Everything from the estimate to the painting and clean up was very professional. Jim explained everything very well and the work was performed on the schedule we discussed. After the house was pressure washed, Jim agreed that some of the painting originally discussed was not necessary. Jim very fairly decreased the quoted price and/or did extra work where he felt necessary. Overall, I am very happy with the work performed.

Jim was one of several estimates I obtained for the exterior painting of my home. He was prompt in his response to my initial contact, within minutes in fact. We set up a date and time for the estimate and he showed up exactly on time. Jim was professional, obviously knowledgeable about his trade and freely offered ideas and options for the work. He always answered phone calls within minutes. I did not choose to use Jim this time around but would definitely consider using him in the future and would not hesitate to refer him based on our interactions and his professionalism. Jim exemplifies what Angie's List is all about.

I couldn't have found better service. The two gentlemen who did the work were very polite, quiet and never seemed to tire. The work was done neatly and they left no mess behind. I must also mention the owner, Dale, who selected the best paint (Behr Marquee) for our interior. Our house looks new, and that's saying a lot because we had to have a lot of stucco repair done before painting. The stucco was very well done by another contractor, and the paint job just makes our house stand out in the crowd. I highly recommend DLF Professional Painting.

I gave the responsiveness a B because the painter is in high demand and has a lead time of 6-8 weeks. I was not in a hurry so this isn't a complaint. It is a positive thing. Jim cleaned, caulked minor masonry cracks and painted the fascia, soffits, front door and the masonry and masonry trim in two days. There was no over painting on windows, fences or fixtures and details like the weather stripping were removed before painting. The hue was the original color (3 colors) and so that makes things a little easier. I am please with the results.

Jim, the DLF proprietor, couldn't fit us into his own schedule, but we assume that his own work must be good because his subcontractor did an excellent job ... and then some. The painting itself took two days, and the workmanship was excellent. Steven Hayner, it turned out, is also a journeyman electrician, so we hired him to do a couple of electrical wiring jobs we needed done, and he did a great job of those, too. For painting, we'd use DLF again. For electrical work, we'd definitely rely on Steven.

I am not the easiest person to be satisfied and am extremely critical of any service or product I purchase. Having said that, the house looks awesome. It was about 8 weeks from the time I accepted the quote to the time they painted my home. Much of that delay was related in part to how busy they are and to the constant rain that seemed to occur on a daily basis over the same period. But I can honestly say they were worth the wait and required no deposit. When they started the job they were prompt, professional and very thorough. Took three days to complete. They were not the cheapest quote I got, but were very competitively priced. I would say the quality of service to price ratio was very good. I certainly got my money's worth. It is so nice to drive up to my home day after day and be impressed with the transformation they made occur in the looks of my home. Great job guys!!!

Jim is super friendly and professional. He is easy to get a hold of and kept me informed at each step along the way. His estimate was very fair and not too much higher than the lowest bidder. These are the reasons I hired him over everyone else I interviewed for the job (at least 8 other companies): First, he was THE ONLY ONE who respected my time/schedule. He actually showed up on time, as promised, in person. There was only one other person who was willing to work with my schedule to meet with me in person, and that person only showed up after canceling our first appointment and no-showing the second one. The others, they didn't want to wait until I got off work, just said "I'll just drop by and email you an estimate and you can call me with questions." By far, Jim's customer service trumped everyone else's. I really appreciate that. Also, Jim was the only one who gave me a nice, professional looking estimate on the spot and in paper in a nice folder! No one else did that. I had to wait several days for quotes from everyone else and they all came electronically (that part was ok, but Jim's folders are very nice and professional looking). And...Jim was the only one who followed up with me after our initial visit. It seemed like no one else really cared whether or not they got my business. He also remembered everything we talked about, even though a month had gone by since we first talked. Those little things make me feel like I'm not just another faceless customer. A++++++++++ I highly recommend "Jim the Painter" and will hire him again in the future!

