Mike's Handyman Services

Finally got around to writing a review of Mike after using his service earlier in the year. He is a true professional and knows his stuff. He repaired, fixed, corrected, and advised me on about 15 different issues that I was having trouble with at my house. Too much to describe in detail but Mike spent the whole day working on things for this very picky customer. Very satisfied with his work and I will definitely hire Mike again.

Outstanding job! The fence is standing tall again, and the owner is ecstatic. I highly recommend him!

I hired Mike on November 1, 2016 to clean my gutters. He is professional, punctual and inexpensive. I would re-hire him in a heat beat. He is now my go to person!

Mike did an excellent job of repairing the drywall and painting the affected areas. I am very pleased with the finished work. It looks like the plumbers were never here. He is very pleasant, detailed oriented, and easy to communicate with. Mike came to my home and worked up an estimate. The price was agreed upon. He gave me a start date and was there both days right on time. Mike cleaned the areas where he worked. I am very pleased with his professionalism and was impressed that he carried in his portfolio documentation on his license and insurance and presented to me a business when I met him at the door. Mike was professional, prompt and courteous. He was very comfortable to communicate my wishes to. He offered me options and assisted me in making the decisions. Mike was very clean and precise while completing each task. Every task was completed perfectly as requested.

It turned out that the damage was more extensive than just the baseboard, and so the original request had to be upgraded. There was old damage remaining from before I owned the house, apparently and a couple of beams and drywall had to be replaced. Mike patched up what he could and came back another day to finish up the job with the hope that there wasn't more damage lurking. There wasn't and the wall looks fantastic! Mike was on time, friendly, patient with my dog who was baying at him constantly, and reasonable. He was methodical in his work and it shows. More importantly, he returned my calls and/or emails. There are a couple of vendors who claim that no job is too small, but I sense that is not really true, with the exception of Mike.

Mike is an absolute joy to work with. We had 3 rooms where the subfloor had been compromised in various ways, and as a result, walking on the floor was like riding a roller coaster--up and down and up and down. We were actually getting dizzy and losing our balance just in walking on these surfaces. Mike arrived on time, and immediately went to work. He pulled up the floor, tore out the insulation that was either wet or unusable in some other way, and replaced the rotted, moldy, and/or wet subfloor (particle board) with plywood, then carefully and expertly replaced our floors. We had been told by other people that we would need new floors. In total, we had to replace maybe 5 planks of laminate. I would recommend Mike to anyone who wants a great job done, and a great guy to work with.

I am an out of town landlord and this is the second project he has done for me. He is trustworthy, detail oriented and organized. He helped me save money as well. I would continue to use him as needed!

Mike arrived on time and was very pleasant and courteous. First he replaced two ballast in the kitchen and three in our garage. The florescent light in the attic needed to be wired correctly and once he did that it came on without having to replace the ballast. Next he removed the old caulking from around the bottom of our shower and replaced it with new caulking. He also emailed me an estimate on doing some tile work in our house, back splash and floor tile. Mike did an excellent job for a reasonable price and we would use his services again in the future.

Mike is very knowledgable about various home improvement ideas. He is also courteous and professional. Regarding the work done in my home, he did a great job! The following is a list of the labor items performed: 1. Replaced hardware (hinges and door handles) on 13 interior doors, including new rollers for and existing pocket door between the master bedroom and bathroom, as the existing hardware was outdated. He also changed the hardware and bolt lock to a 14th door, which opened to the back patio. 2. Installed a pocket door to a laundry room, which created more space to the small room due to the removal of the swing door. 3. Installed drawer slides on 3 kitchen cabinet drawers. We had constant issues with certain drawers rolling out, so this was a very convenient resolve. 4. Added a rubber block to the entry double door threshold. There had been a gap of ~1/2" x 1/2" at the bottom of the entry doors where the doors met due to the original install of the doors by a different company a couple years ago and now this is resolved. 5. Adjusted 3 doors that were sagging and aligned them. The doors were either beginning to rub against another door or against the floor before the adjustments. 6. Replaced an interior flush mount light. 7. Replaced an exterior patio light.

Michael as always arrived on time and got the cabinet doors and hardware installed very quickly. Next he installed the frames around each mirror. My kichen and bathrooms now look udpated and more modern. Last thing I had him do was hang a heavy ornamental pig/bell that I had gotten at Pottery Barn in my kitchen.

When I first contacted Mike through email on Angies List, it only took a couple hours for him to respond. That made an excellent first impression. That's by far and away the fastest response I've had from any Angies List providers I've contacted. He arrived precisely on time to give his free estimate, and when he arrived to do the work, his timing was on the button. It took him about a day and a half to finish the job. But, when he was finished, the walls were in perfect condition for me to paint. He's thorough both with his work and cleaning up afterward. Yeah, he's a bit pricey, but his work is worth it. I don't know what all else he does, but if you want your wall paper removed, you should certainly consider him. And, based on the way he works, I'm sure he'll do a good job.

Mike spent 4 hours in our home taking down large window cornices and valances. He then installed new window rods and fixed some blinds in our home. He was very professional and did a great job. I will be contacting Mike again for other handyman services.

Michael and his helper did a nice job on our fence replacement and removing the old wood loft so that a garage door could be installed. He was responsive and did the work as promised. We will use him again on future projects.

Can't say enough good things about Mike. He is very professional and punctual. He returned our calls / E-mails promptly even calling if he was going to be a few minutes late! His work is professionally done with thought and attention to detail. Mike did an amazing job on our front entryway. After removing the very old tile floor, he replaced the tile . We wanted our screen enclosure modified when replaced to keep dirt and water out of the entry. He was able to design it, making it look beautiful and functional. He replaced a security door with a new door knob and lock on it. He also installed new weather stripping along the door to provide a tight seal. We had a new AC installed earlier in the year and the bi-fold door and frame was damaged during installation of the air handler. Mike repaired the frame and is in the process of researching some way to replace the return cover that the AC company installed as the existing one is ugly!. Mike did some little fixes for us at no charge such as adjusting a sliding screen door, replaced a pin in a bi-fold door, etc. He offered suggestions on how we could do some other minor fixes ourselves! I would definitely call on Mike again! Thank You Mike, for your expert service

I had to wait a couple of weeks for him to be available, because I guess he is popular, but the work was done beautifully. I would definitely hire him again.

Mike is a true professional. He communicates well and does what he says with a positive can do attitude. I added several other small requests to the list after he arrived and he managed to get everything done in the time he had allotted. He is very capable in a wide range of tasks. It is hard to find a good handyman that knows what he is doing and will do what you ask. You will not be disappointed with Mike.

Honestly, Mike is the best. The quality of his work is outstanding, he is completely reliable and trustworthy... so much so that he has complete access to our home when he is working on our projects. I continue to use Mike for all of my home improvement projects.

I found Mike on Angie's List last year and was very pleased with his work. In June, I decided to re-do my home office, but didn't have time to install the floor. I called Mike and he came over, gave me an estimate, and scheduled the job for the next week. When the big day arrived, he was on time, very professional, and was extremely meticulous about the work. The floor is beautiful, and I couldn't have gotten the project done on time without Mike. I can't say enough good things about him!
