This company is not respectable. After the first year on monitoring was paid and received. A another 2 year contract (saving money) was signed. Shortly after, the 80 year old women had a heart attack and was required to move in with her daughter. We attempted to cancel the service, the company refused and hassled her continuously. Now she was turned over to collection, who continue to hound her. Did I mention she is 80 years old and had a heart attack. The company is impossible to work with, people are shameless. Go else where.

When we tried to get Monitronics to change over the contract into our names so that we could assume the contract it was horrible. They checked our credit and said no problem you can take over the contract. They said all they had to do was come out and change the code. I made the appointment to have the come to change the code. This was me sitting in an empty house for six hours. So I called them and they said that they did not come out because they hadn't changed the contract over yet. I said I thought you supposedly changed the contract last week. They said sorry, sorry we will get it changed and be back out. Then the third time I talked to them they said I had to make a complete application for credit. I told Monitronics to forget it I am calling another company. I wrote a letter to the previous owner and said I am sorry I tried to make this work out and it did not. The more I talked to this company it was like the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing.
