+ -1 moreSecurity Networks was recently acquired by Monitronics. I'm not sure which one is to blame, but they lock out their equipment so that no one can come in and take it over. This results in a $150 - $200 added cost if you decide to switch. Just warning people that a) you have to sign a long-term contract and b) your equipment will be unusable by anyone else should you decide to switch. Also keep in mind that they are based in Florida, not Atlanta. I'm not sure where Monitronics is based.
Description of Work: Took over alarm service several years ago, have been monitoring for several years (thanks to a 5-year contract that I unknowingly signed).
