Recommended by Lowe’s for installation of a tankless water heater. Their estimate was higher than a whole house generator. Got the installation die by an AO Smith referred plumber at less than 1/2 the price.

Had tech come and check A/C, says condenser fan motor needs r emplacement (A/C unit is 3-4 years old, under 10 year manufacturerwarranty). Says it will be $2300. I checked receipt two days after (which was emailed to me) for accuracy. Receipt is very vague and has only total on it, no breakdown on how it is charged. Called their office to have a itemized receipt, was given the run around that someone would get back with me and no one did. Asked for their corporate number and was told they had no idea what it was (really, they don't know their corporate information). The whole repair process is very shady and they still refusing to give itemized receipt, had to get corporate information from google. Wish I could post the shady receip as it was blown up on price and made look like they were doing actual "warranty" work, when they are really charging the whole work and hiding it. By Florida statute you can ask and business has to furnish a complete itemized receipt for goods and sercices. I will be moving forward and reporting to BBB for shady practices! Hopefully will hear from their corporate office!!! Remember to ask for an undisclosed receipt, should show price of individual parts and seperate price of pricing for service rendered! Only reason I returned is because they installed my AC unit and would like to use only one company to keep things simple, thought it would be better this time around, was wrong! Update as of 5-22-2024 Just adding to previous, was contacted today (5/21/24), they not only refuse to give corporate information, they still refuse to give a itemized receipt so they can hide their overcharges on parts that were supposedly under warranty. The tech said the fan needed to be replaced due to the new motor and the fan was never replaced and they refuse refund (as per their customer satisfaction guaranteed, nothing but a lie). I have contacted BBB, put a complaint with my CC if this goes no where they I will have to see about taking this to court as these horrible companies continue to get away with horrible practices and stealing from consumers for parts not replaced!

The installation on 11/1/19 went well. However the equipment is inferior. See also my review on yelp. About January 10th I notified them I wanted the unit removed. They offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee or they will CHEERFULLY refund your money. They do not honor it. This has been going on for 2 months. They have treated me so badly it's actually abusive. I also purchased a 10 yr service plan. In January I notified them to cancel it and refund my money. Sasha from ARS stated the refund would be given after the equipment removal. Because they have ignored me and jerked me around for so long the 30 day limit for full refund has been missed. I finally got an appointment for removal that was 2-3 weeks out. They called me the day of the appointment at 10 a.m. and canceled. I was promised it would be removed no later than March 2. But on Feb 27, date of the first appointment they missed, they said they couldn't get here March 5th. I spoke with Sasha again to reschedule. At that point she said their policy is no refunds on the service plan. That is absolutely not true. ARS Vero Beach is the lowest of the low. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

Our Central Air Conditioner was in bad shape and needed to be totally replaced. ARS Rep. Devin, came promptly to inspect and gave us a free estimate. He was courteous, knowledgeable and showed us three options, thoroughly explaining each one. The next morning, installers Brian and Jeff worked on removing damaged A/C and installing new units in the inside and outside of the house. With on and off thunder showers, they managed to do a professional and outstanding job. I highly recommend ARS/Rescue Rooter.

So I called ARS for a free quote. Tom arrived at my home the next day. He explained what exactly he had to do to install this new valve. He provided me a price of $266.00. Once I understood how much work was required, I asked him to please do the work. Tom did an absolute fanatic professional job. I would absolutely recommend ARS Plumbing to anyone who expects top quality work at a reasonable cost. Thanks again Tom!
Description of Work: My home'ds main water supply shutoff roller valve was rusted and could fail. It needed to be replaced with new brass one, which would not rust. Addition A printable coupon was available from Angie's List for 5% off.

Their tech scared us with high repair estimates for a system that that had some standing water/mold in it but otherwise ran fine. Salesman hard sold us into buying a whole new system. Their own techs later told us we didn't need one... Thought we could trust them since they were Home Depot approved - now I know that doesn't mean anything. Install went ok considering how late in the day they started but we immediately noticed that the system couldn't keep the temp. in the house down under 78F even running constantly. When we investigated we saw that the return duct had sagged and the AC was sucking hot attic air. It took 2 FAILED CITY INSPECTIONS and 6 SERVICE CALLS over 3 MONTHS to resolve this simple issue. Not once did their salesman call me back to see if I was happy with their product. Not once did their customer service manager call us to apologize or offer us anything (I spoke to him once after leaving messages with their dispatcher). We learned an expensive lesson about home ownership our first month of being home owners.

ARS identified the problem (holes in the copper coil) and recommended replacement. While we told them we wanted time to decide whether to replace the coil or get a whole new system (the current system was over 15 years old), they recharged the gas so that we had cooling until we made a final decision. They gave us a quote for a new Carrier system as well. We did not end up getting the new system from them, but their price was very competitive. We just used another vendor with whom we had previous installation experience.

