DAVE'S HOME HELPER

Description of Work: Dave's Home Helper is the installer for Lowe's. Dave installed our whole house gas generator, Generac. The generator and installation were listed on the same Lowe's invoice.

Description of Work: Called for an estimate on Jan. 14, 2011. Rob, the estimator came promptly. He took pictures, we talked about specifically what I wanted done for this Stucco Repair job. Estimate emailed to me Jan. 20, 2011. I asked for a clarification of work to be done. DID NOT dicker on price at all. Rob responded promptly by email, explaining most like a less expensive fix. I, in turn responded via email, stating very specifically what I wanted accomplished and asked for a quote update. Rob came out to site a second time for visual clarification and more pictures he submitted a second quote on Feb 24 (higher cost, but that was never an issue). The estimate STILL DID NOT include the work he and I specifically discussed. On Feb 25, I laid out in greater detail the work to be done and said "I accept your proposal" and for him to come for his deposit check. He was, at that time to submit a copy of his General Liability and Workmens' Comp Insurance policy declaration pages. HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HIM SINCE THEN. PS - I am a retired General Contractor of 35 years and a former Building Inspector. I also am an owner of several commercial buildings (Block & Stucco) in NJ.

Description of Work: Replaced rear door, drywalled two areas, one in dinning room and the other in the kitchen. The work was done correctly except when they replaced the door they had to come back and put a larger threshold on the floor. I had to call them back for this but they did respond right aways and did a very nice job.
