They were excellent. They came in the right hour when they said they would, they gave me a free estimate and wrote everything up. We are holding up on doing the work. They are responsive, i had a response back a few hours from contacting them.

Recommended by a co-worker, we reached out to Jason to provide one of the three quotes we had done. Jason came out, looked at the house, and provided thorough details to my wife as to the work he would do as part of the project. She reported back to me that she felt comfortable with him, and one of the other bidders (not the third). We received the quote, and his was a few hundred dollars lower either of the other two companies. . . to the point I called him to make sure it was covering the same body of work, as I was not expecting that large a difference in quotes. He assured me it was. The only difference was that the other two companies did a spray and backroll for two coats, and Jason does a full application roll for one coat. We called Sherwin Williams to find out if that made an impact on the warranty, and they said as long as the pre application was done (which one of the others said they did not use), that the longevity of the paint should be the same. They also said that the 10 year Sherwin Williams warranty is only if you do the work yourself, and that if a contractor does it, the warranty is through them, and not Sherwin Williams (also, news to us). Jason is a perfectionist. He would do a section, and my wife would go out and look at it, and it looked great to her. He would say he was not happy with parts, and re-paint it. He also painted our back porch, and we ran into the problem that it became very slick. He went back, mixed in some sharkskin grip additive, and re-painted the whole back porch for us, without any fuss. The only critique I have, and I would want to make sure people go into with eyes wide open is that Jason works on his own timetable. Overall, I think it took 3 weeks to have the project completed. Some of that was due to poor weather conditions. Jason would usually get to the house around 10:00 or so, and work till 3:00, and call it a day. While we were not in a rush, there were a few moments where we were frustrated that we could not just check the project off as done, and move on to the next thing. I think if you go in and either work with him and get a commitment on a timetable, or are just able to relax and be happy knowing that the work get done when it gets done, it will keep you as nothing but thrilled with the end result. So, I would say if you are looking for a spectacular job, at a very reasonable price, and have a little flex to your scheduling, Jason is your guy. We are thrilled with the results, and once our kids get a little older, will probably have him back out to do some work inside the home.

Because it is so hard to get contractors to come out and give estimates, I was pleasantly surprised dealing with JL Glatfelter. Jason called me back immediately, he came to give estimates and then booked me right away, and he also helped me to deal with a very upset moving/furniture company on my behalf in order to give them the damage information even though Jason's company may not have been the company chosen in the end.

It was much less money than I expected and he was very professional. It took him a only week. It was great. He pressure washed, then he sealed it after it dried.

I called Glatfelter Painting as I knew that not only would the drywall need to be repaired, the entire ceiling would need to be repainted. On the first call, Mr. Glatfelter setup an appointment for that afternoon to come look at the damage and give an estimate. He arrived on-time and was very courteous and personable. He did a thorough investigation of the issues by not only looking at the damage from below, but getting up in the attic to assess the situation as well. His estimates were very reasonable and I asked him to do the work as quickly as possible. He did have another job to finish up, but came back to the house in about 2 days to do the work. I was at work while he was doing the repairs, but after the first day, he had completely fixed the cracks and the sagging issues with the drywall. He had to return the next day to texturize and ultimately paint the entire ceiling. It is completely perfect now as you cannot tell that there was ever a problem. I also had a couple small jobs that Mr. Glatfelter was able to address... He replaced some of the fascia board that had rotted by my front door roof line (and of course painted it) and sealed a water leak in my garage. An overall Excellent Job!!
