Brown's Screening Inc

I met with their salesman Jay and reviewed what I was looking for in the screening. Jay saw the area and made notes and suggestions. The questions Jay asked me were nothing I though of but great questions to get to the heart of what I wanted. Jay was accomodating as to the pitch on the screen and even the type of screen being used. (I was not aware of the differences in the screens where one type keeps out the itsy bitsy bugs and the other type doesn't.) When it came time to start the job, I met with Jay and James , the owner. They reviewed what I was looking for and the dimensions were confirmed. The project was completed well within my guidelines for a finish date and it looks beautiful. I would use Brown's Screening in the future if I ever need work like this done. James and Jay have both been approachable and easy to deal with.

Had trouble getting James out to provide an estimate. He was about 100 dollars higher than another I had but since he was much closer to me, and I had used him previously to do my daughter's house, I went with him. Showed up as scheduled and did the gutter and screen work as planned. I had wanted him to install a dog door in the screen door. When he quoted me the price for screening and gutter he stated that he was not positive of the cost for the door but would get it and install it. Estimated about $150 dollars. When he completed the larger portion of the job he stated that he had not yet gotten the dog door but would do so and be back and quot;next weekand quot;. After calling him for 3 weeks in a row, the last week he would not pick up my calls nor return my calls, I said screw it and bought and installed the dog door myself. Very unprofessional. If you do use him I would strongly recommend that you not pay him untill all aspects of the job are completed.
