Description of Work: the company did a comprehensive inspection of the air leaks in the condo. it appeared most efficient to me. they gave an estimate of the cost of eliminating the air leaks. i was unable to determine if their price for doing the work was comparable for doing such work because i did not have anyone else check out my energy efficienty needs. overall, it appeared that the energy sheriff inspection was very good. as i pointed out, i did not compare their cost of the recommended repairs, so i cannot make any comment on the cost of their repair work. overall, i think that the energy sheriff company inspection was and is very much worth their charge. i would recommend them to a friend. their service was efficient and friendly.

Description of Work: I would highly recommend this company. They follow-up promptly. Within days of buying the evaluation and minimum door resealing promotion, I received a non-pressure phone call from the company to set-up an appointment. The company was very respectful of my schedule and booked me 1 month in advance for what was to be approximately 3 hours to conduct their business. As a result of their expertise, and physically pointing out the air loss issues in my home, they remained until 7 PM to complete the additional work identified. This decisio9n was under no sales pressure by the company. They were clean, professional and meticulous in their work. They didn't want to stop for lunch, but I brought lunch in for them and insisted they take a break. The crew resealed doors, windows, and plumbing openings. Despite using low grade stripping in the past this company used high grade stripping and adjusted doors to ensure no loss of energy.

Description of Work: I know now to call and ask questions with regards to just what is the service that they are advertising to do before purchasing any more coupons. Unfortunately, what they came to do was not what I expected and /or wanted.

Description of Work: I recently bought the Energy Sheriff's package of sealing/weather proofing two doors and checking the entire house for air leaks. They did those tasks well, and I had them do another door, too. They did that, insulated my attic door that had previously not been insulated and did much more caulking and sealing for me that was extra. I only paid a minimal amount for the extras. They went above and beyond the call of duty, were in spiffy, ironed uniforms with id, and were professional, polite and pleasant, well-spoken, educated and punctual as well. The two gentlemen were here from approximately 4:30 P.M. to 9:30 in the evening. I would totally recommend them to anyone and will use their services again if need be. They certainly know their business of making a house more environmentally efficient.

Description of Work: I Highly recommend Energy Sheriffs, this was the fist time I've done an energy audit in our home. Sal and his assitant were on time, very professional, and detailed oriented.- they didn't miss a crack.After almost four hours in our home they sealed all windows and doors (including weather stripping of 2 doors) the price was excellent - after the test they went through the results and recommended ideas of how to make your home more efficient. know days it is very difficult to find companies with this level of professionalism and that take the time to do an excellent job at reasonable prices.

Description of Work: The service insulating air leaks in my house was great plus the great education I received about saving electricity via a survey and personalized attention. I also had a air conditioning hose outside which needed insulation. The greatest thing about this company happened two days after my appt. when they came back because I couldn't put my house alarm on. This was fixed and they gave me 8 new cold light bulbs. (I purchased 4 the first visit). Now I can hardly wait for my next FPL bill.

Description of Work: Weather stripping where needed, silicone to patch holes. Six or more doors required weather stripping and there were quite a few spaces which they filled to keep air out. They were great at eliminating air leaks.

Description of Work: I ordered this energy evaluation and weatherstripping deal just so I could have my door weatherstripped. I received SO much more bang for that buck! A team of four professionally clad men/women immediately began bringing heavy equipment to my door while the lead energy advisor explained to me what would follow. Well, in addition to sealing my door and another one that I hadn't planned on, they rigged up machinery and checked every door and window in my home for leakage and cost savings to me! Once they were satisfied with the secure windows and doors they applied a blower/vacuum device to every closet,bathroom and other smaller areas. They found a huge piece of ceiling missing inside my A/C closet and, a no additional charge, they sized insulated material to seal the missing piece. They also applied a door guard to my front door at no additional charge. They had estimated their visit to take less than two hours, but they stayed over 3 hours securing every possible thing to insure that my home would be more energy efficient! This energy team was prompt, thorough and efficient. Their service is a bargain at any price!

Description of Work: Two men worked 4 1/2 hours non-stop. They checked for air leaks that would compromised my air conditioner by sealing windows, doors and cracks I didn't know I had. A use of energy survey was completed. Appropriate suggestions were made. This experience was good return for my money.

Description of Work: Did a nice job on going throught he outside of house and inside. Very professional Main payback suggestion was for more efficient lighting. Promised to call back in a week and see what I wanted done. Never followed up (perhaps there just wasn't enough profit in his estimation).

Description of Work: Good afternoon I had the pleasure of contracting with Energy Sheriffs in September of 2009. Sal did an excellent job of providing me with a free energy review. Based on that review, Sal upgraded all of my light fixtures with compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), programmed my AC thermostats (I have 2-AC units) to optimize usage, adjusted my pool pump operations and changed out all faucet aerators and shower heads with energy star rated replacements. The results: 1.) My electric consumption went from an average of 130 KwH per day down to 70 KwH per day (46% reduction), resulting in my electric bill declining from an average of $470/month to $250/month or a monthly savings of $220!! 2.) My water bill went from $120/month to $90/month for a monthly savings of $30/month!! In total, I am now saving approximately $280/month. My initial $800 investment was returned in about 3-months and the savings I experienced over the last 9-months helped pay for our trip to Jamaica!! Energy Sheriffs is excellent and I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in reducing your monthly energy and utility bills. Sincerely, Stephen C.
