Mike's Handyman Services

I found Mike on Angie's List last year and was very pleased with his work. In June, I decided to re-do my home office, but didn't have time to install the floor. I called Mike and he came over, gave me an estimate, and scheduled the job for the next week. When the big day arrived, he was on time, very professional, and was extremely meticulous about the work. The floor is beautiful, and I couldn't have gotten the project done on time without Mike. I can't say enough good things about him!

A couple of unexpected problems cropped up, like the need to recenter the boxes for the light fixtures in the kitchen and both bathrooms and add a support for the fan in the kitchen, along with cracked tiles in the master shower (because the old shower door frame had been glued to them) but Michael addressed and resolved each issue as it came up. Michael shows up when he says he will and works steadily to complete the projects. Another Project is already scheduled with Mike's Handyman Service for November 2014.

Mike did a great job installing a beautiful backsplash in our kitchen and also put in under the cabinet lighting. I called Mike after reading other reviews on Angie's list. He happened to be leaving a job close by and came over immediately to check out what I wanted to have done. I received an estimate a few days later and set up a time for him to come out. He is very busy so it was about a month out. It was worth the wait to have him come out because like all the other reviews state, he is clean cut, personable, shows up on time, does the work he says, cleans up after himself and does it in a timely manner without rushing. The cost I wrote does not include the supplies. I purchased almost everything before he arrived. I will definitely recommend him to others.

Michael did a beautiful job. He was dependable, professional and concerned with the details and making sure everything was just right. He cleans up after himself and never left a mess.

Michael did an excellent job at our rental property. From initial consult through job execution, he was professional and courteous and produced excellent work. We are happy with the finished product. His prices were competitive as compared to other quotes I received for the same services. He even provided guidance on future upkeep to keep our maintenance costs down in the future.

His work is outstanding, he is such a nice gentleman to work with, very respectful, very trustworthy, did outstanding work, punctual. I will continue to use him.

Mike came to my house and gave me an estimate for the cost and amount of time it would take to fix the list of items I had for him. He gave me a date when he would do the work and showed up on time with the supplies that he needed to do the job. Mike was at the house for 3 days arriving promptly and working hard throughout the day. The finished products looked excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to use Mike again.

Mike arrived promptly. He verified appointment the night before by phone. Knew how to do everything quickly. He is extremely competent and efficient. Amazing. Will recommend him to friends.

Couldn't have went any better. Mike came on the daywe had arranged and did the work right then. The modifications to the doors was a huge thing for us as the alternative might have been to get custom doors made resulting in a rather large expense.

Mike was fantastic to work with. He is personable, friendly, professional, courteous, trustworthy and was always on-time from the reasonable estimate to completion of work. My Mother's house needed a lot of work and Mike took on the challenge. Mike has great skills and did not consider his work complete until we approved. Mike's work ethic and standards are so high the work was done right the first time. Mike was very patient with us when we requested additional work that was not included in the original estimate of work. He patiently worked with us each time with a new reasonable estimate and time. We will not hesitate to contact him again or give him an outstanding reference. Great experience! Mike arrived to first pressure wash our 1950's house. Once he finished the house Mike upon our request agreed to give us an estimate to pressure wash the patio, driveway, walkway and front porch which was not part of the original work request. Mike gave my Mother a reasonable estimate for this additional work. Next, Mike removed the old screen from the screen porch, replaced wood rot, painted and re-screened the screen porch. We thought a new screen door was in order but Mike determined he could re-screen the old door and paint it to look new. Mike then removed the soffit ventilation screen. If you have never seen a 1950's house with screen vents on the soffits then you need to understand the screen is a strip of screen the length of the soffit which included 4 sides of the house and carport. The screen edges are covered by a flat molding to cover the edges for a finished look. The molding has to be removed, screen removed, screen replaced, molding replaced and painted. We had inquired of several re-screening companies and they only did pools or told us we would need to change to an aluminum porch. Mike didn't hesitate to say he could do what we wanted and needed to have done. We didn't think the base of the house needed painting but then determined it also was needed. Mike came back in May to paint the base. He hand painted the entire base and window trim in two days. Actually, all painting was hand painted. Nothing was spray painted. Everything looked great. But we were not quite finished with Mike. Before Mike left we asked if he could give us another estimate to replace the front porch metal post. Mike could not locate the front porch metal post in Tampa. He then went online and found the post and gave us the cost for the post and his cost to install and paint. He will install and paint them as soon as company delivers. Thanks Mike your are "A" class!

