Lion's Help Land and Tree Service LLC

My contact with the company reps went well and they were very conscientious about coming to our home to provide a quote. This is strictly a matter of their cost estimate being twice as much as the quote received from another established and reputable tree service company.

Very good communication about scheduling a convenient time. Came first and surveyed the work and agreed on scope of services. Arrived when scheduled to do the work. All was done promptly and the clean-up was complete.

They came out for an estimate and said it would not only be more than the deal but it would be 2x the price and we knew that was too much. We did take other bids and decided to use another company.

Everything with Lion's Help Land and Tree Service went well. I was happy with them and the way they did the job. There were 2 men who came out and both were professional and cleaned up after themselves. They were responsive and got back with me with a few days of purchasing the deal.

The service worked out fine. It cost me more than what I thought. They were fine. They were there on time and did the job. It is all good. There was no issue with the quality of their service. There were no problems. I would possibly use them again in the future.

A little bit of false advertising. They offer tree service but don't remove trees?

Marcus at Lion's Help did a terrific job. Our property was pretty overgrown (in Sleeping Beauty territory, if you know what I mean), and we had a bunch of nuisance "pepper trees" on top of that. Marcus arrived exactly when we expected him and cut everything back down to size, exterminating the pepper trees, cutting back the branches that were scraping our house and car, neatly trimming the burgeoning plumbago, and vanquishing an enormous, wasp-laden firebush in the back. He even carted the big logs and the bitty, raked-up trimmings away, all within just a few hours. We are very satisfied with the service and the price.

They showed up on time to look at the situation and make a quote. I specifically covered everything I wanted performed. He left and told me he would get back to me with an estimate. Several days later he called back and gave me a quote for the work to be performed. We agreed on a total of $700 or $750. I was on my way out of town for several weeks when his wife called and told me they could come out that day to perform the work, or else we would have to re-schedule for several weeks later. I told her to go ahead as my wife would be at the house. Later in the afternoon my wife called and said they we getting ready to leave and wanted to be paid, but had failed to remove 1 tree and 1 large bush as agreed upon. I had to get on the phone with him and he finally agreed to do the remainder of the work for an additional $200. At this point I just wanted them to finish so I agreed. All of this could have been avoided had they provided me with a written estimate before the work commenced. I accept responsibility for failing to insist on having a written agreement and have learned my lesson.

The company came out to give me an estimate. They gave me the estimate through my Angie’s list email and it was way more than I thought. I will not be going with this company.

I had a much higher quote from another company that was going to charge for haul away and for dirt to fill in the holes. No fill in was needed and haul away was included. When he was finished, it was hard to tell that anything had been done. I would hire him again. The office person was very nice and kept in touch with me since Marcus got stuck on his last job. Very nice and polite company. A pleasure to do business with. After using 2 other Landscapers that were less than stellar, this was a breath of fresh air!

Marcus and one of his team members showed up on time and did an excellent job. They completed the work in about 3 hours and left our backyard clean. I'm very satisfied with their work and would definitely use them again. The scheduling process was also very smooth.

It went very well. When I arrived home they were there finishing the job. Very nice people, they explained why there was an additional fee and made everything nice and neat.

I will not write a review nor use them again. Please remove this from my list.

I didn't realize they sub-contracted so they had a couple of different people come out. When the crew came in to grind up a stump, they left a trail of an oily kind of substance on our pavers and it damaged them. We spoke with Lion and they said they'd have the subcontractors come back out and clean up. They tried and it ended up leaving a stain. The stump grinders didn't even want to help us. Lion had their handyman come out and and replace some of the pavers, and they are different colors. This has been going on for about 5 months and it has not yet been resolved.

There were no problems with scheduling. Marcus came in and trimmed a huge tree in my front yard. He actually looked at a huge tree in my backyard, advised that it needed to come down, and I had him take it down. He also trimmed another tree in my backyard that was getting too close my roof. They completed all of the work in one day. When all of the work was complete, they packed up all of the debris and set them out for the trash pick-up. He went above and beyond. They did an excellent job. I would use them again and have already recommended them to several people.

Marcus and his brother Mike were super nice and good people. They did a good job and were very accommodating.

After a couple of false starts caused by the unpredictable summer weather, everything went very well. From Marcus and the employees in the field to Monica in the office, everyone we dealt with was pleasant and professional. They did a good and thorough job, and we would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

The trees we needed trimmed were too high for them to service. They were very helpful and apologetic, but it didn't work out.

Arranged an appointment for a quote. Marcus was early (which was wonderful for me), was courteous, professional and informative. He definitely knows his business and enjoys it. I got the quote via email a few days later, they don't quote at time of estimate. The quote was for the total services, the only line item was the stump grinding. I prefer itemized quotes so if the costs are over budget I can more easily figure out the give and take. Scheduled services within a few weeks and the tree removal and trimming was done. The work was done well and the clean up was meticulous. The stump grinding was scheduled for late the next week, but was postponed to the beginning of the next week when the previous job that day ran over. A small inconvenience since the plan was to landscape the area that weekend. But came as rescheduled and did a wonderful job. Have recommended them and would definitely use them again.

Marcus Pryor was very knowledgeable, professional, and thorough in his work. He also is very personable and easy to communicate. His wife Monica was amazing to keep me posted on Marcus schedule and updated to let me know when he was going to come. Marcus, his brother, and other workers did an excellent job. I've never seen such a good job in grinding tree stumps, where grass is already covering the area and it doesn't seem that there were trees there before. Marcus is committed to doing his job excellently. He was very thorough in making sure everything was very clean after trimming the trees and made sure that I was satisfied with the job. The only reason I gave them a B in punctuality is because Monica had to reschedule the job a couple of times and it took a little longer for them to complete the job. Since it's a family business, and they work so well, I think that they had tons of work load and commitments, reason it took longer to get to my house. Nevertheless, Monica was incredibly communicative and responsive to update me on rescheduling, giving me status updates on when Marcus would arrive and other details. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their work and I'm planning to continue using them for other future jobs.

I called to get an estimate. They got back to me the same day. They did the estimate and e-mailed it to me in 2 days. The work was scheduled for the next week. They did a good job and cleaned up the debris. They had to remove part of a fence to get equipment into the back yard. When they were done they put the fence back.

Lion's Help Land and Tree Service were very efficient, professional and polite. Marcus said it would take an hour and they finished just under that. When they finished cutting all the limbs they cleaned up and hauled everthing away as they said they would.

They came out to my property to gave me an estimate. Unfortunately, there were extra costs as my tree is too large.

They did an excellent job. I would use them in the future.
