Leak Free Pool and Spa

I contacted this vendor for pool leak detection around mid-February 2015 using a local social media coupon (cost $130). I thought that my pool water usage was excessive, but was uncertain whether the pool was leaking or it was loss due to evaporation. I arranged to have the vendor meet me at a certain time/day, but on the appointed day he didn't show at the time he promised, so I called him, and he apologized that he was running late with another job so asked if we could reschedule. I did reschedule, and he didn't show at the newly appointed time, so I called and he said he was on the way. He showed up about an hour later. He did his testing and concluded that there were many areas around the skimmer and steps where the grout was missing and allowing water to leak. He said he was 90% certain that this was the cause of my water loss. He offered to repair the leaks for $400 and guaranteed it would no longer leak. I agreed to this, and arranged for him to come back for the repair. He returned as promised, emptied the pool to a very low level, then spent several hours re-grouting the entire tile and skimmer area with both grout and hydraulic cement. As an added bonus, he also replaced a few broken/missing tiles without charge. The pool walls look so much better and clean. I wanted to wait awhile before posting this review to see that my pool is no longer leaking. Now that a couple of weeks have passed, I feel comfortable to say that the work performed resolved my water-loss situation. It may take many months before I recoup the cost of the repair from lowered water bills, but at least the nuisance of continually filling the pool is a thing of the past. If this vendor was better organized, and had the courtesy to initiate a call his customers to advise them when he might be late for an appointment, he could earn a better rating.
