The service went very well. Mike was an hour early and was able to come out the next day. He was very thorough and we were very, very pleased with his service. We would use them again.

I purchased a new toilet from Lowes and called Richard to schedule a time to install it. Michael came early on Monday morning with a helper and determined immediately that the one I purchased was broken inside the box. They recommended I return it to Lowes then go to Hydrologic and purchase one there. They loaded the broken one into my car and I proceeded to Lowes and returned it, then on to Hydrologic and bought a new one. Michael and his helper had gone on to another call while I was away so I called them and they came back in a short time. The removal of the old toilet and the installation of the new one was flawless and at a reasonable price, just like the other times I have used them. Highly recommend this small company.

He came quickly with the right equipment, cleared the drain quickly, was pleasant and polite, and charged a very reasonable price.

I have used this company several times with no issues. This time, the owner was having surgery and would send his asst. Guy was supposed to be here on Thurs or Fri. No call until 4:00pm Fri. He did show up Monday am. Never saw him again. Had to call another company. Will not use them unless the owner contacts me and shows up himself

I had previously sent a picture of the faucet to Richard so he knew which cartridge to bring with him. Richard arrived early for the 8:00 AM appointment and, after turning off the water to our house, started to remove the cartridge from the bathtub faucet in out upstairs bathroom. The screw that holds the cartridge would not come out so he had to saw off the handle. He finished the job in a short time and I was very pleased with his work. I would definitely use him again if needed and I highly recommend him.

wanted the business, came in early however the fist thing he mentioned was that he could not give me a price, I had some urgency and he took advantage of that. Not honest with price, will never hire him again, be careful.

You ask for more characters..more details etc. Irefuse to complete another of your surveys! I don’t have time to redo and get frustrated! I complete for other vendors and none are like yours.

Came out the same day I called to fix a leaking up stairs toilet piping - leaking down through the floor to ceiling on first floor level. Did a great job - problem solved. Had him install a new sink faucet last year - again a great job. You should hire him for plumbing work.

Richard squeezed me into his schedule on short notice and took care of problem while I was away. Thanks so much for the quick response.

Everything was top-notch. Prices were fair and Michael was great. He completed everything as quoted with no issues. We now have a new water heater and my wife and daughter will no longer be complaining about running out of hot water! Thanks, guys!

Repair was completed perfectly. Quick problem solving on his part and excellent service. My wife said he was very polite. He is now our go to for all matters plumbing.

Richard and crew came out the next day nice and early and got the job done in no time - they even had the parts on the truck so no need to shop around. fast, professional and excellent work.

It was exceptionally fast service for replacing our hot water heater. Mike arrived first and began preparing unit to be replaced. Richard then arrived with a new HWH replacement. It was an emergency situation so I was especially pleased with the prompt service provided as I had made a few other calls to Angie's list plumbers that early morning and no other company had been answering calls yet. I do have Richard coming back tomorrow to check on the new heater based on some concerns I've had with the temperature control. With this said I wasn't sure how to rate the quality of the product. This goes for the price of the heater as well as I hadn't had any comparisons. He did remind me there was a 10% coupon I could print from Angies website so that was appreciated as well. Overall we have been very pleased with Sturgeon Plumbing.

I had to leave a message and in less than a hour Richard called me back. I explained what was going on and he said he was available to come within 30 minutes. He was here in about 20 minutes. After looking at the toilet he showed me that the problem was with the flapper. He put a new one in and it is working fine. I really appreciated how quickly he returned my call and the prompt service that he provided. I will definitely call him for any further plumbing problems and would recommend him.

Appreciated the quick scheduling. Fixed the outside leak and also fixed the mess that was under the kitchen sink. My garbage disposal does not back up into the other side of the sink. Had two other plumbers look at it but did not resolve issue. Great job definitely would hire again.

They come right away. He always comes the same day. I've never had any problems. They are always pleasant.

HE WAS WONDERFUL. HE KNOWS PLUMBING AND ADVISED ME ON KEEPING THINGS IN TIP TOP SHAPE. IT TOOK ONLY 45 MIN. FOR HIM TO COME TO MY HOME. THIS IS AT 8 AM ON A FRIDAY.

