Tony advised me that the crew would be at the house the first day of demolition at 8:30am and they were there at exactly 8:30am. Tarps were laid down from the bathroom to the outside to minimize any damage to carpet and tile floor during the work. The crew removed the old glass door, tile and drywall from all sides to include the ceiling. Outside the enclosure where the water had weeped into to drywall was also removed as well as the baseboard and 2 vertical 2x4's that were damaged due to water intrusion, these were replaced at this time. The step into the shower was also removed and was explained to be like a sponge when removed. The next day the crew showed up and replace all drywall removed with quality Hardybacker cement board. The following 3 days involved putting the new shower valve in, redoing the cement pan, laying new tile, grouting, installation of the new soap dish and 2 shelves along with a towel rack. There was a misunderstanding with the shower door and a new one had to be ordered. Once this information was passed on to Tony, his son Matt showed up within an hour with a new shower curtain rod and shower curtain so the kids could use the shower while the new door was enroute. It showed up several days later and was installed the same day it was received. I can't say enough about Tony, Matt and all of his crew. They were all very polite and answered all of my questions. Tony and Matt worked with me during the process and made suggestions that turned out to be the right ones. They cleaned up every day and there was never a mess left behind. I would highly recommend Tony Ray to anyone that needs work on their home. I am more than pleased with the outcome of the work that was done. Superlative work. Job well done Tony and Matt.

My wife and I purchased a home in a beautiful location about a year ago. When we purchased the house, we knew it needed extensive work to bring the electrical and plumbing up to code, and also to remedy years of neglect. We interviewed several contractors and decided on Tony Ray, and it was the best decision we ever made. Tony worked with us throughout the process as we tore up floors, tore down walls, installed windows, installed new heat, AC, plumbing, electrical, and just about everything else you can think of. Tony listened to our ideas, and he came back with his suggestions as to how we could best achieve our goals while keeping prices reasonable. We expected to find some surprises with this old house, and sure enough we did. Tony was great at helping us address these surprises in a budget-friendly manner. Tony's team of carpenters and building professionals turned this run-down house into a house that elicits gasps of disbelief from neighbors that had seen it previously. I'm almost getting used to it, but it's hard to believe the transition that Tony and his team made. We went from popcorn ceilings, rolling floor, mismatched wall sheetrock, and just about everything else imaginable to a dream craftsman-style home that looks like it's out of a magazine. I can't say enough about Tony Ray - he's a consummate professional, easy to work with, very innovative and knowledgeable, and dead-on honest. I doubt that I'll ever again do a project of this magnitude, but if I do, I'll call Tony - I don't think we could have done any better. He turned what could have been a very stressful experience into a very enjoyable one.

The entire project went smooth as silk with the exception of obtaining the necessary approvals from the HOA, which had nothing to do with the contractor. The construction quality was top notch and Tony himself was frequently on the job overseeing work. All the workmen were polite and professional. Tony spent some time with me to assure that there were no misunderstandings about the job specs. He was happy to take whatever time was necessary to see that every possible detail was addressed in the design, then followed through to make sure the end product matched the specifications exactly. We live in a deed restricted community which requires all construction to match the look, feel and color of the existing structure and it is virtually impossible to tell the the new garage was not part of the original construction. Many of my neighbors have commented on the great appearance of the final product and the short construction timeline. I had one minor concern about the concrete. A few hours after the slab was poured we had a very heavy rain. I called Tony the next morning about 9 am to express my concern and, to my amazement, he said he had already been out that morning to inspect the slab and saw no issues. I was still concerned, so Tony provided me a letter guaranteeing the slab for an additional 2 years. Tony Ray finished the job on time (with the exception of the HOA hang-up - again, not their fault) and UNDER budget. Hire this guy! You will not be disappointed!

We called them back after the first estimate to hire and they wanted to have someone else do a second more detailed estimate. We set up a time and they came by but never provided the estimate. We even called a couple times to follow up, but we never heard back. I got the sense that they are a good company and just really busy, but it would have been nice to get a call saying we are just too busy to take your job right now, Update: communication went basically as stated by Tony. Phasing was discussed during the more detailed estimate. I did not receive the 12/22 email. I had a phone conversation with a gentleman who was not Tony and told him how we'd like the phases structured, but we never received an updated quote. When we received the 1/14 quote,at our request to submit to insurance, it was the original quote, with no new quote information or anything in the message to indicate that we should expect the new quote. The reference to multiple quotes were for 1. Putting the bathroom back to the way it was and 2. Moving it around to the plumbing configuration that I really wanted. Both options were originally quoted. Again - probably a good place. It's easy to lose phone messages and accidentally mess up communication on anyone's end.

Work went very smoothly, no interruption in our day to day business.

He was very good, very responsive. He ended up remodeling the floors and the house and a whole bunch of stuff. He took the time to understand what we wanted and tried to give us that.

Finished job was within quote, plus additional cost of work added after start of work. Crew was friendly and professional. They arrived on time and job was completed in timely manner. Concerned with customer's final satisfaction. Would definitely hire again.

