Bright House Networks is the sixth largest owner and operator of cable systems in the U.S. and the second largest in Florida with technologically advanced systems located in five states including Florida, Alabama, Indiana, Michigan and California.
I used Bright House, now Spectrum for 9 years with little problem until recently. My internet has become increasingly slow with more frequency, I also experience periods of outage on occasion. I have tried to resolve this by phone to no avail. Recently I logged into my account, only to be reminded how terrible the website is for finding information for anything other their myopic focus on sales of bundles. There was not even a way to cancel my service after logging into "MY SERVICES". I was told by email no less that I was "required to call their customer retention department to cancel service". Imagine- my internet service provider, tells ME that I must call their "RETENTION" dept to cancel. Who do they think they are??? I have to call them and argue with someone to cancel my service- forget it, I'm signed up with DISH now and I would not go back to Spectrum or Bright House for love or money. Shame on you Spectrum!!!

I ordered the 200 mg service based on the recommendation of the Bright house. I was told to expect 130 to 150 . I checked with the installer before he started and he assured me I was getting the 200 mg service. Installer ran a new wire across the house and put a new hole in the concrete wall .He wasn't able to connect to the box so he left 20 ft of cable across the top of the lawn . Said they would come next week to bury it ,. He didn't have time. He was he on his way out when I did a speed test . I was only able to get 18 to 20 mg download speed . He came back in . Told me that there was nothing he could do. He then took out all the equipment. I managed to get the internet back up but the phone still was down . I went to get him and he was gone, Spent the rest of the morning trying to get back to were I was . ATNT is charging me 49.00 to reconnect and it will be 7-10 day. Bottom line Bright house is as bad as ever Don't be fooled by the shine object they still stink at Customer service . They also still don't care . I have a hole in my house , a wire I don' want ruining the length of the house , no phone for a week and I am out 49.00 that I have to give to ATnT

Description of Work: Provided TV, internet, and phone. Very unreliable and intermittent. Phones and internet service almost never worked when needed. Maybe 60% uptime at best after numerous service calls. Poor quality service and bad customer service. Would not recommend.

Description of Work: Brighthouse installed cable, internet and digital phone service. Everything is working ok so far. I requested 60mps internet speed and am getting 80mps so I'm happy about that. I was initially quoted a monthly price for the requested services including taxes and fees and was billed more. I called and complained and had to talk with a manager who making the proper adjustment to my monthly bill. Make sure you get a bottom line quote and make them stick to it.

You would think we had lots of premium Chanel's such as hbo and stars. No only the old movies on on core I wish we had other alternatives for internet Unfortunately Brighthouse is the only one where I live.

Contacted customer service to determine if my existing modem could be used on the Brighthouse network. First review of the approved list, determined it wasn't a match; however the service representative placed me on hold and contacted a service technician. The service technician worked in the background and was able to activate my modem, saved me having to buy a new modem or pay the monthly rental changes.

I have been with them about 6 months and the service is pretty good. The internet service is pretty fast sometimes and then it slows down a little bit. I pay about $90 monthly.

Everything went very well. The tech knew exactly what he needed to do to get my internet connection running and running well.
Description of Work: A coax cable had to be run from the Brighthouse cable tap to the house. I had prepared for this eventuality when the house was built. The coax cable was run under the driveway in a conduit I put there for possible future use. It was quite simple and the technician was quite personable and knowledgeable. I also had wired the house for such eventuality as cable in my computer room. He had me up and running in a reasonably short time. All is well!! I give Brighthouse a pretty high rating in all categories.

I am thinking of switching this thing off forever! I paid extra to have turbo internet and it doesn't really "turbo" anything. I have to sit next to the router to use my laptop. It is terrible service. I had someone come out to look at it and they claimed that they fixed it but it was worse when they left. Then, he accused me of steeling his red cord when I found it later behind my TV. It was just a bad experience with this guy. Its been two months now and I need to call someone else but I just don't want to deal with it right now. I have not been happy while spending this much money.

Description of Work: I have been a Brighthouse customer for over 10 years. They provide cable TV, high speed internet and telephone. They encourage customers to "bundle" all their services so they can SAVE MONEY. I have watched my bill increase year after year, while they offer new customers low cost promotional offers. At one time we were the "new" customer and got a good low cost bundling package. After the year was up, so was the fabulous rate, and year after year we have watched our bill get to over $200.00 per month. I am now looking into AT&T's new cable and internet service. I object to companies giving their BEST price rates to new customers, rather than loyal customers that have been a customer for years. We don't have trouble with the service they provide, and they are prompt to come out if you have a problem, my major complaint is the cost. It is just too expensive!!!
