Darling Construction

The guy that is the major contractor, he's done a lot of work for me. I've known him since he was a little kids. I had all my water pipes replaced last year. He's not a plumber but he did all the sheetrock work. We had him cut intot he walls and all that stuff. He did all that stuff and did the paintintg too. He does alot of roofing.

My husband and I are in the process of purchasing a home in the area, and we had contacted Darling Construction to come out and do a walk-through, to give us an idea of some pricing estimates. The guy that came out (Justin) was nice enough, and walked through the whole house with us, as we talked about our renovation ideas. He told us to give him a few days and he would have the written estimate out to us. A week went by and we heard NOTHING. I emailed him to check on the progress and he said that he would send the estimate out ASAP. Again we waited, and heard ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Now it is 1 month later, and we are yet to hear a peep from them. I find it very unprofessional to not even respond to a new customer's inquiry...and to not even have the decency to make any attempts to rectify the situation. Needless to say, we absolutely have NO interest in using this company now, or at any point in the future. If this is how they run their business, I can only imagine the problems we could have had if we actually used them for a remodel. I believe that if someone tells you they are going to do something (such as provide a simple written estimate), then they should follow through with it. Thumbs down Darling.

We've been working with them for a couple of years to do our renovation. They were very professional. They were patient with us. We were inexperienced with the renovation process. The house looks beautiful. They did a fantastic job. The quality was excellent. We also did it long distance and that made it a lot more complicated. They were very patient working with us long distance.
