We went with Mr McClure because he had installed shades in our home 30 yrs prior when he was with another company and did well. This time though what was supposed to be a 3 week job, turned into 9 weeks. (due to the fact that he miss measured and ordered the wrong size shutter and just ignored our phone calls ) Then, Mr McClure claimed he felt bad about how long it took and volunteered to use the shutters that couldn't be used because they were too large, in two smaller windows. One took another week to get installed, the next one took 3 months. We even offered to pay just to get them done but he just ignored our pleas. After the installation of the last window, the final and last window was measured. We have never heard back and calls to his office are not returned. This is so, so sad! We have known this man for over thirty years! He was paid and took months and months to complete a job! We were so patient. My husband and I were both born and raised in Vero Beach and wanted to deal with a Local. Never again! Mr Dennis McClure you did us wrong!!!

Shades to Shutters did a tremendous job overall. The shutters were quoted with a 3-4 week turnaround. They were professionally installed in that time frame and looked great. I would definitely recommend Shades to Shutters to anyone looking to purchase and install window treatments. I will definitely use this company for all my future window treatment needs.

Dennis came the wk. before Christmas to measure for plantation shutters. We ordered that day and were told 3-4 wks. They came at 5 wks to install. Given holiday season, we felt that was reasonable. HOWEVER, one set of shutters was incorrect size, which was not noted by them until they arrived. They said factory sent wrong size. Promised to have them by next week. Also, the other set was the wrong style. We did not hear from them the next week. I waited a week, and called to check on the status, and was told by Dennis, that a woman at the factory had screwed up. He would get back to me. I didn't hear anything the following wk, so I called again. I was told they didn't know when they'd be in. A couple of days later , I called again and talked to Dennis. He gave me 3 or 4 reasons why they weren't in yet. He'd have Heather call back. We waited another wk. , and then my husband called and talked to Dennis. Funny thing, we got a call the next day from a woman who said they'd be in the next wk. in fact. Within a few days, they called to say they'd be here the next day. In fact, Dennis called and left 3 messages about this. When they arrived, we found out why the rush. They were going to take the one set of shutters that had been installed , which were the wrong style, and install them in a "big" job the next day. Bottom line, two of the sets installed close incorrectly ( if we jiggle one set, we can get them closed), and the others don't stay closed. As to the professionalism, or lack there of-- Dennis could use some communication training.

I called other companies that took one look at my blinds and informed me that they were not fixable and advised me to purchase brand new ones that would cost anywhere between $8,000-$10,000. I finally came across Shades to Shutters and was impressed with their work. Sean came in and was able to replace the track and fix my blinds for a fair and reasonable price. He was punctual and pleasant to have in my home. I am thankful I was able to find someone who was capable of performing the work and took the time to meet my needs and request.
