1st Choice A/C Inc

We've been using 1st Choice A/C for the past 12 years for various A/C issues from just adding Freon to replacing a fan motor and a compressor. Our unit is 22 years old, and thanks to James, it is still going strong and will freeze you out in a heartbeat. James has always returned calls within an hour or so and usually comes out the same day. He is extremely professional and clearly knowledgeable in the HVAC field. We would never consider using anyone else for our A/C repairs, in fact I recommend him to family and friends when they have A/C problems. If we ever need to replace our unit, 1st Choice A/C will get our business, as always!

James arrived promptly, quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the capacitor. We found James to be a very skilled professional and would definitely use 1st Choice AC Inc. again for our AC needs. Our service was paid by our warranty company. We paid our $100.00 deductible. We would recommend 1st Choice AC Inc. to our neighbors and friends.

Bad, here's why....Placed a service call via Sears Home Warranty. They sent out 1st Choice. I called and got a hold of James. My first red flag should been the loud noise of children in the background. My second red flag should have been when he asked me if thought he really needed to come out. When he arrived, I explained the problem to him. He somewhat checked out the compressor, and located a broken plastic cover on the relay. He removed the screws holding the remaining pieces, and closed it up. Why he didn't replaced the relay switch is beyond me, I'm under warranty. He then pushed on the safety fuse, and then proceeded to use a screwdriver on it, while power was on. Not sure that's a great idea and said it was loose. He never climbed up and checked out the air handler, nor did he go inside and check the thermostat. Next morning, same issue. I have a Nest thermostat. I received a notice from it stating there was an issue with my system, and to run diagnostics from the thermostat. I did as instructed, and then called Nest Support, and sure enough, it was a bad intermittent thermostat. Nest over knighted a new one, and I have had no issues since then. So, I called and filed a grievance with Sears regarding the service call. I would not recommend 1st Choice AC to anyone based on this visit.

The work was done on time and was professionally done. Several days later, when a minor, slightly different issue came up with the same unit, they promptly came back out and fixed the issue in very little time and at no additional cost to us. Highly recommended!

My air is working perfectly! I have called Mr. Miley (James) several times over the past few years. James never gives me a "doom and gloom" story about my 21 year old system, he works on keeping it working! He is friendly, fair, reliable, and professional.

We have had the privilege of working with James for almost five years. He has always gone above and beyond to help us, even during his extremely busy times. We have an older unit, and James always got it working as good as possible. Last year we had a freon leak, and James was able to replace a component so that it worked even better than it had prior to the leak. This year, his service call included checking all of the components and cleaning it so it worked properly. He is friendly, kind and fair. We are grateful to have found James.
