It was a good experience. They definitely took care of the issue. I had used them multiple times in different occasions and everything. They are very friendly, agents were down to earth and took care of the situation, they listened to what I had to say and then were able to address the actual situation and fixed it rather than going around in circles. They were straight to the point and it was taken care of very quickly.

We bought an HP desktop computer from Best Buy in 2010. Worked fine until I started getting several warning messages from the computer about an imminent hard drive failure this spring. Fortunately, the warnings gave me enough time to back up everything. So that was good. I began researching computer repair service on Angie's list because I tend to prefer local service companies instead of Big Box stores, even though we purchased the computer from Best Buy. But I was getting discouraged. I checked out Baker Technical, Concept Satelling, Symba Systems, and so on. Either they did not call back or it turned out they were so far away (near the airport) that I wasn't sure it was the best thing to do.I could not readily find my paperwork from Best Buy, so I got basic information from the computer, went online, and ended up calling their 800 number. I didn't think any coverage remained from the original warranty, but it turns out, there was. From the beginning, everyone was helpful. There was a mistake or two along the way, but they went out of their way to make things right and provided great customer service from start to finish. The person on the 800- number call retrieved all my information and told me there was still hard drive coverage. I took it to the Wesley Chapel Best Buy (not the store where we bought it) and the young man who helped me was courteous and knowledgeable. But for a couple of things he wasn't sure about, he asked a colleague to make sure. Initially he thought they could do the repair in-house, but somewhere in the process they determined that HP required the computer be returned to them. Somewhere along the line they misplaced my operating system recovery disks. It was a simply human error and it resulted in my computer taking a few weeks longer than it should have to be returned to me. But the young man who had been working with me did not get defensive, and obviously worked hard to fix the problem. I also spoke with a store manager. Upon looking at the paperwork that I eventually found from my original purchase, I realized that the initial Best Buy person helped encourage us to get the hard drive coverage (I don't remember what it was called) -- it was a protection plan that obviously covers hard drives. We don't usually get extended warranties. I saw from my purchase notes that he highlighted what typically was worth getting vs. usually not worth it. So it turns out I have gotten good advice from Best Buy all along.
Description of Work: The hard drive on my HP desktop computer (HP) was about to fail. Best Buy Wesley Chapel ran diagnostics on the computer and ended up having to send it back to HP to replace the hard drive. There were a couple of hiccups along the way but they were minor and resolved fully. I would definitely go back and I recommend the staff at the Wesley Chapel store.

We purchased an Apple IPad and HP notebook computer. The computer had free Virus checker. Found out later it was for only six months. No one bothered to tell us that it wasn't for a year like any other software package. We make the purchase at Best Buy "only" because they offered 18 months, no interest, with low payments and we were assured that we could have this set up on auto debit from our checking account. I asked again and another salesperson confirmed that we could do this. I also asked at the customer service counter and was again told that we could use direct deposit just by setting it up on-line. Wrong!! Now the sale is done we are told "no" this cannot be done.We travel and to remember every month to pay this payment is a problem. If you miss a payment you get nailed with a ridiculous interest rate. We have them both setup and don't have the time to redo everything or we would return both of them.
