Description of Work: We just needed an a/c tune up as we hadn't had our unit serviced since purchase in 2012. We bought a package with freeon but we didn't need it. Unfortunate to lose the extra money but it wasn't their fault, I bought the deal assuming we needed it. They guy was super friendly. Explained why needing the freeon is a bad thing, it means there is a leak. He looked around and gave us a few tips to make an already efficient system work even better for us. He went out of his way to be helpful and teach us about our unit and upkeep. | |I lowered my responsiveness as they took a while to get back to me after I provided a few available dates for us. When I finally called they realized their mistake and came out immediately after regular hours to make it up to us. It was great and not necessary but definitely appreciated. The guy showed up 20 minutes into the 2 he window, which was also a huge bonus (I typically don't expect service people until hour 5 of the 4 hr window -major plus for them there).

All Florida Appliance was dispatched by my Home Warranty Company "Old Republic" to repair my washing machine. It took them four days to setup the appointment to look at my machine. Once here they determined it needed a new controller board and said they would have to order it out of Jacksonville FL and should have it in two days. I called a week later and they stated they still had not received. My washer is a Sears Model, so I checked on line and I could order the part and have it shipped the next day. I contacted my home warranty company and told them to dsipatch someone else. They sent another company, one that I had used previously, and they also determined it needed the controller board. Two days later they were back with the part and my washer has been operating ever since. One month later All Florida called to let me know they finally received the part and wanted to know when they could come out and install it. You can image where I told them they could put the part and that my home warranty company set a real company over to repair my washer.I would not recommend using All Florida Appliance at all!!

Our a/c unit died and All Florida was the company selected by our home buyers warranty. It took days for the first tech to visit and determine a hole had rusted through the coil. We thought the parts were being ordered and they would be back soon. Three weeks later we had to call to find out what was up. Parts had not been ordered and they had not gotten back to the warranty co for authorization yet. Finally got that resolved after calling the warranty company. Technician is professional and competent, but was an hour later than expected. He worked quickly and did good work. He gave some tips to keep system working best also. To save us paying for a disposal fee ($80 not covered by the warranty) I told them an a/c tech I know would pick up the old coil to dispose of it. It was ok with the warranty co, but All Florida said they needed to have someone call me right back about it. Three hours later, no one from All Florida would talk to me. Messages relayed via the technician were that it was not company policy and that the warranty company would not allow it. When Ilsan (the technician) had finished work, we still had not talked with anyone from All Florida. He called his supervisor on his cell phone and let me talk with Sam. I explained my situation and what I wanted to do but he would not let the coil be left here. He said he'd have to report it to the warranty co and they would probably bill me for the disposal. I did not want to do that - only adds work and saves nothing. He told me he'd call the warranty co but called the technician back. Ilsan was directed to change the bill to remove the disposal fee. I am hoping the warranty company does not come after me for the fee and that All Florida actually agreed to cut the fee out. I apologized to Ilsan for this trouble delaying him over a half hour from getting to his next job and home for the night. He left here at 7:30 PM. He was polite and helpful in resolving the matter even though he did not have any authority to decide the resolution. The technician gets an A for professionalism, quality and responsiveness, C in punctuality (but it may not be his fault). All Florida gets a D to F in professionalism, punctuality and responsiveness. Price? I don't mind paying for services I need or request. But I question the validity of the expenses billed. Bottom line: All Florida has some good, qualified, professional technicians. I am left severely wanting by the main office, management, work order processing and customer service. :(
Description of Work: Troubleshoot lack of cooling in a/c unit. Determined there was a hole in the coil inside the house. Took 1-2 hrs. Second visit to install replacement coil. Took 4 hrs. Warranty covered cost of coil and service. $90 was refrigerant recovery fee (even though most had leaked out the coil hole long ago).

This was one of the first major repairs jobs I had gotten authorization on after returning to All Florida after a brief absence. I did get the authorization for the job after spending a bit of time trying to locate the evap coil along with the part number and cost as requested by the warranty co. I was given authorization to replace the coil AFTER the homeowners warranty company called them with the "non-covered" charges of $170 and the homeowner APPROVED those charges. The recovery and disposal of the refrigerant (which also includes the vacuum at the end of the job) is necessary even when there is "no refrigerant" in the system to remove impurities and moisture from the system, and also the proper disposal of the evap coil itself, which are standard charges that go along with any major repair of an air conditioning and heating system. I remember speaking with the homeowner regarding her concerns on the disposal and she was trying to get us to let her "friend" do the disposal, this is AFTER she has approved the non covereds. I explained to her that is not acceptable, we are responsible for every portion of the job. The appointment was set for an AFTER 2PM appointment, I don't see how the tech was late to this appointment, I have documentation that I called the homeowner at 3:15PM to let them know the tech was on the way. It wasn't until AFTER the actual installation of the coil that she refused to pay the technician. Ihsan called me, I called our supervisor, Sam spoke with the technician, I'm not sure what the instructions were, but I do know when I called the homeowner they didn't answer, I left a message and never received a call back. I ended up having to call the homeowners warranty company about the issue and they did allow us to send them the bill for the non covered charges that the homeowner refused to pay. All Florida did NOT waive the charges, the homeowner just refused to pay, and we did end up billing the warranty company .

