Gene Riddell

Gene was recommended by someone that supplies tile to dozens of contractors. We needed to repair a shower that was done poorly three years ago. Gene gave me a fair price, showed up on time, and did exactly what he said he would do. He and his son were VERY professional.

Mother-in-law's dog messed all over the carpeting in 2 large rooms in her Vero Beach home... it needed replacement. I contacted several flooring places, including Lowe's (they were really expensive) and all quotes received were over $4000. I found Gene on Angie's List and contacted him for a quote which was at least 10% lower than all other quote received. Since we still reside in New England, all contact was by phone and email which proved to be no problem whatsoever. We were to meet him in Florida for the install but he called and told us he had a couple of free days and would like to start early. With some skepticism, we agreed. Furniture (w/ crystal inside) had to be moved, hadn't met him yet, etc. We took a chance and it all worked out. The bottom line is he did a GREAT JOB. He can order any flooring you pick out (has relationships with distributors). He tore up the old carpet, sealed the concrete underneath, and laid down laminate flooring with all the trim pieces required. When we actually walked into the house we were so impressed with everything. How he cared for the crystal and furniture, the workmanship, the cleanup... all very impressive. I would not hesitate one minute to use Gene again... he's reliable, trustworthy, and skilled.

I received three estimates for tearing out carpeting and installing laminate in most of my house. Gene's estimate was substantially lower. He came highly recommended by the people at ProSource, the warehouse where I purchased the laminate. It took he and his son two and a half days to move all my furniture, tear out my carpet and install the laminate. At the time they were working, I had a bad knee problem and couldn't do much, but they were great - uncomplaining and professional. They always cleaned up after themselves each day. My only slight complaint is the didn't always arrive exactly when promised, but were always here within a half hour of the stated time. On the whole, I was extremelybpleased with the job they did.
