I absolutely LOVED working with Matt and his technicians Al and Dan! They are on time, very knowledgeable and super professional. Very personable too. They did a lot of work for me over the course of a couple of months helping me with remodeling my house in Sarasota. Nothing is too small or too big for them. Great customer service. Timely responses. If I buy another house in the area I will definitely use them and only them.

Palm Island looked for opportunities to reduce the cost of the install. This was a very involved scope as we needed to obtain additional power from FPL to support the water heater requirements. They worked until 1:30 am one day to get the job completed and ensure we had hot water. Very impressed Brian Moran

Palm Island Electric is quite the attentive company. We had them come in to do a quote and before you know it they got the job done. They came prepared and took care of everything we needed. Steer clear, this company is rapidly going downhill, the owner is scrambling, and doesn't want to stand behind poor work done by an employee who left. Instead he hides behind excuses: he's short-handed (wonder why), he hurt his back, he got divorced, he has to drive from Venice (I'm in Sarasota), on and on.

Contacted them via Angie's List. Was asked to text them details of work requested and then spoke with them on phone - they were very responsive and I had a good impression of them. They told me they'd email me a quote. Didn't get it so I contacted them again a week later and requested it again - they said it was "on its way" but if I didn't get it again to contact them AGAIN. I never heard back from them and honestly, it shouldn't be on me to contact them a third time. This was for basic electrical work - nothing fancy - would have been a few hundred dollars but don't know for sure since I never got the quote. P.S. I rated "C" because there's no way to submit a review without an overall rating (there should be an N/A option for the overall score just like there is on all the supplemental scores). So I chose the middle score because rating high or low would not be fair since they didn't actually do anything. Scoring some of the supplemental scores N/A was a bit of a gift actually since after the first interaction which seemed good and promising, my impression of their follow up based on my experience is very poor.

Palm Island was top notch all the way around. I texted to set up the appointment and they were able to send someone the same day. Pete was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and ethical. I will request Pete again next time I need an electrician!

Quickly checked circuit breakers then began to check light switches and found wiring was loose. Fixed wiring.

Joe was very professional and knowledgeable. The owner, Matt, came by to assist with a particularly difficult project. The projects took several days to complete, and they were always on time and got to work right away.

They are great. They charge time and materials, not a flat rate. They have reasonable prices. Very prompt. They did good. This is the second time I have used them.

We've used four different electricians for various reasons and for various projects in two houses over the last several years. Palm Island is unquestionably the best. They're aren't the cheapest, but they are prompt, and they do quality work, and do what you ask them to do. In the most recent project, they repaired a "spongy" outlet and outlet box that was damaged during demo work. The typical approach would have been to through another outlet in the box, screw it in as tight as possible and get out of there. Palm Island did replace the outlet, but they also remounted the box and put in spacers to make sure everything was flush and aesthetically pleasing. My other experiences with them were similar. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Matt is very punctual, responsive, professional and very pleasant to work with. The quality of work is super. I was out of town. Matt noticed a leak from my softner system while he was doing the electric work. He notified me immediately and went extra mile to call a service company to check and fix the problem for me. I'm very thankful and will definately recommend him to my friends in the future.

Couldn't have been happier! Thought with such short notice he would only be able to get the breaker back up and working, but he installed a surge protector in no time. I am keeping him on speed dial! ;)
