I've used Rick Rickers' since 2010. All their techs are knowledgeable, courteous, professional, helpful, and prompt. They respond quickly when treatment is needed throughout the year. I have been so well satisfied that recommended them to my parents, who have also been very pleased.

The phone agents were very professional and courteous. They sent a service tech who came to our house to perform the services listed in the coupon which covers: general household pests such as roach, ant, silverfish, cricket, spider, earwig, millipede, scorpion, and more. We were still seeing ants, silverfish, and spiders 3 weeks after the initial service so we called them back to re-treat. They said they would be willing to come back if we were still seeing any of these bugs. The gentleman who showed up came in with a small can and spayed in several places in the house. I told him that we were still seeing spiders and he said that the product he brought could only kill spiders if he could see them. He said that I would need to kill the spiders myself. I was rather dismayed because I thought I was paying for a product that would do that for me.

They informed me that they couldn't work with squirrels.

It was fine. The man was very pleasant.

There is a lack of communication with the office staff and the sent out exterminator technicians. I had purchases an Angie's list coupon for this exterminator for $75 for a one time visit. The office staff understood this was done for the scheduled service. My mother was staying at my house at the time and over saw the service get done. My mother did not know that the service was already paid for and she paid the technician AGAIN. My mother is very tough on money, so this was a LOT of money for her. I called to complain and they offered to refund the $75 plus come out a second time to make sure the pest problem was addressed. The refund was no good to me because my mother would not take the money back because she wanted to help me. I did have them come out a second time to deal with the ant problem. The technician I had dealt with did a fast spray at 2 door ways and one window. This second, super fast treatment did not seem to do anything for our issue. I have now switched to BOB's BUGS and I am paying much less for a quarterly treatment. They also do house calls between treatments to help with pest problems!!!

It went really well. The entire process was done quickly. I did not see a roach for two months afterwards.

The treatment was thorough and efficient.

The onsite techs Ben and Mike were great. They showed up early, explained what needed to be done and were very personable.

Update to original 2005 posting: We are still using Rick Ricker and while the price has gone up and we don't see Rick as often any more, I still feel we get good service. We had a financially challenging period a few years ago and Rick worked with us to ensure we continued to get the service we needed even if it meant being VERY flexible on payment timing or taking smaller payments. RICK TAKES COMPLETE CARE OF HIS CUSTOMERS. WHEN I THOUGHT I HEARD RATS IN MY ATTIC, EVEN THOUGH I ONLY HAD A CONTRACT FOR BUG CONTROL, HE CAME OUT FOR FREE AND INVESTIGATED THE PROBLEM. HE DISCOVERED A YOUNG POSSUM MOTHER AND HER KIDS LIVING ABOVE MY BEDROOM. WHEN I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO GO NEXT OR WHO TO ASK FOR HELP, RICK HELPED ME FIND AN ETHICAL WILDLIFE REMOVAL SERVICE TO GET THE POSSUMS OUT OF MY ATTIC. SERVICE HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON TIME AND HIS STAFF IS JUST AS NICE AS RICK.

The service was fine but it was not clear about cost of services. Wasn't pleased with the description of the cost of the services. Deal did not state additional charges for coming back for additional treatment.

I always gauge a vendor by how they communicate and handle a customer on the phone and in person. Well this company gets high marks in both instances. They always answered my questions professionally and were always patient. This service is very thorough and helpful. I needed this done for my parents and I was in town for only a few weeks and they made the process so much easier.

The owner came out first and took an estimate. When the worker came out, he just was not equipped to handle the job, so we found another service provider.

It was just wonderful. They were just wonderful all the way around. It has a year warranty and they said that if we find any evidence of termites, they will come out immediately. The price included a 10 percent discount from Angie's List. They were punctual and professional. They are willing to return if there are any problems. I would recommend them and I would hire them again.

It was really good. So far, so good. They were really nice. They came out pretty quick. So far everything is pretty great. The price was for a treatment and a one year warranty. The price is apparently good for my side of the state because I called 5 other people. They are right in line as far as Tampa is concerned. I would give them my business again because there is no difference in price for all the guys that were licensed and bonded and offered a warranty.

Had an in-home visit for an estimate. The rep was very, very generalized and recommended a whole-home package for $300+ that didn't feel personalized to my individual needs. Granted, this may have been the best solution for my home, but there was no tie-in to my scenario. Felt like a very corporate, pencil-whipped answer. In the end, I went to a locally owned extermination retailer and was able to spend $60 and my problem is all but 100% resolved.

Overall, they did an OK job. The price was fair I did see a few less bugs immediately after they sprayed, although they did later return.

The deal went well and I would use them again. The application made a positive difference so I'm overall happy. I would recommend them!

They did a good job. They were very professional. They showed up and they did what they said they would do. It worked out to be cheaper than the people I was paying quarterly.

The service provider was prompt, professional and so nice! He quickly put on booties before entering my home (not many companies will automatically place booties without asking) and gave me all information of what was going to be provided. We haven't seen a single ant since! We will definitely be using RIck Ricker Termite and Pest control again.

He was punctual . Very professional let me know what he was doing and if he had to go outside.

I asked for help with spiders. He arrived right on time, was always professional, patiently answered all my questions, and then proceeded to do his job. I liked this company and will continue service with them. Thanks!

Provider was on time as per agreement. Able to perform work without disrupting home daily routine. Thorough and clean. No mess to clean after job performed.

I had bought a big deal few days ago and Rick called the next day to set up an appt. He was very courteous and friendly on the phone. I also had contact with a receptionist/appt setter who was very professional and had a smile in her voice that made you know she was happy at her job. I had set Sept 4 at 4 pm for the appt. Of course about 3:50 it started raining like the dickens (you know- cats and dogs) so he couldn't do the outside but went ahead and did the inside. Reggie Willoughby was the exterminator. I cannot speak highly enough of him. Reggie was thoughtful, considerate, friendly and answered all the questions my husband and I had. He had a great attitude and smiled the entire time we were talking...When he finished, I had him go back and spray behind some cupboards and under the kitchen sink. He wore shoe covers in the house which was greatly appreciated. It appears Mr. Ricker runs his business very professionally and trains his people well. And the big deal price was a great offer. They even offer a 90 day guarantee where I can call them back for additional service if needed. The appt setter called this morning to set up an appt for the outside but I told her I would call back. I think I need a morning appt so hopefully we can avoid the rain! Look forward to future dealings with this Angie's A-List service provider. Oh...Reggie was punctual even though I had made a typo on my address....great job, Reggie!!

The service was wonderful. After this initial service we signed a contract with them. When they had an employee who was not doing his job the owner respected the customer's opinion. This is one company in a million, which is hard to find.
