Ken is the owner and he was referred to me by another provider who we trusted. He was very professional and showed up solo and began working on trouble shooting problem areas in a house littered with problems including some suspicious electric work. He did all the stuff which didn't involve too much time in the burning hot attic After an hour reinforcements, a very athletic, younger guy named Steve and Ken?s 23 year old son showed up. I did not go up and inspect the speaker wires, but from what I could see, Ken did a great job fishing the wires there he didn?t have to cut out any wall such as in a back closet (easier option) so he scored points for that one. He consulted with me about a few things such as how to work the generator and demonstrated knowledge and good communication. Then the real hard work began, locating a broken wire behind a wall that as it turned out was burned and could have started a fire as the black wire was still intact. Steve was the man who really got that done. He was crawling around in that attic for about 45 minutes until he could find it. When I got the bill it was $80/hour for Ken?s time, $80/hr for Steve, and $50/ hour for young son Dan. Materials were $171 for maybe 200 feet of speaker wire and a couple other electric parts. Total bill $671. Despite how much I respected Ken and Steve?s skills, I was still expecting a lower bill, maybe the $400 range. Nevertheless if I was really in a jam, I know I could count on Ken or Steve and trust them. Ken is a very down to earth, likeable guy who at the end of the day, got a tough job done.
