Lion's Help Land and Tree Service LLC

I needed a vacant lot cleared of severe underbrush so we could do a tree survey for future construction. The lot was so overgrown it was like a rain forest and you could not walk from one end to another. It took a while for Marcus to get to the lot to give us an estimate, then it was a while before he could do the job. All total about three weeks, which is why I marked them down on punctuality. I must say though, that there were numerous phone calls from him and Monica in his office explaining the delays and they were very apologetic. When the job was finally done I was pleased with it, and I think the price was fair considering the amount of work that was done.

I chose this company from among four others whose estimates I had received to remove a huge oak tree from my yard that was rotting at its base and ominously leaning toward my neighbor's house. My neighbor had already had a company remove many of the limbs that were hanging over her property. However, they did not remove some very high-hanging branches that were probably beyond their reach. Altamonte Springs inspectors agreed that the tree should be removed. As weather problems caused scheduling delays for Lion's Help, the company's owner, Marcus, assigned himself to remove the tree. To my amazement, he did so alone --- no help! This was a huge tree, 7 feet in circumference and probably 70 feet up to those highest branches hanging over my neighbor's property. It would have been a challenge for even two people to bring that tree down without causing unintended damage, but by the skilled use of a lift machine and some chain saws, Marcus had it ready for stump grinding in less than two days. You would think that the ground on both my and my neighbor's yard would have suffered as a result of heavy chunks of tree trunk smashing down, but he used a chain-like device wrapped around larger chunks to lower them slowly to the ground. When he finished the job, he was meticulous in thoroughly cleaning up the work area, both in my yard and particularly in my neighbor's yard and driveway. You would never have guessed that a huge tree had just been reduced to rubble and hauled away. Throughout the entire process, Monica, the co-owner of the company, maintained contact with me through Angie's List message service regarding Contract adjustments and scheduling. I expect to use this company's services again for any future yard or tree issues that arise, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for fair-priced and totally professional service.

Very satisfied. They helped with clean-up, carried bundles of small debris to the end of the driveway for county pick-up. Stacked larger wood branches for future use in fire-pit.

It all went well. The only part that was slightly irregular is that the provider's wife makes the appointments, so one leaves a message and then she calls back. This worked out OK. The provider does great work, and I'd gladly use the services again.

Arrived on time and started to work. Very professional and courteous. Removed two trees that were in very difficult locations. Worked extremely hard and did an excellent overall job cleaned up after he was complete. I will use Marcis again

They were great at responding but unfortunately they could not meet my very tight time frame. I do not blame them and would use them again in the future.

I honestly cannot rave about this provider enough. I contacted four companies to remove this problem tree. One said the job was too small, one said the job was too difficult, and one simply couldn't be bothered at all. Marcus at Lion's Help however came out, offered a reasonable estimate, and had the tree out within a week. It was in a problem spot over a septic tank and drain field, which severely restricted how they placed and used their equipment. They were so extremely attentive to the challenge they faced, and were respectful of my property and landscaping throughout. They had to remove a portion of a privacy fence during the project, but when I came home from a business trip, the fence was back up and in better condition than when it was taken down. I have had some mixed results using Angie's List, but this provider renewed my confidence in it. Seriously, if you're looking for tree service/removal, I wouldn't even bother looking elsewhere before giving this company a try. I am a VERY pleased customer.

Monica was very responsive in getting me a proposal and communicating times to make sure I was aware of everything going on. Marcus came to do the estimate and perform the service. Marcus was very professional and courteous. He walked me through everything he planned on doing and took extra care to not damage the lawn and pavers surrounding the tree. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in the future.

They rescheduled multiple times, which became annoying. They did ok, but there are still limbs and shoots in the tree that I would have liked to seen removed. I wasn't there to inspect the work. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't excellent either.

The service took some time for me to get scheduled they were booked out 2 weeks in advance. Once the company came though they did a terrific job.

t Very pleased with the work and the results. The tree looks great! Marcus is an excellent person to do business with. It required 3 hours to shape the tree. You will find that Marcus is likeable guy and Monica in the office in the office keeps you updated to scheduled activity. I plan to continue to use this service.

I think he was good. They met expectations but I was never really here when they did it but I was happy with the work that they did.

It went well. they hauled everything away. He went above and beyond and really should have charged me more. He honored an add that i had perceived differently and that made me very happy.

Trimmed as requested, hauled away cut branches and cleaned up leaves and twigs.

Outstanding experience from the beginning phone call to the clean up . Marcus was professional and very safety conscience during the tree removal. I could hardly tell a tree had been removed except for the stump which I decided not to remove.

Marcus came by my house about a week and a half ago, never performed the service I paid for and he hasn't contacted me since. I would like my money back!

I liked the guy he was prompt and all but the tree was 70 feet tall and I had to pay an additional cost because I didn't notice the Big Deal had a limit.

Communication was good. Appointment time was kept. Work done to my satisfaction. Marcus went around and looked at trees to see if he could do anything while he was there and took some palm fronds down that were close to the roof. Nice people. Would use them again.

I purchased the 3 hr. of work for $199 Angie Deal and added $150 for haul away. Marcus originally came out to look at the work requested and said there would be two men coming out for 1 1/2 hrs. to do the work. He said they would try to finish it all in the allotted time. As it turned out, Marcus arrived by himself and proceeded to tackle the job. He asked for my input on most of the branches that he took off and made sure that he did everything safely. He trimmed all that I had originally asked for him to do and did a super job of cleaning up the yard when he finished. I am very happy with the job done and will call on him again the next time I have trees trimmed.

The service was very good. The owner himself came out and he did the work. He was very polite, professional, and did a really good job. I had them wait until after New Year’s. They called back right away and I told them that I wanted to wait because I had so many things going on and do it after the 1st of the year. So, they came out in January. There were additional charges to the $150 Big Deal only for the extra stuff I had them do. The trees look much better after he was done. He was very careful about what he did and everything. I was impressed with it. I thought the price was a good price. It was fair. He let me know what time he would be there and he was there.

They came out and gave me an estimate that was higher then one I got from another company. I requested a refund a refund from Angie's List.

Work was completed was acceptable but I did feel I did not get $300.00 worth of service as advertised in coupon I sent them back twice but I just gave up and let them go

Marcus was polite, thoroughly professional and diligent in his work. He provided advice to us on how best to trim up our trees, did the work exactly as described (and requested) and left our yard spotless when he was completed. I will bring him back in the future if need arises and whole heartedly recommend him to others.

Hard workers and very respectful. Only problem was one tree was not cut close enough to the ground for me to put cement there, and I asked for them to come back and fix it, which they were willing to do, they said. After several reschedules on their part, I had pretty much given up on trying to get them to come back. I would have given them all 5 stars and an excellent rating if it weren't for that. :-(

Those guys did a great job. They did great and I highly recommend them. They were timely. They have a fair price. They went above and beyond.
