 + -1 moreWent to open my garage door on Saturday and heard a loud pop. After that the garage door would only open about 6". Looked for garage repair service on Angie's List and saw that REED'S RESIDENTIAL had very good reviews. Called the company and the gentleman answered after a few rings. He informed me that he was out of town but would call me on Monday to set up an appointment. He also taught me a trick on how to get the garage door open until he arrived. Well as luck would have it he called me Sunday around 4pm and said he was back in town and would come on by. He fixed both springs and replaced the rollers and it took less then a hour. Did a great job and the garage door is quieter then ever. I also received a three year warranty. I will use him again for sure.

 + -1 moreSuperb! Steve replaced the coil the same day as my phone call, and arrived punctually, as to our meeting time that we had prearranged. I always appreciate his prompt care, professionalism and great service that he provides. Good Job!!
Description of Work: Earlier this year, I had Steve do a routine maintenance on our garage doors, Now the pickle was that the door would open, one time, then the next time, it only opened about a foot off the ground. He was able to diagnose the problem over the phone by our description of the problem. He said he had different sized coils in stock, based on our garage door needs/size. . He replaced the broken coil the same day that I called.

 + -1 moreWhen I discovered that the spring on my garage door had broken and I was not able to open it, I checked Angie's List and called Reed's Garage Doors. Steve answered and came out in about an hour. He replace the springs and rollers on the door as well as giving me advice on handling the door and helping me with my keys. He was extremely nice and professional. I would use him again without worry.
Description of Work: Steve replaced the springs and rollers on my double garage door and lubricated the hinges.

He suggested that we also wanted a battery pack so that if the electricity went out, we would still have access to the garage. He also receommended that we install a remote outside sensor for further easy access.

 + 0 moreCame home from shopping and found out the garage door wasn't working. Went inside and found out that one of the springs was broken. Looked at the Angie's List website for reports on garage door repairmen. Found a local repairman with a good record, called him and set up an appointment. Within an hour, he was here working, within another hour the work was finished, very good.
Description of Work: Replace the spring and reinforce the door. He replaced a burned out bulb and give me advice about the condition of the garage door.

He also checked over the system and suggested that we replace our rollers to make the door quieter. He gave us a three year warranty on our spring. The door operates much more quietly, as well. He finished the work very quickly.

 + -1 moreI was escstatic that Steve could come over in the same day, be punctual, be efficient, and not feel like I was being taken to the cleaners, all in the same afternoon! PLUS, He fixed our problem! I would defintely give him the 5 star award!
Description of Work: After coming home, we put down the garage door and heard a "THUD". My husband noted 2 screw had come out of the garage door. They attached the garage door opener to the door. At approximately 12 noon, we called Steve. He was able to come the SAME DAY, around 3:30 or 400 PM. He showed up at exactly 3:30PM. He promptly reviewed the garage door. He not only replaced the screws, but reinforced it with a bar, and multiple screws. He lubricated all the appropriate nooks and crannies. His recommendation was to replace our current rollers w/ Commericial grade based on our specific Door. He verbalized that we will tell the difference. Boy, could we. It is SO MUCH QUIETER!! He checked out our other garage door, too. He even suggested we move our car, not to get oil on it! I needed to leave by 4:20 PM, and he stated, "No problem, I'll be done by then." Sure enough, he was! I don't think either one of us felt rushed.