Master bath was remodeled which included installation of a double sink cabinet with granite counter top, sink and plumbing, tear out of old jet tub and install of 300 lb cast iron tub with faucets and plumbing, close in an outside window and stucco/paint applied, built custom shower with built in exhaust fan,shower nooks, custom breadboard work on exterior of shower,with matching breadboard applied to towel closet, stainless hunter fan installed, LED lighting installed, painted bath and adjacent bedroom, install custom cabinet and granite countertop in adjacent bedroom. Hands down best contractor in Brevard County

My husband and I interviewed Tony last fall for our kitchen overhaul. We were immediately impressed with his vast knowledge and sense of calm as we discussed the many variables we were looking at for our remodel. We had planned to completely redesign the kitchen/breakfast nook area which was a major job. Tony went to great measures to ensure all of the necessary structural modifications were well thought out, engineered professionally, and executed flawlessly. There were several issues we found after the kitchen was gutted but Tony and his team knew exactly how to handle them and put us at ease knowing that they would be taken care of correctly and we would never have to worry about them again. The remodel took about three months to complete due to the complexity of the job, product order times, and holidays. However, it was well worth the wait! Tony was very responsive during the entire time and kept the job moving as quickly as possible. His team also did their best to keep our home as clean as possible since we were living there during the construction. Although we ended up having to cover some additional unexpected costs (previous home owners had made some questionable modifications), Tony was always honest with us on the price and we know he was concerned with correcting the problems, not making money on them. Overall, I would recommend Tony and his crew in a second. In fact, I have done so already with several friends and I hope they enjoy working with him as much as we did. Tony will be our go-to contractor for many years to come.

Tony was very informative when he came to assess the property by clearly explaining what he could do and making recommendations on how to save costs.

We contacted Tony Ray Homes based upon a co-workers recommendation and ratings in Angie's List. Unfortunately, our home is outside their 'service area', however, they were so helpful to us. They promptly returned our calls and provided help and suggestions about how to proceed with our renovation project. They seemed very concerned that we would be able to find someone to help us. It was very refreshing to find a company willing to help even if they were not going to be able to perform the job.

All of Tony's crews and subs were on time and very professional. They didn't leave any mess behind and did not abuse access to our home. We had some delays from the holidays, permit problems and his whole crew catching the flu, but the finished product was exeptional.

Tony Ray Homes worked us into a busy schedule and did the work well and on time. Our only issue occurred when we requested an estimate on another job. Tony reviewed the task and promised an estimate within a couple days. When that time passed we reminded him, and then reminded him again after some additional days before giving up on getting an estimate. He does good professional work but is perhaps too busy with larger jobs to be a good choice for smaller ones.

Great work! Tony is a hands on general contractor. He personally did the site survey, discussed the technical solution and managed the team on a daily basis to ensure the correct solution and quality. On one occasion with the dryer venting I had a suggestion for an alternate approach. He fully supported it providing a high quality solution. The team is prompt and courteous. He engineered and installed an innovative solution for "draining" the wash tub and washer water by adding a small pump under the sink, which pushed the water through the attic to the bathroom vent. This straight forward and clean solution prevented the tile from being tore up to establish a path to the kitchen sewer/drain. I received several bids to my request for proposal and Tony's price was by far the best with the same technical solution. He provides a best quality for price. I would have Tony do work for me again.

The workers were all on time. The contractor, Matt Kay, was very involved, even with changes I made in materials. The original quote was close to the final price. Upgrades I did: used glass tile for the shower, 1"X2", and clapboard siding for the walls and ceiling.

Tony and his guys showed up on time and gave us a timetable for his work. All the work was done perfectly! Tony and his crew. Once the work was done they left the area as clean As it was before hand. Tony Ray Homes did an AMAZING job in quality of work and job completion. He was right on with the time estimate he gave us, which was outstanding and very important to us. My husband noted that during the initial meeting and showing of the house, Tony and Matt worked very seamlessly-Tony took meticulous notes while Matt measured. Both offered ideas well within our budget which we had not considered. The estimate was very specific, detailed, and timely. It was the most professional that we had received from the contractors we considered. Once work began we drove by the house and very often there would be workers on the weekend as well as during the week. He has a crew of workers that are extremely knowledgeable professional and cared about our house and respectful of our small children in our family. Most of the work was done before we moved in but some was completed afterward. Matt always communicated to let us know when to expect workers and what work would be done. Steve explained the work he completed and let us know the "why" to it, example - the foyer ceiling. The few number of subcontractors he used all had known and worked with Tony for many many years. Amazing. The carpenter for our fireplace and book shelf had worked with him for over 25 yrs! Everyone that we came into contact with voluntarily had very high praise for Tony. There was one glitch which was not his fault. Tony represented us and got the problems resolved. The kitchen cabinet company did not have the same attention to detail and quality installation as Tony practices. However, Tony took ownership and sought to get the issue resolved to our satisfaction. Tony Ray is extremely humble especially given how good he is at his work.

Outstanding, from the beginning Tony was always in contact, would return calls immediatley and keep me informed. He would also offer advise on choices and pros and cons. His crew worked very quickly, always cleaned up after each and every day. Sometimes you would not know they were there that day or not. They left each day with everything picked up or stacked neatly. All the crew were very polite and responsive. Stayed on schedule despite some materials backordered etc. Overall, this was the best contractor I have ever worked with. The craftsmanship was outstanding. Much attention to detail. I love showing off my remodel and renovation.