Phenomonal! This guy is great. I highly recommend him. I’ve had other companies do the same type of work that charged a lot of money and didn’t really do anything. This technician found the real issue of my problem (up in my attic) and took this. Now the unit is working great. He was very pleasant, nice, and really took his time. I'm happy with his services.

If there were an option for anything worse than an F, this company would get that rating. We had a very poor experience with them. Our air conditioning was not cooling the house. We were referred to this company through our home warranty service. We made an appointment, and they called to say they had cancellations and needed to come earlier. We could not accommodate and asked to keep our set appointment time. They said they could not come at our set time, and that if we did not let them come earlier, it would be the next day. We agreed ... even though it was Easter day. The technician arrived two hours after they called and told us he was on his way. He finally arrived and seemed irritated to even be here. He hooked up a gage to the unit and confirmed what we thought -- which was that the unit needed freon. He informed us that he did not have any freon on his truck. Very surprising, since we told Melissa that the problem was likely low freon. Why would you send a technician without the proper equipment? And by the way, he said he wasn't even a technician, just an employee. To top it all off, when we told him we were not happy with the situation nor the service this company provided, he laughed, got in his truck, and left. This is the worst and most unprofessional service we've had from any company we've dealt with. Terrible.

I (Melisa) would like to take this time to apologize. For the customer that wrote the this review, I remember this as if it were yesterday. I know you did tell me the unit may have been low on freon. But being the fact that my technician ran over 15 emergency calls and used up all there freon over the weekend and unable to refill until monday, I still decided to send him anyways because like you said "you THINK it was low on freon" so I took it upon myself to send him to look at your unit (and you agreed), so at least we knew what we were looking at. And I made the right choice because you did'nt need freon you had a leak in your coil which requires a leak search and you decided not to wait for us to preform the leak search. And my TECHNICIAN (not employee) smiled and left because you were mad that you had to wait for the dye test results to come back, which can take 2 days, and that is beyond our control but he smiled and walked away because you cursed at him and refuse to pay your deductible, on top of kicking him out. So of course he will leave. So once again I apologize for any misscommunication

Our house main air conditioner went dead on a Friday evening...about the worst time it could happen. We called American Home Shield (AHS), our home warranty provider, to request emergency service because temps were 95+ and we have an elderly family member. AHS did NOT do a good job for us and after many phone calls over the weekend and broken promises, we were told on Sunday that All Florida Appliance would be our provider on Monday. I didn't hear from All FL early on Monday and when I called them they were still going through various emails. I finally did get a call about mid-morning and was told a repairman would be at the house at about noon. The repairman arrived on time, immediately identified the problem as a bad capacitor, installed a new capacitor and had it running quickly. At my request, he also checked the Freon charge and operation of the unit. He did a thorough exam and found all in good working order. The technician was fast, knowledgeable and thorough. Overall, an excellent experience.

THIS COMPANY SENT BY MY HOME WARRANTY COMPANY. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL. SAID REPAIR WAS EASY, THEN UNABLE TO OPEN DISHWASHER DOOR SO HE USED A SCREWDRIVER TO TRY AND PRY THE DOOR OPEN, IN DOING SO PRIED AROUND IN THE CONTROL PANEL ON THE FRONT OF THE DISHWASHER. SAID WHEN HE GOT HOME HE WOULD GET ON THE INTERNET AND FIND OUT HOW TO OPEN THE DISHWASHER DOOR AND THEN ORDER THE PART AND CALL ME. ONE WEEK LATER HE HAD NOT CALLED. I ENDED UP PURCHASING A NEW DISHWASHER. MY WARRANTY COMPANY WOULDN'T PAY BECAUSE HE TOLD THEM NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON A DOOR HANDLE NOT A BROKEN INTERNAL LATCH. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

OVERAL EXPERIENCE WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. THE TECHNICIAN THEY SENT WAS RUDE, UN-PROFESSIONAL, AND INCOMPETENT. HE SPENT MOST OF HIS TIME OUTSIDE TALKING ON HIS CELL PHONE TRYING TO GET SOME ONE ELSE TELL HIM WHAT HE SHOULD DO. WHEN HE FINALLY THOUGHT IT WAS THE VALVE, HE DIDN'T HAVE THE PART. HE RETURNED A WEEK LATER WITH THE WRONG PART. WHEN HE DID GET THE RIGHT PART, HE RETURNED (AFTER 2 MONTHS) AND INSTALLED IT. WHEN HE TESTED THE WASHER WITH THE NEW VALVE, HE SAID IT WAS FIXED. I TESTED THE WASHER IMMEDIATELY AFTER HIS DEPARTURE AND IT WAS STILL NOT FIXED. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
Description of Work: MAYTAG WASHER WAS NOT CONTROLLING THE HOT WATER FLOW. IT WAS HOT AT ALL TEMPERATURE SETTINGS. THE VALVE ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED, BUT THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I ENDED UP FIXING THE WASHER MYSELF.