They did an amazing job. They contacted me to come out in advance to pressure wash the house and set up the painting times. They came out the following Monday and began the job. They worked quickly, did a great job, and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves.

Using Angie's List recommendations for a painter, we obtained 4 estimates to paint the exterior of our home. After some deliberation, my wife and I chose DLF and called Jim the Painter to confirm dates. In three days, Jim and his help managed to pressure wash the house and paint the entire house. Jim answered all of my questions with regards to the treatment of settling crack/sealant and did a meticulous job of giving our home a new look. Thanks!

Jim was the first one to provide a quote, had the best price and a fantastic attitude. You can tell that he really likes his work, and he takes pride in what he does. They arrived on time, and completed on time and did a great job. I would definitely recommend DLF to anyone else looking to get the exterior of their home painted.

Jim arrived on-time for the quote and was friendly and helpful. He explained the entire process and gave us a quote on the spot, which was in-range with our other quotes. Although he was 5-6 weeks booked, we decided to wait and are happy we did. Jim's calm, confident demeanor and attention to detail made the process effortless. He arrived to start on a Wednesday and was done by Monday painting our two-story 3500sqft house. The house looks brand new. Everything went smoothly and just as Jim had explained. These guys had the cheaper of the estimates I received. Took a while to coordinate schedules and weather but worth the wait. House looks great and I'd highly recommend

Jim was very nice and gave me the best quote out of the 3 Angies list painters I contacted. He was booked a few weeks out which was not a problem for me. I expected to have to repeat myself when the time came to start painting but surprisingly he remembered every single little thing we talked about in the initial meeting a few weeks earlier. Jim and his partner did an excellent job, every line is straight and everything we talked about was completed better than expected. I will definitely use his services again.

They were very prompt in returning my initial call and were out to provide a detailed written estimate within days. I was very satisfied with the attention to detail in the estimate. We scheduled a mid September date but I was needed to delay the date due to vacation plans. They were very accommodating to change the date. They called a few days prior to confirm and on the first day where out early in the morning to pressure wash the house. As an added bonus for Angie's list members they would pressure wash the driveway. In addition they also washed the entire sidewalk. We are on a corner lot and they did over 300 feet of sidewalk as an extra bonus. The actual painting started on day two. They taped all the windows, doors, concrete areas on the front and side of the house. Everything was painted very professionally. Days two and three were focused on the other side of the house and the back side which included a large patio. Also painted was the patio floor and front entrance. The whole job exceeded our expectations. A neighbor has since stopped by and I gave him a thumbs up to using DLF to paint his house. They get an A++ for their work.

We called 5 painters/co for estimates. 3 were off of Angies List. Jim Koys was the person who came out from DLF. He is a co-owner, as I understand. He was very professional and answered my questions, clearly. As an Angies List member, I was offered a free pressure washing of our driveway. I asked if, instead, I could just have that cost removed from our paint estimate. He did it. Very nice. All 5 estimates included pressure washing, sealing, painting and all materials needed. Knowing that paint and sealer costs vary, we broke it down into materials and labor costs. Some painters roll paint and some spray paint, and estimates varied because of that. DLF quoted a spray paint job and their estimate was $700 - $1100 less than the others in labor costs alone! We were unsure if we wanted to spray or roll. Jim said he could do either and priced it accordingly. After endless online searches, we discovered that on stucco, with good paint and a good painter, spraying works great. So, because of Jim's professionalism and estimate, and because of his A Angie's List Rating, we chose him. The only thing we needed next, was to choose a paint. We ended up upgrading to a SW SuperPaint, and paid the difference per gallon. The job was done in a timely manner, 3 days. Clean up was complete. The crew consisted of Jim and one other, both were professional and worked quietly. The day after the job was done, I called Jim to tell him that I wasn't happy with the paint color of the trim. No problem. I went back to SW and chose another color and back they came! Now, it looks perfect! Note: Our total estimates (with materials) varied from $2400 - $4400, for the same house! How? I would highly recommend calling DLF for an estimate!

