DLF did an amazing job painting the interior of our condo. The entire process went very smoothly - from the initial contact with Matt who provided the estimate and recommendations for paint finishes to Steve and the rest of the crew that did the painting. They were all very professional and the new paint job looks great. Highly recommended!

From start to finish experienced nothing but excellent communication, from when prep would begin to final touch ups. The guys cleaned up and/or located their equipment to a confined area daily. I was home on only 2 of the days work was being performed and each day was greeted with a handshake and given an update on progress and goals for the day. We chose colors that were in a completely different color family and was worried about color saturation but on final inspection could not be happier with the result! I am more than impressed and happy and would recommend over and over!

I've used this company before when I had my exterior painted a few years back. They were real good so I thought i'd give them a chance at one of the bids. Their price was good so i went with them and as before they were very professional and made sure i was happy with the job with every detail. Definitely would use them again.

Alan put all of our furniture and fixtures back after painting. He always called and said he was on his way. It rained a lot, so he had to work in between storms, but he still was able to finish on time.

Every step of the process going through DLF has been superb. The painter's were professional, kind and did an Awesome job! The house looks great! I'm a bit of a perfectionist and care about every detail and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend!!

Great. Tight budget and Very tight time frame. Jim was a joy to work with. Very responsive and able to find ways to get project done on time and meet the proposed budget. Crew of Allen and Frank were very hard working and the addition of Mike made everything possible.

Everything went pretty smooth from the initial phone call to set up an estimate to the painters making sure they took care of everything at the end before taking off. Very detail oriented with repairing the small holes on the walls and asked them to do the base as well since the new wall looked kind of silly without new paint on baseboard. Will definitely give them a call back when I'm ready for the other rooms to be refreshed.

The painters had no problem staying longer to do the trim and doors. They did not get any paint on the tile or carpet which is awesome since I rent not own. They were very courteous and respectful of my valuables when having to work around them. I can't wait for them to come back to do both bathrooms and kitchen in two weeks :)

After the same color on house for 10 years I decided to change it to a nice dark color and the shed in the back yard as well to match. The front door color I picked out ended up not being what I wanted and the painters gladly helped me pick a better choice that would coincide with the exterior and band color. They came back the next day after the first color dried to repaint it for me and it came out beautiful.

Unfortunately, things didn’t work out as planned or expected. When the painters arrived, we expected professional DLF painters to show up in a DLF truck ready to start the job; what we got was three subcontractors who showed up in a beat-up Chevy that do outdoor painting and (as we found out later) had never painted the interior before to do our job. As the job progressed, we discovered they not only had never painted the interior of a home before, but they knew almost nothing about how to prepare for the job, let alone complete it. We hired a general contractor to handle much of the other needed repairs for our home, and he had to take time from other projects in the home to instruct the subcontractors on how to remove wallpaper, had to waste valuable time actually mudding over the holes in the wall himself because the painters were so far behind on the job (they were supposed to start on Monday; they arrived Monday and did a walk-through, but didn’t actually start painting until Wednesday), had to show them how to do several different tasks, etc. In short, I had to pay my General Contractor extra to do work I contracted to DLF and to somewhat supervise DLF’s painters—and got to pay DLF for that work, too. Such a deal! While their subcontractors were on the job, no one from DLF ever appeared on the job site to check on their progress or see if we had any concerns. (No one from DLF has actually been to our home since the day they came to quote the job.) It might have been noteworthy for them to discover the job was behind schedule. It might have been noteworthy for them to learn their subcontractors showed for work no earlier than 10AM, made sure they took a lunch break every day, and left the job by 5PM, except for the last couple days, when they stayed later because it suddenly occurred to them they had a deadline and the new carpet was going to be delivered whether they were finished or not. DLF’s follow up after the job was finished was an email asking us to rate them on Angie’s List. Well, here you go, DLF. DLF also priced in the cost of the paint they intended to use on our job, which made perfect sense. However, they required their subs to buy the paint. Because the subs had to buy the paint, and the subs weren’t licensed on their own, the subs were paying retail instead of purchasing it at their contractor’s price. Nice! To reduce our cost, my GC again had to get involved and purchased the paint at his cost. DLF was generous to us for that—they priced in the cost of paint at their rate (or their sub’s retail cost), but only deducted from the final bill the actual cost we paid for the paint, as opposed to what they budgeted. I’m sure there’s a price difference there that ended up in DLF’s pocket. While we’re on this subject, DLF also repeatedly asked to have the paint colors 3 days prior to the start of the job. We raced all over to get the information, only to find out when they actually showed up and started painting (two days late), that they had only two gallons of paint (for a 2700 sf home). Fortunately, this mistake helped us to minimize the paint cost through our GC. Before they started painting, my General Contractor asked them if they planned to prime the walls first. They stated that it wouldn’t be necessary. As it turned out, now that the job’s finished and we’ve moved in, we’re seeing the original paint bleeding through and blotchiness because they didn’t prime the walls first. We’ve also discovered all sorts of errors, mistakes, general sloppiness, places they missed altogether, gouges in the walls from using metal scrapers instead of plastic to remove the wallpaper and subsequently failing to repair the wall damage before they painted over it, places where the walls had been mudded that they painted over without sanding, paint and mud spatter on the floors because they didn’t use a drop cloth, poor cut-ins, and more. Some examples include, in the master bedroom, they painted additional coats of paint over walls where the previous coat was still wet. We’re now 5 weeks past the completion of the paint job, and a couple days ago, I leaned a mirror against the wall as I was preparing to install it over the dresser. The paint stuck to the mirror and peeled off. In one of the bathrooms we have plantation shutters over the window for privacy. They never opened the shutters to paint the wall behind them. Additionally, the painters had no clue how to clean up after themselves. Where they did sand the mud, they left the dust on the floor. (You can bet that did wonders for the baseboards they were supposed to be painting.) Where they scraped wallpaper off the wall, they left pieces of it all over the place, including in the lighting, windows, tub, shower, and the floors. (And some small pieces on the walls, which of course, they simply painted over.) They never replaced a single switch plate or outlet cover, and it took us a week to find where they hid the hinge pins so we could re-install the doors back in the master bedroom and bathroom. We found screws and plates all over the house, including in the trash. We still don’t know if we found them all, but it’s my bet that in the end, we’ll have to buy some replacements. You would think that a professional company would, upon receiving complaints about their job, be concerned enough to come take a look and see for themselves and try to work with you to resolve the issues. Nope, not a chance with these guys, even though I sent them this review (now slightly updated) three weeks ago to give them an opportunity to make adjustments/corrections so they could avoid a bad review. When I spoke to the sales rep, Jim, he said he had to talk to the owner to see about it. We’re still waiting to hear back. Obviously, they just don’t care about the quality of their work after you signed off on their little form. In short, we paid a lot of money to get an interior paint job done at a quality level that wasn’t as good as I could have done myself—and I’m a lousy painter. Needless to say, I can’t see letting them do the exterior work after my experience here—even if takes longer for the job to get done, I’ll let my GC handle it. Sorry, DLF. You’re fired.

