+ -1 moreFirst of all, I would never let anyone but Chris clean my pond. I have had ponds since 2002 and have lost (11) imported Japanese koi due to pond guys not knowing Fish 101. Chris takes the same water from the pond and puts it in his temporary holding pond. He then captures my koi with a pillow case (much safer for the koi then a net). He does an excellent job cleaning my pond. Then, before he puts the koi back in my pond, he examines them for any ulcers, diseases, etc. He has a large koi pond himself and this is his hobby more than a job. He also did a much better job making my existing pond look the way that I wanted it to look.
Description of Work: Chris has redesigned my Koi pond and redesigned my other pond into a waterless pond. He also cleans my koi pond.

+ -1 moreBuilt Koi pond 7x11 x 2 feet deep inside of a screened lanai. Price included site prep (removal of pavers). Installed skimmer, pump, pipe, liner, filter, rock, landscape, electrical, 4 fish, aquatic plants. 6 months pond maintenance. Work was very satisfactory. Pond looks very natural. Lots of great compliments from friends and family. The water falls is great and 6 months later the fish are thriving. I'm very pleased with Mr. Patrick's work and would gladly recommend him to anyone interested in a good looking, well functioning Koi pond.

+ -1 moreThere is one guy, very high quality service, very professional guy, very knowledgeable. He is extremely intelligent. Most people might not know this but they are actually quite apparently inexpensive history making custom designed little pond with water fountain and everything and he said that he has been doing it since a reverse engineered pool parts to make it happen so he knows a lot of way he does.
Description of Work: I used Ponds Plus every single year for pond services. There are two things that they do for us – they custom designed and installed the pond on our property.

Description of Work: This service was to repair issues with an outdoor fish pond. One intake pipe for the pump system needed replacement, along with a check valve. I did not know that this was a problem. It was very valuable to have the serviceman point out that it was the main reason why the water flow stopped. After obtaining the proper parts, he replaced it quickly. There was also a problem with the pressure in the system. He identified it as caused by an old rubber gasket. Unfortunately, he returned later with the wrong sized gasket. He said that he would exchange it, but I never heard from him again. Finally, he recommended replacing the bulbs in the algae prevention lamps. However, after returning with the lamps, he realized that the old bulbs could not be removed due to changes to the fence mount. He never came up with a suggestion and just left me with the bulbs. I had hoped to find a service that would take care of periodic maintenance of the pond and the equipment. However, Ponds Plus did not perform to my expectations.

+ -1 moreWe needed to replace the liner in our pond after a tree fell in it and created a hole. We contacted Ponds Plus to come out and prepare an estimate for us. We had all of the material but just could not clear the time to install it ourself. Chris came out, took a look at the job, gave us some recomendations and forwarded us a quote the next day. We setup a date and time and he arrived promptly and worked like mad to avoid a coming rain storm. He did an excellent job getting the new liner in place, attached to the filtering gear and cut to size. Having done this myself with the original liner I knew and appreciated what hot and hard work it was. As a small business owner I really appreciate working with someone who is also working hard to try to please his clients and Chris does that. He is professional, fair and knows his stuff. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others. Great job!
Description of Work: Remove pond perimeter rocks. Lay new pond liner in place, cut to size and attach to filtration equipment. Reinstall pond perimeter rocks. Fill and test pond.

+ -1 moreWe were very satisfied with them. We spent a couple of thousand dollars on that work. They just did a very nice job of structuring the pond. Initially, when my wife was away they thought that they finished the work, but when she came back she told them that was not what we agreed on. They took it all apart and put back together exactly how she wanted it, without any complaints and I was impressed with that. We would definitely recommend them to a friend or family member looking to use them. Their pricing was high, but everything they did was well done.
Description of Work: We used Ponds Plus 1.5 or 2 years ago and they built a pond for us for the waterfall.

The best fix was to bring in 48,000 pounds of rock from Tennessee and place them along the pond bank with a large back hoe. Plants were added along with irrigation drip hoses. The work was done in the time agreed at as well as the cost. Chris was very professional and easy to talk to. We are very happy with his work!
