KITCHENS BY DESIGN

Fantastic! Kari, Brett and Sadun were spot on with design, measuring and installation. Kari and Brett helped us with the each rooms different type and color along with the exact measurements at our house. During the process we discovered Brett has a degree is architecture from Georgia Tech, added bonus for us and others. The cabinets were delivered and professionally installed. Clean up was perfect too. We really appreciated the company coming to the house at a convenient time for us since we both work. Very pleased with the “team” at Kitchens By Design. I’m Excited for our next project, the pantry, incorporating Brett’s clever design of a grocery tiny door in the garage directly into the pantry. Genius! Again, Kitchens By Design is great. We will definitely use them team again.

Came out to our house and measured. Rick (owner) said he would do the sketches for our new kitchen and he would call in couple weeks. I called him once and didn't return my call. Called again and got Rick and asked why didn't he call back? I was busy. Over a month no calls. Very unprofessional, I recommend to other prospective clients be cautions of this type of unprofessional behavior.

1928 home. Considering the walls weren't perfect, I think thinks went pretty smoothly. The cabinets were in in three or four days and then the installer came back a few times to finish details and install under cabinet and upper glass door lighting. The installer was excellent! I still can't believe this is my kitchen.

We ordered quartz counter tops. When they came in, the holes for the soap and faucet were reversed so we had to switch the fixtures so that they worked. Also they didn't level the counter top. When we complained to Kitchens by Design they told us that the subcontractor providing the counter tops was out of business and there was nothing they could do.

We decided to go with them. They were very good. The owner, Rick Montgomery, answered all our questions. He was very thorough and personable. They have a nice selection. They haven't installed the kitchen yet but in the middle of the process everything has been very good. Everything was reasonable. The products were nice within the category that we got. He sat there and did design on the computer so we got a print out and price immediately. We are just pleased overall, I haven't seen the end product but so far everything in the process has gone so well.

Let me start by saying that the kitchen I had was a travesty! It was cheap contractor grade cabinets that looked like they were hung by a drunk blind person. That's how crooked they were. I chose this company because of the good rating on Angie's list. Rick Montgomery was very helpful in designing my new kitchen without changing the and quot;foot printand quot; too much. I wanted simple but rich looking. I had saved up for several years for this new kitchen. He made suggestions, not all of which I took but he had good ideas and good advice, such as what colors and accessories would look best. It took several weeks of discussion between me and my husband but once we made our decisions, Rick got started right away on the order. He said it would take 3-4 weeks for the cabints to be ready, it took less than 3. We went back and forth on counters and colors and Rick was patient enough to keep bringing us samples to look at. I ran into problems with the cabinet installation. My husband and I both work week days and anyone who knows Florida, knows that during and quot;seasonand quot;, taking off a day is asking for trouble so we requested a Saturday install. Ithink the installer was not happy about orking a Saturday. First of all, there was only one installer which I thought was odd as cabinets are heavy and more difficult to work with accurately if you don't have help. He arrived about 30 minutes late too. Everything started out okay but as the day wore on, he started getting grumpy. He had plans for that evening and wanted to get done. I can't blame someone for wanting to go out on a Saturday night so I told him we would clean up. I spent 3 hours cleaning up and putting things back in cabinets when we noticed problems with the installation. Two of the cabinets were cracked where the installer used an impact tool to attach the doors. There were no side panels on the cabinets on either side of the sink so if something were to fall out of the cabinet and slip in between, I would never be able to retrieve it. I stopped by the showroom that Monday and showed Rick pictures of these problems. He said he would send the installer back out to repair the cracks and put panels on the side cabinets by the sink. I told him that the counters were due to be installed that Thursday at 9:00. He told me that the installer would be there and gone by time the counters arrived. I was (and still am) skeptical about using glue to repair the cracks and if the repair does not hold I will expect replacement cabnets. The installer was late coming back, nor did he call. I had to call Rick to find out where he was. The installer arrive at the same time as the counter people who had to wait for him to finish throwing off their schedule. The doors to the 2 cabinets were removed and glue inserted with clamps holding the wood so it would dry. I asked him when he would be back to put the doors back up and he sais he didn't know but not that day. I about lost my mind. I called Rick and told him I wanted those cabinets finished by end of day. He told me he would have him back to my house when the counters were finished. I called Rick at 2:30 to let him know my counters were installed. The installer got back to my house at 3:50 and proceeded to put the doors back up after dropping his drill on my brand new Corian counters. He wanted to put up some trim under my new breakfast bar but I just wanted him out of my house. All in all, I thnk Rick Montgomery is a great designer, he has some wonderful ideas and the prices are fair. I would never allow the same installer into my house again though. November, 2013 Again, I was extremely satisfied with the design and product, as well as cost. The only reason for the grade of and quot;Band quot; given was due to the installation. I have had to reattach several of the pulls and use wood marker to and quot;finishand quot; the edges of the toe kick. If the installer had a problem accomodating our schedule, we should have been told and given the choice of using someone else who was not in such a hurry. I still love my new kitchen and enjoy it every day! I have reccomended this company to several people who have used or plan to use their services.

FANTASTIC JOB OF DESIGN, REMOVAL and INSTALLATION OF EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. THEY HELPED ME DEIGN FOR MY NEEDS and DESIRES and THE COODINATED THE ENTIRE EFFORT . THE ORDER, REMOVAL and INSTALL WAS EXACTLY ON THE TIME SCHEDULE THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE. THERE HONESTY and INTEGRITY WAS UNMATCHED IN DEALING WITH ALL ASPECTS OF THIS COMPLICATED JOB.