Very professional the workmanship is outstanding. The staff and the owner are very professional and tends to all my needs during the process. In fact I have hired them to paint the interior and exterior of my new house. I highly recommend them.

DLF was by far the BEST at provided premier Customer Service, I have never worked with a company that was more accommodating, quick, or professional... Hands down the best company I've ever dealt with... I will be keeping their card for sure!!!!

The moment I met Jim (the estimator/customer liason), he handed me a folder containing the insurance and license information for DLF. I was immediately impressed, since none of the other dozen or so painters I called did that. His quote included EVERYTHING that was necessary, including replacement of any pool screens that would need to be cut, trimming back any hedges around the house, pressure washing, stucco patches and of course, the painting. Most other companies were not able to "do it all" - which would have left me hiring additional contractors. Jim was ALWAYS available by phone, text or e-mail to answer my many questions. He was an absolute pleasure to work with! Jim and the entire crew went the extra mile to help us find and complete the wall repair that was needed. I called at least 30 contractors in the area, many of whom never returned my call (unfortunately, this part of the process took about 3 weeks, by no fault of anyone). The few that did quoted ridiculous amounts for a small 4'x6' wall repair (upwards of $6,000). I finally had my carpenter (shout out to SWS Carpentry) demo the old stucco and replace the rotted wood. Then Jim's crew came out and installed the new lathe and stucco (Alan). This was at an additional cost from the original quote, obviously, but was significantly less than the $6,000 quotes I had previously gotten. A few days later the house was pressure washed and the painting began (Steve)! The entire house was DONE in about 3 days. The crew was very professional and courteous. Steve, the painter, said he has been painting for around 35 years. The man knows paint! Our house looks AMAZING and I would hire them again in a second. They did not have the lowest bid, but also not the highest. The quality, however, was highly rated! Worth every penny!

Don't waste your time!! 3 weeks late, rescheduled twice, sent incompetent subcontractors. Damaged my brand new floors in front of me with no apology. The salesman Jim started strong. He showed up quickly and gave an aggressive timeline to complete within a week as we had company coming. We hired him same day, then all the promises were broken: he rescheduled twice and after 3 weeks of being strung along he sent me some random people that were not the painters we were promised. Jim the salesman sent a horrible subcontractor, "Bill" and his girlfriend. As soon as they got in the house they started complaining about the timeline and the job to me. When I called Jim within an hour of them arriving to tell him to ask for help, he told me he would make it right. He never called me back. During this time, Bill scratched my floors by dragging heavy furniture across. I pointed it out and he didn't apologize or offer a solution. They made more of a mess than anything. In a last attempt to correct the situation I reached out to the owner "Dale" because surely this isn't how he expects his Angies List highly rated business run. When I called and made it clear I didn't want to speak to the salesman anymore, his secretary took a message. Dale never called me back, rather the salesman, Jim called and was unapologetic and tried to talk me into keeping the bad painters. We fired them that night and hired a REAL company and the job was completed in under a week. Steer clear of these people.

They were on time, fast and efficient and results were great. We had just finished remodeling and they came and did the main area. We like the work so well that we hired them back to do two other areas of the house. Will definitely use again.

We have used DLF in the past for both exterior and interior painting. They are easy to work with and always do a great job!! I would highly recommend!!

DLF team did a fabulous job. They were prompt, reliable, friendly and very knowledgable. The results were excellent. We are very happy and satisfied with the results.

They had painted our old home too--twice--about 7 years apart. All 3 times it was a great job and a fair price. I'd definitely recommend them. No complaints at all.