Very nice man arrived on time to perform the Tune up. He actually found something wrong with the coil. Since the coil was under warranty I would get a better price to replace it. ARS better price quote was $1287.00??? I had a coil replaced in another home that included the cost of the new coil for less. Which makes this a difficult review because the ARS employee knew his stuff but their prices are outrageous. Had another company come and do the job. Saving over $700

ARS arrived a little later than expected, but called ahead to inform me of the delay. The removal was difficult since the heater could not be drained due the excessive calcification in the tank. ARS was ready for the challenge and managed the difficult removal and installation. New heater is working very well. I would recommend to use them again.
Description of Work: After inspection it was clear that the Hot Water Heater desperately needed to be replaced. ARS worked with me and included the service charge into the cost of the replacement heater.

Additionally, the thermostat was hanging by its wires at an angle from the wall. I asked "aren't you going to fix that?" He said no need since we were going to order a new thermostat anyway. Amazing guy. Amazing. They're called ARS Rescue Rooter
Description of Work: Ridiculous story. We just bought this condo. Day before closing ACshut down. Temp went to 82. Closing delayed for a day until it was "fixed". Moved in on 18th Sep. On sep 30 AC went out again. They sent a guy next day. Arrived very late but spent 1.5 hours. I had the earlier receipt and showed it to him. It showed the that float switch tripped. I asked what the problem was this time. He said "same thing". I asked why didn't the other guy fix it. He actually said that the prior guy " probably did not know where the drain lines were ". ( I suggested maybe he needs further training ). The guy smiled. He went up and down the attic. In and out of the house. Kept saying "i'll be right back " He got it working and installed a "drain pan treatment strip". $39. I was happy it was working. He suggested an annual contract for $169. I said OK. Big mistake. After he left, I looked more closely at the two work order copies, i.e. The one for 9-13 and the new one for 10-1. Looks like the same guy!! (I will verify this). If it was, then he was essentially saying the prior guy who didn't know where the drain lines were was ... himself! Amazing. They're coming tonight supposedly. Wonder if the same guy will show.

I called Visa and we had a three party conference call in which I requested my payment for the maintenance agreement be refunded. They promptly agreed to do so.
Description of Work: They sold me a maintenance agreement for a year and started finding all types of problems at high cost to me that were off about the actual problem.

Everyone from the dispatcher to the techs who installed the ac were great. They made a point to remind me that they are available 24/7 for any questions or concerns. The A/C tech, Kyle, was running a bit behind schedule. Despite that, he spent a great deal of time performing a complete and thorough inspection of both units. He seemed very knowledgeable in his field and was a good, honest communicator with my disabled husband, who is also an electrical engineer. Kyle documented everything he serviced and checked and then wrote out detailed recommendations for both 9 yr old Carrier units. We were extremely pleased with his service and would welcome him back in the future.
Description of Work: ARS technician performed the $19 Tune-Up special for Home Depot on two units, the upstairs & the downstairs units.

The technician was professional and polite, I just didn't expect the additional selling points offered. Some, arguably, unnecessary (the mold bar). I am not familiar with AC units (this is the first home I've owned), but as previously noted, it appeared the AC checkup was just a way to garner additional business for ARS.
Description of Work: The business provided all measures noted on Angie's list. After multiple conversations (via email and phone calls), it was finally decided that the appt would occur on 3.12.14 between the hours of 8-10; the appt was confirmed that morning @ around 710am. When the technician arrived he proceeded to remove the case from my interior AC unit, ensure there were no leaks and made sure the wiring was OK. The technician also provided a list of recommended care for the system and Items I might need to prevent mold- A selling point I am sure. After checking my interior unit, the technician proceeded to advise that I might need additional service to prevent mold. Since I hardly have the air conditioning on, I was kind of alarmed by the thought of mold. He indicated he would place a bar that would prevent mold growth- to which I agreed. He then advised that it would be an additional 39.95 for the "service". He went to his truck and proceeded to provide a ruler length piece of molding that is supposed to lie in the drainage pan of the interior unit- that's it. I was expecting some sort of actual service to justify the additional 40 dollar charge, but there wasn't. After measuring wattage flowing through some of the units wires, the technician also advised that I might have an undersized piston (cause of my low PSI) and that I would have to replace a capacitor. He then proceeded to check the exterior portion of my ac unit and advised after a short check that I might need additional freon for the unit (R22-approx 3-4 lbs @71 dollars). I declined the additional freon (I infrequently use the ac unit) since it appeared the "special" on Angie's list just provided an excuse to provide additional services charged by the company. After about 1 hr the check up was completed and the technician left.

We had a deal from Home Depot for an inspection for $19.00. We booked an appointment and ARS showed up promptly. The office called prior to their artival to say they were on their way. After the inspection, showing us the innards of the unit and the problems it had, they sat us down and gave us several options. We told them that we were going to do some price comparisons. At the time, Home Depot was offering a substantial discount which was ending in a few days. We had 2 more companies come and do pricing. They could not compare to the price being offerred by Home Depot. We called them back to accept their offer, only to find out that the offer expiring the next day meant the work had to be completed that day. We had thought that if we paid for it, we would still get the deal. In any event, the installers, being ARS booked us in and completed the work. For their price, they did more than the other companies had quoted on. Very happy with everything they did.