On April 20th, 2017, Richard Sturgeon and his associate, Mike, replaced the mixing valve cartridge in my quest shower. On April 30th, I noticed floating water in the bathroom, which had also leaked down into the apartment below. Finding no source of the water, I assumed it was a plumbing leak and called the homeowners association. They sent a plumber who found the source of the damage was the replaced cartridge. I contacted Richard and explained that there was extensive to my apartment and to the one below, both to the floors and inside the walls and he agreed to file a claim with his insurance company. He then send his associate, Mike, to take a look. Mike found that 2 of the 3 screws securing the cartridge were loose. The cartridge fit snugly and the one tight screw had been enough to keep the cartridge properly seated temporarily, but in time, worked it's way loose. Mike tightened the screws, and the leak stopped. The next morning, Debbie [last name removed], of Stahl Insurance, called to tell me that Richard was now claiming the work had initially been done properly, and that mysteriously the two screws had worked their way loose on their own and that I should now file a claim with my insurance carrier. Of course, having destroyed the evidence of their negligence, I now have no proof that they are at fault. I have a $3000 deductible, so having trusted a relatively simple plumbing repair to Richard Sturgeon Plumbing, I am now out several thousand dollars. I didn't let the plumber who found the source fix it, because I didn't want to destroy the evidence and I only allowed Mike to do so because Mike had given his word that he would be responsible for the repairs. This is only one job, and I can't say that he's not a good plumber, but he has no integrity and is not to be trusted. Update: Subsequent to posting this review, I submitted a complaint, through the Angie’s List Complaint Resolution process. I was assisted, by Ms. Stephanie [last name removed], an Angie’s List Complaint Resolution Representative, who was professional, helpful and very compassionate. She contacted Mr. Sturgeon, who offered a settlement of $287, while denying any liability. He stated that, after the leak when “We came out and found that someone else had been working on same faucet because it was partially taken apart and there were more new parts for faucet not previously there. With someone else touching the faucet we can't say who's fault it was. We contact our insurance company and he was contacted.” All of which intentionally misleading. He may have contacted his insurance company, and I was contacted…but not by them, I was contacted by his insurance agent, who said that Mr. Sturgeon would not stand behind his work. As Mr. Sturgeon knew, the person who had worked on the faucet was an employee of I Find Leaks, a company that traces the sources of leaks. As they were only called in when I already had a puddle in my hall, any work they did, could not have caused the problem. The ‘more new parts’ was a shower handle…on this shower, changing the handle involves removing a single screw and the old handle, putting on the new handle, and replacing the screw, it doesn’t involve even removing the trim, forget about getting at the loose screws, behind the trim, inside the wall…which again Mr. Sturgeon knows, as he had worked on this faucet. It is IMPOSSIBLE that either of these actions could have caused the leak…nor could the screws have loosed themselves. It is obvious to me, that Mr. Sturgeon or his associate fully tightened one of the three screws, leaving the other two only partially tightened…the one tight screw was adequate to temporarily produce a water tight seal, which loosened over time. I declined Mr. Sturgeon’s offer…I’ve learned to depend on the honest reviews posted on Angie’s List and decided to repay that advice by allowing this warning to remain, permitting the subscriber to determine where the truth lies.

It went fantastic. The repair job looks great and the cost was reasonable. We actually were waiting for a call back from another estimate... but, Richard's professionalism over the phone was a deciding factor on why we chose him to complete the job. Nathan Lumpkin

Great job done in a short amount of time. Michael was super knowledgeable in what he was doing. Did an excellent job. He was very nice and explained what he was doing. Very pleased with the work and would definitely use them again. I would highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

I called this AM and were out to house by 2 PM. Work was completed by 2:30 and price was excellent. Service men were very professional and friendly.. Sorry I did not get their names. Toilet again functioning normally and sink is unplugged.

Richard came in and did his magic. It turned out the disposal was jammed and with a trusted hex key, the jam was removed and the disposal worked great. Simple solution that saved me a couple of hundred dollars.
