. Saw a few more bugs than normal for the first couple of days. It has been 2 weeks since the treatment and the roaches are almost all gone, just a baby or two once in a while and I haven't seen any ants or roaches or palmetto bugs since the treatment. Would definitely use again!

I found them on Angie's List. It's one of Angie's List's top ones. We got a discount from them. He thought he knew where it was getting in. He thought there was only one which it turned out to be. He also pointed out some other areas that needed patching up. He set a date to come back to patch everything up and put a few traps out there. If there were any more, he would come back for a year. They're an A+. They were excellent in every way.

We had observed a termite swarm and called Ricks. He investigated and confirmed the dry wood termites. We arranged a termite treatment and a annual pest control program (purchase through Angie's List special offer). Our home was treated and the offending termites were discovered to be in our kitchen counters. Ricks will be back soon to complete the follow up to ensure the termite treatment was successful.

It was actually a mediocre experience. Specifically, the technician didn't spray the entire interior and exterior of the house as promised in the deal.

Hernando came out to our house for free. He examined the dead insects he found and proclaimed them to be flying ants, not termites. He was knowledgeable and personable. I've had so many BS artists try to sell me something I didn't need, but Hernando from Rick Ricker didn't make a penny from me this time — and because of that, forever more I will always call Rick Ricker for any pest-control issues. Thank you for being honest!

It was very fast. I felt i could of bought the spray cans and done it myself. Usually there is some special mixture but that this was just cans.

Went well everything worked

The service went well. They were very responsive and they did exactly what the deal stated. My wife was the one who interacted with the technicians, and as far as I know everything went well. I believe there were no issues with scheduling.

I've used him in the past. What I liked was that he didn't require a contract, he just came out and took care of the issue. I spent $100 which was a little more than someone who would require a contract for the same service. They're a family-owned company. He was prompt, they answered my calls, they were ale to get out here the next day and as far as I know they took care of the problem. The job was good and there weren't any issues. They didn't try to talk me into things that were not necessary.

Rick Ricker Termite and Pest control company have been great to work with since day 1. They clearly explained the contract in the beginning and the work they have done every time we have called them out for service. We are increasingly seeing positive results, fewer to no termites, ants, roaches, and rodents. They are always punctual and will call if they can be earlier.

It was fine. I don't remember anything negative happening.

Had the house treated for termites last year, no tenting. Had some swarming almost a year after and they came out right away and treated it at no cost. They explained this was a possibility because of the size of the initial colony, so much better than one time tent and leave services.

Very easy to make appointment for free estimate, Hernando was on time for estimate and had a lot of patience answering all my questions. Got quote for job, I think it was fair. Chris came out following week to do treatments, he was on time too, went right to work non stop and efficient. Explained to me about warranty, etc. Did see some swarming after treatments, which is what I was told to expect so no problem there, said they would be checking in with me in about 30 days. They also explained to me that if I see any activity after 30 days, not to hesitate to call them and they would be out to treat again. Will post if there are any problems but I'm hoping not since the service was good.

These guys were wonderful. They went over every inch of my house including a tiny crawl space of an attic and another foot high space under the house. They knew exactly were the bugs had gotten in and they treated all the needed areas. I got an education about the bugs. If you have termites this is the company to call.

Dave and another gentleman (sorry I forgot your name, its been a while) treated the and quot;termite roomand quot; and all windows in the house as well a** spraying the attic. I have had to have them come back a a few times but believe there was only activity present for a couple of them as old termite evidence may have just vibrated out of an old area (old, small wood house). They have come back every time I have called. My house is an anomaly and knew there may be a couple spots remaining despite the thorough treatment. I have not had any issues with termites since and intend to renew on a service plan when my year expires.

Good but he said he was coming Friday to seal up 2 holes and never came. Still seen a couple of termites flying around and a few on porch. I don't know if this is normal. Company says it could take up to 30 days to get rid of them. Good thing is I have a warranty.

House has just been sprayed, so it's too soon to see effectiveness. As warned, we are still seeing swarms...was told that it takes a week or so before activity diminishes. Haven't seen any other bugs (ants, palmetto bugs, etc).

It was pretty expensive. They are very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. They explain the process and don't try to use scare tactics. I just felt confident that we were going to be protected with them that they use good quality products. It is a lot of work and it is not something that the average owner would be able to do. *Update on October 6 2014. In response to the companies response about pricing, for some reason the cost of service was incorrect. It has since been corrected for the 3 services that were provided. Having said that, I still stick with my original opinion that it was expensive-BUT worth it because of the work involved and the peace of mind knowing that we won't have to worry about pests and termites. I expected a monthly visit and told them someone was always home. However, roach infestation continued for months, even after initial applications. After a few months of still seeing roaches at home, I asked my niece, who is home during the day, if Rick Ricker's technicians were coming regularly. Turns out, they hadn't ever come back after the initial application. When I called them, the lady informed me that they schedule appointments only if the homeowner calls and says there are insects. None of this was said from the start. I wouldn't have contracted with them as I don't have the time to have to follow up..and I don't like the idea of waiting for insects to already be present before calling for service. I prefer a regular prevention schedule. On the positive side, the technician and the person who answers the phone were very pleasant.
