Marcus and his associate did a superb job. They were on time and very courteous - down right professional. Marcus went over the details of the job with me, making sure I knew what the job entailed and that he understood what I wanted done. He explained what they would be doing to the trees and the stomps. When the job was done they cleaned up and hauled the branches away. I am very pleased with the work that Marcus and his associate did for me.

They did a great job of cutting down the oak tree and removing it. They also did a great job of later grinding up the oak tree stump. They did not remove the bushes they cut down but they did lay them near the street. They did not have a shredder and advised me that it would cost extra for removal. There was a little confusion in the extent of the work to be done, but it was cleared up. They returned about 2-3 weeks later to do the stump grinding. They arrived very late in the day. There was again confusion as to the extent of the grinding to be done. They ended up grinding the oak tree stump and the stumps from 2 bushes, but left the stumps from 4 other bushes taking the position that it was not part of the agreement. The grinding cost an additional $150. I felt the cost for cutting down the tree and bushes was very fair. Just make sure you have everything in writing as to the scope of additional work to be done.

We had a hard time scheduling service, I think they were overwhelmed from the response to the Big Deal offer. But they remained professional, kept in contact with me about delays, and overall they were very pleasant to work with. Marcus did a great job! Glad I hired them.

Once we got the work started, it went without a hitch. The work was performed as promised and the outcome was beautifully trimmed trees and a taming of a bush gone out of control! They worked quickly and did a beautiful job.

The service went great. The crew and the owner did a wonderful job. They gave me a great deal on some additional work. I had them trim all of the trees in the yard including Oak, Air and Maple trees. They took out a Maple tree and trimmed some plants up, as well. They were very responsive and there only a small delay because of rain. They also did work for my son in law. The technicians were really friendly, polite and hard workers. I felt at ease with them at my home. I would highly recommend this company to others.

At first had trouble coordinating schedules, but then on time as agreed to. Cutting done as requested, cleanup so good I couldn't tell they had been there. MARCUS IS A WINNER!!! He was polite, efficient, and easy to work with.

Absolutely nothing. I signed up for one of those daily deals and it took them forever to contact me. By the time they did contact me, you had to fit into their schedule and not your own. They will not refund my money. Said I had to contact Angie's List. DO NOT PREPAY THIS VENDOR.

First class from start to finish. Owner and wife are very hands on. Communication was spot on, price was fair, quality of work was amazing. Owner is on site of every job, meticulous. I highly recommend them and they will be my tree service company for the foreseeable future.

Marcus was very professional. The appointment was changed twice because of weather problems with other customers. Marcus is a nice, pleasant young man. The only problems I had were that he did not haul away debris and, in my opinion, only trimmed low hanging branches. If I wanted higher ones done, the price would be much higher. I felt that this deal was a teaser.

The team arrived on time around 9 a.m. and began working. Everyone worked on a different tree and removed the debris to their trailer. It took them just over 2 hours and ended before any afternoon rains began. They even trimmed up a large branch which had been taken to the curb before they arrived. They cut it up and removed the entire pile to their trailer. They cleaned up very good before leaving.

Entire transaction went very smoothly Monica handled the arrangements. A 2 man crew showed up, wasted no time, trimmed the branches and carted away the trimmings. Friendly, cheerful and knowledgeable. I would be happy to use them again.

They were excellent. They cleaned up very well. They spoke to me about my trees, and how to cut and keep them healthy.

The company had a special going on Angie's, but they stipulated they couldn't work on trees higher than 15', so I called them. Answering machine. Got call back later that day. When I mentioned Angie's list they said "you don't need to go through Angie's list - we'll give you the same discount as the special we are running". OK, so they can work on my trees but now I need an estimate. It takes over a week for someone to come out and give me an estimate, and oops, they can't actually give me an estimate...they have to go back to the office to do the estimate...and oops that will take another two days. Huh? FOUR days later and I still don't have my estimate. I was not here when the estimator came out, but it was supposed to be the owner of the company. Ouch. I think they got overwhelmed by the special they ran and couldn't handle all the business - my opinion.

The Second purchase of a Big Deal for Lion’s Help and Tree Service was purchased in late April or May 2014, I believe, and after touching base with the company, it was professionally explained to me that the Big Deal was not available to previous Big Deal purchasers. The Company Representative, Monica, was extremely polite and I told her that I had not understood before I purchased the 2nd Big Deal but am fine after hearing her explanation and that I would let Angie’s List personnel know. Therefore, no work or estimate took place and I made a call to Angie’s List for a refund.

The estimator was on-time for the appointment. I had communication from his office that he was running late. I thought that he was coming for the work but it was a for an estimate. He indicated during that estimate visit that there is a 15’ tree height limit. The work is going to be higher than anticipated. He has handled the situation quite well so far.

I took advantage of a special on Angie's List. In my opinion this is a terrific company. I found myself in a spot where I was pressed for time. It is apparent this company is Very Busy. Some how Marion and Marcus were able to squeeze me in. I'll try to allow ample time on my next service. When Marcus Team came to the property they did a great job, and took the time to also clear up the trimmed area. I highly recommend this hard working team. Without any doubt this is my tree company for any upcoming needs.

Came out 15 minutes late. I had 5 trees I needed trimmed, and 1 tree that needed to be knocked down. Part of the deal was that the trees not be over 15ft without an additional charge, mine was about 20 ft, and he quoted me an additional $150. I can get the entire job done for $120 elsewhere.

Easily took a tree out that was very close to the house and the tree was a direct hazard if there was a storm. This group were some of the hardest workers I have ever seen, they worked non stop on a very hot day and made a difficult job look easy. Great communications with the company and very friendly staff. They met all my expectations and above. I would give 5 all around Marcus and his crew. What a great work ethic. Cleaned up after the job was above and beyond.

They arrived on time and the owner looked at my bushes and said that it was a bigger job than he expected and maybe would have to come back to do it. My schedule is pretty erratic so after discussing when he could return, he decided to dive in and do it. They finished the job in 2 hours and it was the best job I've had on those bushes. Other people have trimmed them and left gaping holes in the bushes but Lions Help trimmed them square with no holes. I would highly recommend them to anyone with monster bushes to trim. They had to charged $100 to haul off the debris because of dumping fees but it was well worth it. That is included in the price if $225. I have paid more for less professional work. Thanks guys! You rock!

After purchasing the deal we contacted the seller through Angie's list. The company came out to provide an estimate. They let us know they only cut up to 15ft of the tree and haul away was extra. We decided that we needed to have the higher parts of the tree cut as well and told the company that, due to this, we would not be able to utilize them. They were courteous about it and let us know to contact them if we change our minds.

Marcus and his staff are a pleasure to deal with and did a great job. They care about how things look just as you do.

As I said, this tree was in a very hard to reach place, but they were very careful of the surroundings. 2 pieces of fence had to be removed and it was quite complicated. These guys did a superb job. They left no residue and hauled everything away. Great job, guys! I would highly recommend these people to anyone in need of their services.