Jim the Painter was fantastic. I initially called to get an estimate and Jim had to follow up since he was in the middle of another job. Jim called me back and made a time for the estimate. Originally I was on a business call when he arrived, but since it was an exterior paint job, he said he would still do the inspection and provide me with a quote. We worked out the estimate and shortly agreed on the deal a couple of days later. Jim was very open and honest letting me know that we were about five weeks out due to all the other jobs ahead of us. As we came closer to the date, he called and left messages on where we were on the list when he could not speak to me directly. Jim and the team arrived on a Friday to power wash the house and driveway. The crew returned Saturday to begin the job and wrapped up by Monday afternoon. They did a phenomenal job, very professional. They ensured everything was prepped properly and cleaned up everything when they left. There was not one thing left behind or needing to be cleaned up once they were gone. We have gotten tons of compliments on the paint job and a few of our neighbors asked for their card while they were working on the house. I will recommend Jim and DLF painting to anyone looking for experienced, professional painters. It was truly a pleasure to work with them and I look forward to not only recommending them, but having them back for some of my other painting needs.

I called and asked for a quote. I was not in a hurry - my bad, should stop telling people that! He came out approximately 2-3 weeks after I called. I was not home at the time and a note was left on my door that stated "I will be sending your bid via email by Monday". Since four Mondays have passed and I haven't received a quote or heard from him, I figure I should provide a review. So there you have it - no response. Disappointed! UPDATE 8/12/13-I received a quote from Dale! There were some issues with hotmail in getting the attachment the first few go rounds but gmail accepted it. The quote came in shortly after my post here. There may have been an issue with email from the get go as he sent a screen shot of the original email, but I never received that email (dated 7/5/13). He followed up with me again last week, but was traveling so didn't have a chance to get with him until today. I have not moved forward with the painting yet, as I am on eternal hold from approval from my HOA.

I communicated with Jim for over a year and solidified all of the plans with him to have this company take care of the cleaning, sealing and painting exterior of my home and seperate small utility building. The delay was from the problems with my HOA concering approved colors. Jim assured me that He and another person would be painting my house. He emphasized that they were a team of two that took care of the jobs. I was Shocked when the day came to discover that Jim was on another job site and that he would not be painting my home! I use Angie's List for referrals and the reason I selected this Company was directly from the referrals for Jim. Each one listed him as the painter who performed the work. Dale was the man at my home. I didn't see one referral with his name on it. This felt like a bait and switch maneuver. I called Dale and expressed my concerns. I also asked him if Jim had explained everything that we agreed upon. Although Dale was very nice and my tenant confirmed that he did a great job he wouldn't have had to return a few weeks later to secure the soffitt and facia that needed to be secured prior to painting since securing it was also verifying that there wasn't any other areas of wood that needed to be replaced.

They were good. Reliable and fairly honest.

I would highly recommend DLF Painting. I obtained 4 quotes and DLF was very competitive. While other contractors were competitive in price, I chose DLF because I felt Jim was very honest and trustworthy. I was right! Jim was extremely helpful, courteous, and professional. He is very reliable and does high quality work. He also gave me great advice on color selection.

Jim arrived on time to give me an estimate, listened to my needs & concerns, and spent time looking at my house and talking to me about the job. He prepared and gave me an estimate before he left. One of the things I was looking for was a contractor who could also repair a broken window sill on the side of the house. The concrete "lip" had broken off, and I just wanted it smoothed off and patched before being repainted. He said "no problem", and I'm not sure if he even charged me for it in the bid. Other bidders, with higher bids, said they couldn't do it. When my job came up in Jim's schedule, he showed up early on day 1 and pressure washed the entire house. That was a Friday. The following Monday morning, Jim and his helper arrived early, made the window sill repairs, and painted the entire house that day. They did a beautiful job, cleaned up after themselves, and were gone before most of my neighbors got home from work. Really surprised some of them! Jim did a beautiful, professional job, and we couldn't be happier with DLF Painting Services. I'll definitely call them again in the future!
