Doug Mudge arrived on time and explained all areas of concern with lots of detail. He is the best home inspector and I have used him 4 times on 4 home purchases.

They did a good job. It was a rushed job and they got it done right away.

Doug is reliable and we've used his service 3-4 times. He's extremely thorough. My husband is always present for the inspections and Doug always answers any questions he has. He turns the inspection reports around in a few days to a week depending on the time of year.

Doug answered my calls everytime, was flexible, showed up early, and was professional. On top of that, he charged a basic service fee of $480, but performed a number of other services at no additional charge. I specifically requested that he not perform the pool inspection to save some money, yet he still spent the time to give us some tips on issues he saw with the pool equipment. He didn't nickle and dime us, but rather took pride in the work he did to make sure we got a full, unfettered inspection. He was diligent (he was at the property for almost 3 hours), and gave a full and complete inspection report. My advice to the buyer: If you are a real estate agent or seller looking for a hack to signoff so the property can be sold easily, DO NOT HIRE DOUG. If you are a serious buyer, and want to protect yourself with a full, complete, inspection by a very knowledgeable guy, Doug is the guy you want. I've had 5 inspectors in my life for properties I've purchased, and none even come close to Doug in terms of knowledge, experience, professionalism, and diligence. He is truly customer focused, even if that means making enemies with the real estate agents. Thanks Doug for everything.

In my opinion, Doug is the very best. If you are buying or selling a property in the Keys, hire Doug. We purchased a condo and we were not able to attend the inspection. Doug did an extensive inspection of the entire unit and prepared an 82 page detailed report showing every particular issue, concern and problem. In fact, his report was so detailed, it enabled me to negotiate credits from the seller in order to finish some of the unfinished problem areas highlighted in his report. Given we were on a very tight timeline, he was very accomadating to work within our schedule. Thank you Doug.

I was not present at the inspection, but had a friend and my realtor present. I was very impressed by the inspector Doug Mudge, from the telephone conversations I had with him prior to the inspection. He took plenty of time to explain the process, the important things to consider regarding home inspections, and how his inspections differ from those of others in the area. For example, he advised his inspection would take longer than others my realtor might be accustomed to. Sure enough, my realtor was taken aback when I told her the inspector would be there for 3 to 4 hours. After I told her that I believe she did not plan to be there the whole time. I was happy to know Doug would be there for as long as it took to do a thorough job. Doug also uses advanced technology to look for moisture and other problems behind walls--something not many (if any) others are doing. He was also proud of how easy his completed report is to navigate, and I was in agreement with him. The report was very straightforward and easy to understand. It seemed to cover the important issues on the property, advising why they were issues and how to resolve them. Doug also inspected for insurance mitigation points, but did not charge me for that part of the inspection because there was work that needed to be done before any mitigation could be obtained. I was very happy with the work Accurate Home Inspections did, and believe my money was well spent. I would recommend Doug and his company without hesitation.

It took Doug two days to complete this property as it is a 4-plex consisting of four identical apartment units each containing about 1,000 sq feet. He did the inspection on two units that took him approximately 7 hours on one day then completed the inspection the following day for an additional 7 hours. His reports are ALWAYS extensive and contain every detail...good, bad or otherwise. Still can't say enough good things about this man's ability and work ethic. BRAVO DOUG.

I am 65, and this is the first time I have considered buying a home. Doug was recommended by my realtor, and so I called him up, not really knowing what a home inspection entails. Doug explained the whole process to me in some detail, and when I told him that I was up against a deadline he offered me a choice of days, and said the later date would be better for him because he was pretty darn busy; however, I had to say that the earlier date was better for me, given the deadline. He said he could squeeze me in! Doug met me at the property in question this morning, with a lot of information about the house already in hand. He thought the inspection should take 3-4 hours, and although I couldn't imagine him needing that much time it was indeed 4 hours by the time he was done, and all I can say is WOW, he was thorough, friendly, and could explain everything with such clarity. I also appreciate the fact that Doug has experience as a contractor, and believe that is an asset. Honestly, I can hardily recommend Doug to anyone who needs a home inspection!

My buyer customers were from out of town, and needed a trustworthy Contractor to thoroughly inspect the bank owned single family residence since they made the Offer and were closing "sight unseen". Doug Mudge of Accurate Home Inspections performed as promised and in a timely manner. The final report that was emailed to the buyers included detailed descriptions and pictures showing all of the positives and negatives of the property. Mr. Mudge spent time with the buyers on the phone explaining the important points of the report. On the day of inspection we discovered that the Bank did not have a key for the property. Mr. Mudge went above and beyond the call of duty and was able to gain access to the property (with the sellers permission) by setting a 25' extension ladder and shimmying through a second story window - which fortunately was not locked!! From my perspective as the buyers Broker, Doug does a great job of identifying and explaining the issues for my clients. Good information and knowledge of the issues is what they need and what they get with Accurate Home Inspections. The buyers are here in the Keys now and very happy with their purchase and excited about their new Florida Keys waterfront vacation home!

We received a phone call and the report was emailed to us with photos. A few days later we received the hard copy and bought the condo ! "A+" on everything ! Will absolutely use again !!!
