I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHAT I MIGHT BE IN FOR WHEN MR. SISCO TOLD ME THAT ''AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLATION IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE''. I HIRED CUSTOM BASED ON A PREVIOUS POSITIVE EXPERIENCE AND ON THE GREAT PRICE QUOTED. LIVE AND LEARN. THE PRICE WENT UP $200 AFTER IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CONDENSER PAD WAS TOO SMALL FOR THE NEW CONDENSER. AFTER OBTAINING A SECOND CONDENSER THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO FIT ON THE PAD AND DIDN'T--THE PAD HAD TO BE ENLARGED. THE PAD WAS ENLARGED WHILE I WAS AWAY FROM HOME AND WITHOUT PERMISSION. THE INSTALLERS DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT TO HOIST THE CONDENSER UP TO THE SECOND STORY LOCATION AFTER THE PAD WAS ENLARGED. THE FIRST AIR HANDLER DELIVERED WAS NOT THE VARIABLE SPEED I HAD REQUESTED AND HAD TO BE RETURNED. MR. SISCO STOPPED RETURNING CALLS AFTER PROBLEM #1 LEAVING HIS INSTALLERS TO RESOLVE ALL ENSUING PROBLEMS INCLUDING ARRANGING FOR A NEEDED CARPENTER. IT WAS A GOOD PRICE BUT NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION. IT DEFINITELY WASN'T PROFESSIONALLY HANDLED.
Description of Work: INSTALLATION OF A 3 TON RHEEM HEAT PUMP SPLIT SYSTEM. A PROMISED 6 HOUR INSTALL ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND TURNED INTO A WEEK LONG STEAMY NIGHTMARE. THE INSTALLERS WORKED HARD BUT IT APPEARS THAT THEY WERE GIVEN THE WRONG SIZE AND WRONG TYPE SYSTEM TO WORK WITH BY MR. SISCO(OWNER/OPERATOR) WHO NEGOTIATED THE INSTALLATION AND CONTRACT. MR. SISCO DID NOT APPEAR SUPPORTIVE OF THE INSTALLERS AND HE ALSO STOPPED RESPONDING TO MY CALLS. THE INSTALLERS WERE LEFT TO THEIR OWN DEVICES TO GET THE SYSTEM UP AND RUNNING DESPITE MANY COMPLICATIONS. SOME CARPENTRY WORK WAS DONE WITHOUT OWNER PERMISSION. THE SYSTEM WAS NOT PROPERLY INSULATED. ADDITIONAL EXPENSES WERE LATER INCURRED TO HAVE THE INSULATION AROUND THE AIR HANDLER PROPERLY INSTALLED. THE INSTALLATION DID PASS TARPON SPRINGS CITY CODE. AS A RESULT I WAS ABLE TO OBTAIN A 200.00 DOLLAR CREDIT THROUGH PROGRESS ENERGY.

OFFERED AN INCENTIVE DISCOUNT BECAUSE I AM AN ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER.I CALLED CUSTOM FLORIDA AIR FOR SERVICE AROUND 10AM AND THE COMPANY OWNER ARRIVED TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM BEFORE 1PM-THE SAME DAY!AFTER COMPLETION OF THE REPAIR(IN 45 MINUTES) I WAS ALSO SHOWN POTENTIAL PROBLEMS WITH MY AGING SYSTEM AND WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE OF COST FOR FUTURE REPAIRS VERSES REPLACEMENT OF UNIT.WAS NOT PRESSURED TO HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL WORK OR TO REPLACE THE UNIT.INFORMATIVE AND PLEASANT.WOULD HIRE AGAIN.PRICE BY JOB NOT BY HOUR.
Description of Work: AIR CONDITIONING UNIT KEPT FREEZING.WORK PERFORMED INCLUDED SYSTEM CHECK,REPAIR LEAK,RECHARGE SYSTEM WITH FREON.