He came out took measurements, gave estimate and recommendations on where to order door. then came back out remeasured to ensure accuracy, door was ordered and delivered. Mike came the same afternoon and installed the door with the new hardware and re-keyed the locks. He also removed the railing from my front entry way at no extra charge. He then cleaned up the debris and hauled the old doors away. Best handyman EVER, His professionalism is second to none! I already have several other jobs for him to do!!!

Michael was wonderful. He was professional, on-time, courteous and provided great services. Michael started with the kitchen floor ceramic tiles. Removing tile is never a fun job, but Michael did a great job with removing and laying down new ceramic kitchen tile. He then moved on to do the kitchen backsplash (taverstine). Again, he did an amazing job. Better than I had imaged. He put the grout on both tile jobs and they look great. Michael made quick work with removing and installing a new ceiling fan. Would I use Michael again? Absolutely. Thanks again Michael!!

I called 3 weeks ahead and he set a date to come out. He arrived right on time and we went through my list of "to do", and at my request told me the cost of each one so I could stay on budget. I agreed on the cost and even went to Lowes with me to get all materials need and make sure we got the right ones.Even tho we kinda got a late start because of the time spent going overand the "to do " list and the trip to the store he got right to work and only stopped a few minutes for a quick lunch.We even had to make a second trip to the store for an additional purchase. In all he was at my house almost 8 hrs ,but everything done and a couple of times when there was a "snag " he stayed calm and worked through the problem. Rarely do you find a person like Mike how is fair and honest and will call on him again and refer him to all my friends. Thanks again Mike

Communication with Mike was outstanding. He responded quickly and showed up exactly at the time that he set up. He was very friendly and personable. He quickly got to work and cleaned up after he was finished. He worked diligently on the screen door and did not give up until it was perfect. I will use him again.

We called to get a quote for repairing our 15 year old wooden fences. the call was answered promptly, staff was very professional and friendly, we sent in pictures to show the damage so we would get a better idea how much the job was cost, and we received quote back in the same day. The price was reasonable, however, we decided to postpone the project due to other issues. but we would definitely check back with Mike's.

The walks and drive way and walls look great. The eave vents are perfect {he had to drill holes in the rafters that blocked some of the vent openings so he could insert the vent hooks}. The gate can be opened and shut without effort

Mike responded quickly and professionally to what I needed to have done. He offered precise estimates with "before" photos of what needed to be done along with "after" photos of his completed work. I'm a property manager and have had trouble finding a reliable handyman in the past but now I think I've got my guy!

My wife and I've used Mike's Handyman Services so many times in the past that I've lost count. He is an absolute delight to work with. He is the consummate professional and he always seems to care about the quality of work he performs. His fees are absolutely fair to us and he never makes us feel that we're being taken advantage of. Michael is definitely a breath of fresh air, to say the least. My wife and I can't recommend his professional services/expertise enough. Thanks, Michael. As usual, you did a wonderful job!

We've utilized Michael's expertise on numerous occasions. As always, he arrived when he was supposed to, worked efficiently from start-to-finish, and cleaned up after himself before he left for the day. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Michael. As a member of Angie's List (going on 3 years now), we have plenty of choices when it comes to finding a handyman, but the times we do require these services, we always go with Michael (a rather easy decision to make, honestly). It's easy to tell that he takes pride in his work, and takes his job seriously. That said, he is very easy to talk to, and is eager to please. In closing, I have to say that Michael does wonderful work, completing each and every task (no matter how big or small) with a meticulousness that's lost on many "professionals" nowadays. **Approx. cost includes materials**

It was very good. He is very punctual and very professional. He is available which is a good thing. He actually came back 2 other times for other tasks. He does it on time and perfectly.

Mike does excellent work. The kitchen faucet was installed perfectly. While he had the leaf blower out blowing off my roof, he blew off my driveway, too! I need the wax ring replaced under my toilet. Mike suggested I get a whole new toilet since replacing the wax ring will cost just as much as getting a new water saving toilet installed. He told me the brand of toilet to get and where to get it. Upon consulting with Consumer Reports, the toilet Mike recommended is a Consumer Reports Best Buy. Besides being very knowledgeable, Mike is very neat and takes pride in his work.
