Description of Work: UPDATE TO ORIGINAL: I have had a conversation with Rick Ricker, and we have reached an agreement that we both believe will resolve the issue. I am updating my ratings of the company in light of the fact that they have made a good faith effort to address my concerns and to ensure that I am satisfied. All in all, the company remains very responsive and very concerned with their customers' satisfaction. While I still feel that I was given a certain expectation during the sales presentation, that's neither here nor there at this point, and the only thing to do now is to move forward and try to address the issue at hand. I believe that the company is doing everything within their power to do exactly that, and I would recommend them to anyone needing pest control. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I selected this company based on the multitude of positive comments on Angie's List. Unfortunately, my expectations have not been met, and I feel obligated to share my experience with others who may be considering the company. I purchased an annual pest control agreement from Rick Ricker in August 2012. The salesperson explained the products they used, why they were superior to others on the market, and assured us that our home would be rid of the pests we were having problems with. He gave every indication that it was reasonable to expect that the initial treatment would keep our home free of pests for at least a year and said that in the unlikely event that we needed additional treatments within a year of the purchase date, they would come out and re-treat our home with no further cost. To get right to the point of my dissatisfaction, they did come and treat our home initially, but they have had to return no less than 3 times to re-treat the house. And we STILL have pest control problems to this day. At this point, we have given up calling them to make additional appointments, as it has become apparent that no amount of re-treatment is going to resolve the problem. Four chances to get it right is more than fair, so we're done. That said, I'll give credit where credit is due: Ricker Ricker's customer service is excellent. They are very responsive, have made timely return appointments when requested with no problems, and have always been very punctual. However, the most important measure of any company with which one deals is invariably the quality of the good/service being purchased. And although it's unfortunate that I have to say this about an otherwise seemingly great company, Rick Ricker has fallen unacceptably short of our expectations when it comes to the quality of their service. We have no choice but to now look to their competitors to meet our pest control needs.

Description of Work: Had my house sprayed for a big ant problem. The company was very punctual on the initial visit and treated my house. The problem was greatly reduced but not completely fixed. We called and they came right out again, sprayed and got rid of the ants completely. I am very satisfied with the service I received and will use them again as the need arises.

Description of Work: Bought the Angie's lit big deal for pest control. We had a severe ghost ant problem. Rick rickers went above and beyond to take care of our problem. Noticing how severe the problem was after the initial treatment they scheduled a follow up appointment to come out and retreat. The problem is now under control. The team was very professional and I would recommended them !

Description of Work: Chris the service person was excellent. Took the time to explain the procedure. I am going to have to call them back so the true test will be in their responsiveness to a 2nd call. Now have "red ants" in the master bath! If they are as good on the 2nd call as they were on the first I would recommend this company to everyone.

Description of Work: When Rick Ricker came to my home the technition was not the most friendly, he came in and completed the service. After he left I realized that he scratched the paint surrounding my light switches and broke the drywall that covers my attic entrance. All of this damage was done and he never even mentioned a thing about it. I was very disappointed. I called with no resolve. Despite the problems that I had they provided good pest control so I decided to give them a second chance and I called them again to have them come out again and never got a call back as promised. When I called them they quoted me a different price with different services then I originally had. I mentioned that I was a previous customer and they did not seem to care or value me as a customer. I have given them 2 chances and they failed at both I will never be using them again.

Description of Work: Had drywood termites in my home, which was built in 1964. I have small animals and children so I did not want to go through "tenting " my house. They offered safer & organic ways to combat drywood termites and guaranteed their work. It took about 7 hours to complete the job. I would definitely use this company again and have a yearly contract with them. All I need to do is call them and they will be back if I see anymore termites or wings besides treating quarterly for $150/year. They are coming back for a 30 day post -treatment follow up next week.

Description of Work: I had a huge amount of swarming carpenter ants all inside my house and screened in porch. I had never seen them inside before this spring. Because these ants can destroy the wood in my home, I researched on Angie's List and found Rick Ricker. My best friend also recommended them because he had used them in Tampa for everything. I did not need termite control at this time. Had they found evidence of them, they would have informed me and I would have treated for them also. Overall, I am pleased with their quality of service. They even returned after 10 days when I had an additional swarming. Advice for the future: don't wait for the swarms of carpenter ants. If you see them crawling inside the garage and outside your doors, call Rick Ricker immediately. Don't wait.

Description of Work: I had a problem with carpenter ants they came out immediately and the only ants and/or bugs I see are the dead ones.

Description of Work: Injection of chemical in the walls. Educated myself on what to look for in case more termites showed up. Very effeicient, careful, respectful and prompt. Returned within a 30 day period to reinspect and retreat any areas needed. He even crawled under the home and treated that area as well. They offer a warranty that is renewable yearly and they guarantee their appication. Very pleased with the company from the first encounter with the receptionist to the person doing the treatment. A very nice christian young man.

Description of Work: We knew we had existing termites from mud trails near the garage door. Rick came to the house and explained the treatment and termite habits clearly. We were given the Angie's list discount. The workers came on time and did the outside job. A water pipe was drilled by mistake and the workers patched it. We were told how many gallons of our water was used to make the mix. When I found a locus of termite infestation in the house, workers came the next day and did an additional treatment at no charge. We will get regular pest control from this company, and Rick explained various treatment options since I am pesticide sensitive.

Description of Work: Rick was on time to give me an estimate and really impressed me with his knowledge of pests and their appropriate treatments. I have pets and felt very safe with the treatments he suggested. Our particular pest problem was ants inside and outside of our new home. Rick came back within a few days to perform the job with an associate and spent the good part of two hours checking and treating every possible crack and crevice. I would strongly recommend his company. He was professional, courteous, and on time! And the best part, no more ants!!
