They arrived on time and immediately began cutting my grass, though I was in the house, not in view, preparing for a business meeting. When driving down the driveway, I saw Rachel, one of the owners, mowing the lawn with a child on her lap. I thought this was very unprofessional and a liability, but I was in a rush to get to my meeting. Upon my return home, I looked at the grass that looked as if it had been butchered. The mower didn't bag or mulch and left a thick carpet of cut grass covering the good grass. There were numerous patches of grass that had been missed - so many, I've hired another landscaper to come and remow. The other land scaper, upon viewing the job they did, was equally as critical. After seeing my lawn, a friend of ours, Kathy (who is a property manager) asked their name so she would never hire them The grass was cut FAR too short than what it should be in the summer. Because the blades were set so low, the blades scalped some of the contoured portions of the property. The grass was not cut in straight lines or following the contours of the property. It looked as if the person cutting the grass was weaving, however, it's no doubt due to the enjoyment of the young passenger that was riding. I sent a polite and professional letter to the owners telling them of my concerns, as well as photos of the thick carpet of cut grass and missed patches of lawn. WHile they were going to charge me $80, I sent them a check for $55 - I have to spend $50 for another person to fix their mistakes and advised them I was deducting half - $25 - from their $80. Instead of taking it as constructive criticism, they resorted to saying I took photos of someone else's lawn and was lying about the incident. In the letter, they resorted to threaten legal action if I told anyone else what a terrible job they did resulting in a loss of business for them. I feel this company not only does a terrible job, but is completely unprofessional in their services and response to criticism.
Description of Work: I hired this company to mow the lawn and perform weed eating.
