My next door neighbor recommended Bayou Lawn Services when we moved to the area in 2012. They also cut and maintained her lawn. The first 1.5 years went pretty well. The workers came every two weeks and did a very good job on the lawn. The trouble started when I tried to get a quote to redo my mulching. I tried through the work "foreman" at least three times to get a quote, and each time he said he'd have the owner call me, but I never got a call. Finally, I tried calling the main office directly, and while I left messages 2-3 times with no reply, I eventually got through to the manager, who said he'd provide me a quote. I never received one and finally made other arrangements to do the mulching. The next issue came up when I returned from a spring break vacation to a lawn with large areas of matted down leaves that had been there for over a month. They had needed to be raked and removed before I left, but Bayou was due in the next few days, so I wasn't too worried. When I returned and the same leaves and more were now there, I called to verify that Bayou had come the previous week. The manager assured me they had, and that during this time of year, the leaves fall so fast and frequently that you could remove them one day, and the next day it would look like you hadn't done anything. I checked under some of the leaf piles, and while grass was growing everywhere around the piles, the area underneath them was bare! I raked them myself because it looked so bad. The next time the workers came out to do the lawn, I chatted with the foreman, and he explained that they had NOT done my lawn when they were scheduled to do so two weeks ago! He explained that they did my neighbor's lawn, but then it started to rain, so they couldn't do mine. So they just skipped doing it....and never tried coming back in the next few days to make it up. To top it off, when I received my bill for that month, they even charged me for the time they didn't come! I called the manager and left a message that I was not paying for something that the foreman told me they didn't do, and I was cancelling my service. My lawn has never come back (although the manager told me it would) and now I need to resod the yard due to the large bare patches. Incidentally, my neighbor who recommended them to me also started having trouble with them and has also cancelled their service.

After several emails and texts, we agreed on a price. Took another couple of weeks for the work to start because it was their busy season. The work was done over a two week period, by several different crews. I was impressed at how hardworking they all were and they did a great job.

They were quite a bit lower than the other bids I received. Response time was almost instantaneous. Called for bid at noon one day and they gave their bid that afternoon. Approved work to be started the next day. The following day they were onsite at daybreak and completed the cutting and debris removal that day and ground the stumps the following day. The clean up was outstanding. There service was totally professional in every aspect and their charges were extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend them for any service you need to have performed.

Bayou Lawn Service failed to return a phone call after two voicemails left during regular business hours. I have no reason to think that they'd do a bad job if they were hired, but also had no reason to hire them if they can't even return a simple phone call.

They do a nice job.

Initially, the experience was good. Someone came by and gave us an estimate, and we agreed to use this company. Then the mowing of the grass began, but these folks mow the yard right down to the nub. Yes, they do a quick job of it, but I didn't see them making any adjustments to the length of the grass remaining or considering the time of the year when they were mowing. They pick up after themselves, but they come first thing in the morning--very loud for a residential neighborhood. The problems began when I contacted them to stop cutting my grass. My wife and I left many messages, but none were returned. I even left a message asking if someone could come to look at our sprinkler system--no response. We wrote a note on one month's bill for them to contact us because we weren't happy, but the mowing continued. The last bill we received, which I paid yesterday, March 5, said that we were one month behind in our payments, but we had never received a January bill. Be that as it may, we paid everything we were told we owed, and I contacted the accounting department. I alerted the man who answered the phone that the company was losing our business because they simply did not communicate at all with us. We are having our yard redone, and we probably would have considered having this company do the job, but it lost our business permanently. The man on the other end of the line apologized, but it seemed perfunctory more than anything else. I am now using Angie's List to find another company that can be more responsive to our needs and more respective of our wishes.

Bayou Lawn does excellent work and their crew is pleasant and easy to deal with.

They hit my parked truck with a cover on it, but the Supervisor gave me 12 months of free service.

I did some research and initially called Bayou Lawn and Landscape Services based on some limited reviews and proximity. I called and had to leave a message but was called back in a reasonable time. Talked with Bruce and explained what I needed and was very customer focused from the first encounter talking with him. I was in the process of transferring to the area and getting the family settled into the new house before I joined them 7 weekd later. The crew Bruce assigned to my yard did a tremendous job at yaking care of the lawn during this time. Crew was prompt, professionally, and did a great jiob at producing a well manicured lawn eaxh time. Definetly plan to use them in the future when I have to travel, etc. Great service and value for the cost.

I would recommend them to anyone. They are just excellent in everything. The price that they charged me is an awesome one. They were a great value for the money.

They are very professional. They are really good. They come twice a week for me.

They do regular maintenance on our lawn as well. They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. They were fast and easy to work with. One of the owners came over to our house, spoke with us and even discussed ways we could save money; which was obviously to our benefit and not his. The only delay was due to the weather which was out of their control. All of the workmen were pleasant and the job turned out beautiful. I will continue to use them again in the future.
